Fantastic video! As a Sydneysider with only limited knowledge of Melbourne's railway network this was super interesting to watch, and the captions were very informative.
Thank you. I am very happy to hear you enjoyed it 👍 😀
New glenroy station is so cool
👍😀
Cant beat the sound of the V8 Deutz, much nicer than the impersonal Cummins in the Vlocities. Great vid, tks for posting it.
You're welcome. Very happy you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
Nothing beats an air cooled Deutz. Open a dictionary to the word 'reliable' and there's a picture of one
@@billyp4850 👍😀
thought I was on a train from Taralgon stuck behind a stopping suburban again
It seemed like that 🤣🤣👍😀
Another day, another part of the rail network suspended due to a trespasser.
A few to many trespassers. 🙄👍😀
Without railway crossings
👍😀
First! Very cool 👍
Good job 👍😀
Second ! Another good vid !
Almost first. Good job 👍😀
If you are filming from a Gopro then could you please add the speed display app to your Goprpo.
Signal 537 at nth melb. How the hell do you see the aspects? I can hardly see the colours. Is that just a distortion by the camera?
It is harder to see in the camera but it's still not the easiest to see when looking at it. 😀👍
and a bus connection to albury twice daily once the sprinter arrives at seymour
As well as three Albury trains per day. 👍😀
@@driver667 i think there be more than three services once they build more vlocites.
@@Mediawatcher2023 possibly 👍😀
Does the Seymour train usually stop at Essendon?
Some do during peak hour, most don't. 👍😀
thank you for the video. i have a question, do you choose when to do the train horn?
We have places that we have to blow the horn but it is also up to the driver to blow it at other places if required. Very happy you enjoyed the ride. 👍😀
Why were the signals not operating at Oak Park?
They were operating, just hard to see in the video. 👍😀
Did you film this with a camera inside and one outside the train like with your recent up Albury video? It sounds like it.
Yes but the sound is from inside. 👍😀
@@driver667 But I can still hear from both inside and outside the cab.
@@therealsammyvee888 I think I may have used a little of the sound from the outside as well on that one, come to think of it. 🤔 👍😀
@driver667 I thought so. I actually kinda like the videos that have audio from outside in addition to inside. Gives you a different perspective. Plus you can hear the road and station crossings better.
@@therealsammyvee888 it is nice to hear some of the outside sounds. 👍😀
Slow run until Broady wasn't it?
It certainly was 👍😀
@@driver667 heavy traffic ?
@@Mediawatcher2023 yes, from an earlier trespasser. 👍😀
@@driver667 ahh that be right
everything is happening at sunshine
Yes it was 🤣🤣👍😀
Do you notice a difference on the same lines between broad and standard gauge ?
No, the difference in track gauge doesn't make it ride different. The track condition makes the difference. 👍😄
@@driver667 May as well just replace all the track with 1435, would cost a fortune, ofc.
I wonder what it would actually cost for VIC.
@@acesretroonline there was a plan in the 1940's to do just that but the money dried up before it could be acted upon. 🤔👍😀
@@driver667 I only ask because I noticed the speed limits at 1:38:00, are they for both tracks heading into Seymour? Do the SG lines have different speed limits on curves and that sort of thing or are they just so similar mechanically that it doesn't matter?
Sorry if stupid question.
@@driver667 I guess they had a once in a 100 year opportunity during COVID, when everyone was locked up at home like a chump, to shut down the metro networks and do just that. Probably never going to happen now though.
