- Travel with the train driver as we journey from Southern Cross to Traralgon on this Bairnsdale service in the evening through the East of the state of Victoria, Australia in an N class diesel locomotive. Maximum speed for this train is 115kph.

I was wondering why you do not make a note on this video about where the old Yallourn branch line used to come of the main line at hearns oak? You do show where the newer Yallourn branch comes of the main line at Moe.
@@luckygen1001 the original Hearnes Oak is not where the current loop is. The original is further out in the open cut as is the original branch to Yallourn. As such, I can't show where the Yallourn line branched off. But I could've made reference to the original direction of the main line before it was deviated. 🤔😀👍

An EMD sound sadly being lost in Victoria. The sound of a Leslie RS5T horn being replaced by what sounds like a someone being strangled with a bra. Necessary progress, yes. Sad, yes too.

Question for the driver. Approaching Traralgon it sounds like the the throttle is still in power mode but I can hear dynamic brake at the same time. Can this be? (Thanks)
@@66secularist the engine revs up during dynamic braking. That is what you can hear along with the fans whining. 👍😀

@@therealsammyvee888 this one will only go to Traralgon as it was to dark past there to get any usable video unfortunately. I hope to do the whole trip later in the year when the days are longer before the locomotives finish. 👍😀
