    Not sure if you're still active, but quick question:
    First, I was happy to see your AIO mounted vertically on the side of the case, instead of top. I also noticed you're pulling air through the rad from the three fans inside.
    So, how are you filtering air on the outside that's entering the rad? (I couldn't see back side) And more importantly, do you think there's any benefit doing push/pull there?
    I have Corsair AR120s and the AL120V2s, BUT I have room to install three static TL-B12Ws onto the rad side facing out (and ofc the reg flow fans on the other side that you see inside case).
    It's a roomy case, the 5000D RGB airflow, and well I guess I wanna move a lot of air :)
    Thank you for video and reading.
    p.s. Just noticed your AIO is NZXT just like mine lol. Guess il experiment with NZXT's controller, the Corsair fans and Lian Li controller, hah.

    Thanks for posting this. Just placed a huge order with NewEgg yesterday, and I have to upgrade my case and power supply for the new video card. I just happened to get the exact same case and fans as you. My new AIO will be the Lian Li one though. I got 6 fans and planned to setup airflow exactly as you have yours. Since I'm using a Lian Li AIO, should I plug that into the Lian Li hub as well? Or should I plug that into the motherboard for CPU cooling control? This is my first AIO and I have some stuff to figure out. Your build looks great.

    with the 3-pack, does this methode only gives argb control through L-Connect? or also through for exemple Asus Armory Crate? because i don't see you plug in to the argb headers on the top of the motherboard. is this controlled by the usb 2.0 port?

    • @felixchien1664
      @felixchien1664 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Well they do. If they didn't interconnect, you'd have wires for every single fan. The multi hub connector is ubiquitous for all advanced computer fan packages. One way or another, the fans need to communicate. Also, when fans are interlinked, they act as one unit and only need a single comm and power.
      So yes, the Lian Li design saves a lot of wires. And there's even a lawsuit on other companies using their design IP

    This is awesome but like what are all those hubs in the back of your PC and what are they controlling? Like I wanna do exactly what you did here but I'm so confused as to the power output of these things. Like I don't wanna overload one hub or something. Why are there so many hubs in the back of your PC? I noticed you have the nzxt splitter one and another Lian Li one already mounted in the back on top of the one you just installed... what the hell is all that controlling? LOL
    I want to put a 3 fan AIO on the top mounted but also want 3 intake fans on the bottom like you did here as well as have 3 in the front along with the 2 strimers how many hubs would I need to do this and how do they even attach to the mobo? Thanks for your time. These are some of the best explained videos on youtube for this kind of thing, keep up the good work.

    • @BuildsWithV
      @BuildsWithV  ปีที่แล้ว

      So the nzxt hub is just a splitter for all the other hubs. One of the lian li hubs is for the lian li Strimer plus cables and the other hub is for the 3 fans on the side which were the v1 of these fans. I have removed them after this video to install these new fans so that hub is gone. Currently have 2 lian li hubs (one for Strimer cables and one for these new fans). My aio plugs into the nzxt usb splitter along with the other usb 2.0 devices.

I was hoping to sync all light effects from the l connect program. Will that require me to connect the strimmer hub to the unifan hub? • @BuildsWithV
      @BuildsWithV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sweetbiscuits91231 I’m not sure if you can connect the hub to the unifan hub however it might be possible. I think that was more for the older Strimer plus but not too sure. Back then, those strimers couldn’t be controlled by lian li software so you have to physically change it via the buttons or plug it into your motherboard for control which meant it was limited. Connecting the new ones to the unifan hub would be pretty much useless since the unifan and the Strimer v2 is now controlled by lian li l connect. You can control all the lian li lights within l connect at the same time and to the same color but I like to control everything separately to make my own styles.

    i noticed with the hub you didn't connect the fan header cable, is that because you just use the usb port/l connect 3 to manage it all?
    with perhaps the radiator fans you let it manage via radiator apps

    • @BuildsWithV
      @BuildsWithV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that’s correct, I just use l connect to control the top, bottom and rear fans. The 3 fans in the radiator is plugged into the nzxt pump to control those separately from l connect in case I have issues with l connect at least those 3 cpu fans will continue to work.

  • @SuicideRisk
    @SuicideRisk 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Air from inside the radiator will travel up. Right into that CPU pump. It's going to get pretty hot in there. ALWAYS make sure the radiator hose ports are ABOVE the CPU pump.

    • @BuildsWithV
      @BuildsWithV  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah except everyone forgets one very important fact… the air can never make it to the pipes. This is one of the best ways to mount your AIO.

    • @SuicideRisk
      @SuicideRisk 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @BuildsWithV Wrong. Over time, water evaporates. Even in a sealed radiator. Air rises. Right through the same tubes the water ran through. Strait to the pump. Your asking for trouble.

    • @BuildsWithV
      @BuildsWithV  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SuicideRisk yes the water evaporates but the air stays inside the radiator. If you’re telling me that the air can come all the way down through the radiator and into the pump then the air will have no issue making it down the tubes and back into the radiator. The logic doesn’t make sense. I’ve had my rads mounted like this for a long time. Not one single time have I had to hear air bubbles. When I had it mounted with tubes at top or even radiator on top of my case, heard air bubbles constantly hitting the pump.

    • @SuicideRisk
      @SuicideRisk 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @BuildsWithV If water can travel through those tubes, guess what, so can air. And air rises. Never mount a pump above the radiator, dude. You know what they say..F around and find out. Go check your "facts".
      I've been building computer systems for almost 25 years. I've replaced 100's of CPU's and AIO's due to pump failures because the AIO was mounted incorrectly. Enjoy!
