Thank you Driver667. I have just subscribed after watching this trip. My assistance dog and I are planning on doing this trip soon. It's been many years since I have been on a train but my passion for seeing the old steam trains pass us near Maitland St, and giving us a huge whistle toot has never left me. My assistance dog will enjoy the trip to so keep an eye out mate. Thank you Driver667.
Can't believe my luck - I was looking for this journey yesterday but was out of luck! My four-year-old daughter loves your videos, always a bedtime treat for her.
I hope they make provision for the Queenscliff rail trail to start and finish near the Sth Geelong station,as it did before the works started, at 57.50 a great example of how signals work, red signal as a velocity clears the track ahead
The first place to start is keep an eye on the website of the company you would like to work for. They open applications every so often. Apply and that starts the process. Good luck 👍 😀
@@gheffz Yeah of sorts, there could be as many as 250 to 300 applicants, and by the time they go to Interviews, Medical and all that, there might be 20 in to training, and maybe 5 graduates ending up on actual services. Or for example, in WA, The Prospector shuttle between Perth and Kalgoorlie, when they do their intake, it is WELL known that if an applicant has come from Goods / Freight, they go to the top of the list because they already have extensive route knowledge and experience. But they will also look at applicants from regular suburban (Sparks) drivers as well.

Excellent. And I appreciate that you kept the stream rolling when at a red light. Adds to the overall appreciation of the situation.

It’s looks like metro vs vline at 38:50
Poor Corio, nothing ever stops at Corio :D
@@rick_fortune 🤣🤣 Every second train stops at Corio. Patronage is a bit lower there than other stations. 👍😀
@@driver667 I must keep missing those ones. 😀
@@rick_fortune 😂👍😀

at exactly 17:18 you are missing the R70 just after the L70, you can see the pole but the curve board has fallen off
Good job 👍😀
🤠
Glad you enjoyed it 👍😀
No point stopping at Corio, just let the train flow faster.
🤣🤣 the people getting off there might have something to say about that. 🤣🤣👍😀
Fantastic stuff, thank you! I want to be a train driver, Driver667, where do I start?

Vline or Metro websites for periodic intakes (As said by Driver667), but there are limited spaces, and its HOTLY contested, spots fill quickly.
@@ChannelReuploads9451 Yes, thank you CR9451... I expect it's bit like winning a lottery.
