American spies in WWII were caught in similar fashion because in Europe they don’t switch their fork and knife after cutting meat. It’s the little cultural things that make you stick out like a sore thumb sometimes.
I felt so justified when he said crossing your arms is not a way of blocking but a way of self soothing. I have autism and in primary school, I had one teacher who would always tell me off if I crossed my arms especially when I was overwhelmed and coming across angry.
Mark Twain was onto something, when he said "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt".
Me: after seeing this video, I'm holding flowers between my legs, breathing through my skin and kiss someone when I'm thinking. Now I'm ready to be a spy.
Holding cut flowers down helps keep the water in the steps thus preserving their colours. However you could say,"only those in Eastern Europe know that."! You should also note that spelling."Colours" with a 'U' shows I am a British secret agent.
Growing up in certain environments I can say that I do almost none of these. It’s crazy how much childhood experience can completely change everything about someone. My father is the passive aggressive type, who often guilt trips and then tries to brush it off and then tries to put something on you then brush it off and we’re always being sarcastic. theres mistrust in the relationship, constant lies and a rocky marriage. Picking up on his intentions and what he tries to do to me when he speaks. He uses vague language so I can never really hold something against him without sounding accusatory and angered. I haven’t figured out why, but I end up avoiding communication in every way. Im self aware of everything I say and do. This sounds like an edgy attention grabbing comment but it’s the truth. I don’t react when I find something to be repulsive, painful, hilarious, impressive, scary, or breathtaking. Its like my body is still, and I have to manually forge a reaction that fits what my thoughts were when I saw it so that people don’t think i’m ignoring them or that i’m just a rude person. The only behavior I notice myself doing is wiping sweats palms on my pants. This is all I have to say.
We are likely very different, but I really feel the same way sometimes. It may be worthwhile to try and get fully tested for ASD, often times this manifests with feelings of disconnectedness and/or self-isolation. Nearly always paired with extremely chronic over processing and an inability to just understand simple “human” communication.
@@LilB0pete ill look into it. Honestly its not a lack of social awareness or social confusion at all, I just struggle to express my emotions visibly and genuinely. Im well aware or maybe even abnormally aware of my own feelings and analytical of others. @@kakyoin5862 You wrote this 7 months ago, I think you sounded like a "normal" intelligent 15 year old, learning to be an adult, part of which is not showing some "genuine emotions". (Some jobs require these are hidden, e.g. medical professionals can't show disgust to a patient.)
@@pynn1000 i see what you mean. I’ve grown a lot since then😅, and more has happened. I don’t find any discomfort in the way I act now, I don’t see a genuine problem with my reactions anymore. My dad’s attitude also improved but thats because he does the bad stuff in secret now. Anyway thanks for your comment.
It's most likely just because you were reminded of blinking and now you are thinking about it and it feels like you are doing it more when really you aren't
My mom said that one way to read body language is to notice how someone acts when they are comfortable. If something suddenly changes, like someone who move around a lot suddenly sits still, then that means something is wrong e.g. they're uncomfortable about that topic or lying.
As an autistic person (with ADHD as well), I wonder what would happen if he tried interpreting my movements because I do a lot of random nonverbal movements and don't do a lot of "those nonverbals that neurotypical people just do instinctively when talking to someone." whereas I don't even know they exist.
Considering he said he's basically looking for sudden changes and for deliberate attempts to keep body language under wraps... You'd most likely be pretty safe.
I would feel sorry for any sad shmuck if they were assigned to monitor me. I'm a terribly boring person. Maybe their boss hates them? Yup, she's still watching silly crap on YT. Still sitting there. Oh, wait! She'sgettinganothercup of coffee! Yawn. They must have really f***ked up to deserve that.

This just goes to show you how some people can be wrongly identified or accused… Carrying flowers upside down is not indicative of your origin. I carry flowers upside down all the time because I know that you’re supposed to carry them that way. When they’re out of water it helps keep the water in the flowers, not drain down into the stems, so they last longer until you can put them in water again.
Carrying flowers is indeed not a foolproof indicator of your origins. Answering "it was the flowers wasn't it?" instead of "You don't know jack, I ain't no Ruskie spy!" when told "You're a Russian spy. Want to know how I know?" sure sounds pretty foolproof though.
What comes to mind is all those times in school where the teacher yells at you for having attitude for crossing your arms. It was a self hug this whole time.
When I was in grade school and everytime our principal would give a speech as we stand up in flag ceremonies, she woukd always tell us to cross our arms. Lol. She said it was uniform to look at rather than different arm positions
@@lenar6381 i think it "meand" you dont care what the person is saying. At leats thats what i heard at high school so i was so carefull not to cross my arms.
Notice his own body language. In the beginning of the video his left foot taps unconsciously while his right foot does a little dance on the toe of his shoe. He is somewhat nervous about how well he is doing in the video. Then take a look at his feet at the end. He has them both tucked under his chair and they are not moving because he is not sure of how he did and he has them under him for protection.
Also, notice that he says: "We primarily communicate non-verbally, and we always will." And he said that AFTER he spend 14+ minutes babbling VERBALLY. While his NON-VERBALS communicated that he's a nervous twit.
When your doing a test and you make eye contact with the teacher, you don’t want to sound suspicious but even acting like you aren’t suspicious is very suspiciously suspicious
That's what happens when I walk past workers in the store trying not to look like I just stole something while making myself look like I definitely stole something when I haven't lol
yeah especially when I’m cheating and try not to look suspicious thinking “man I bet I’m really suspicious now... hurry look out the window and pretend to look for the answers in the sky”

I am not brilliant, but I always found it easy to decipher ones' physical movements. How they sit, stand, walk, run, talk, touch, look. All living creatures emit an energy. Immediately sense it especially in ones' eyes, mouth area. Feel a vibe, tone, mood, and I am always right one way or another. Maybe because I am very creative, musical, sensitive, introspective. Tho', I always carry pepper spray. Never really know anyone energies can change in a heartbeat.

This is probably just a weird hobby but i really enjoy investigating and identifying the causes of peoples actions, something about being emotionally knowledgeable brings me satisfaction. I could call myself emotionally intelligent but im only 15 so claiming such things about myself is most likely not 100% true.

Also, notice that he says: "We primarily communicate non-verbally, and we always will."
And he said that AFTER he spend 14+ minutes babbling VERBALLY.
While his NON-VERBALS communicated that he's a nervous twit.
