Lian Li needs to get their act together with their software. This is ridiculous that you gotta manually download the new version and uninstall the old version. Corsair's Icue is light years ahead in terms of how easy it is to update the firmware and app, all on the app.
@@cemsengul16so the sound will forever be loud ??😭😭 I been tryna find out how to change the rgb and it took forever but I figured it out but the software jus made the fans loud asf and I was thinking I messed something up😭
This is a great video. And very important. Especially because the SL-Inf and the TL now have different controllers as well, not to mention the LCD AIO is different as well.
Thank you for the great breakdown of the controller and what ports need to be used. I was about to go order a new USB Hub and discovered I dont need it at all.
Good Advice. I recently built a new system with (4) Lian Li SL fans and (3) Lian Li TL LCD fans. They are working great now, but were problematic to get working properly. The main issue that I ran into was that both of the Lian Li controller boxes would not be recognized by the Lian Li software unless they were plugged directly into the motherboard USB fan header (no splitter) or into the 1st USB port in a USB hub. Hopefully this problem has been fixed with the latest firmware update. Keep in mind that the TL fans do not include additional cables to separate the fans into 2 differnt areas of your PC and that you cannot daisy chain TL and SL fans. The only other issue that I encountered was with the triangular rubber pieces that push into the corners of the SL fans began to curl outward slightly with less than 24 hours of use. This is strictly a cosmetic issue, but is annoying on a premium product.
You could also mention that it helps if you go to "Quick/Sync Lighting" and on the top right corner there`s the Export Import tabs so you can save your fan speed settings, light settings etc instead of reapplying them if you had to re-install the software.
One of my issues with L-connect is it causes stuttering in games. I still use it and close it within task manager. I think it is a problem unique to 7800x3d chips. But if you have a better work around, I would love to hear it!
I had the exact same problem. It was peaking at about 30% due to an .exe it runs (I've done a video on this) I was running the TL LCD fans with hardware feedback/visuals. But once I changed all that to static JPEG, those spikes are gone. I too am running 7800x3d. So you maybe into something there.
Thank you so much doing video about this. You wont believe how many including me looking YT videos like that and testings are done with many fans and groups together. Also reverse blade is more important than ever due to wanting mirror or LCD facing correct way. Also the push pull is what i looked for with these fans and AIO configuration and 95% YT videos never try that. Thanks to your previous videos i orderd correct amount of Lian Li Uni reverse fans. I would have ordered wrong ones if i didnt see your videos.
Extremely helpful video. New to all of this and there was a lot of confusion. I found building the PC itself to be easier than configuring the fans lmao
Once again great videos, keep up the great work, so I searched around the web and did not see many or really any videos on installing the Lian Li Strimer Plus V2 Cables, My wife went all Lian Li fans LCD's etc. so your videos have been a big help. DO you happen to have plans to make one on those cables, even just the Strimer Plus would work as well, I assume they are close to the V2. Thank you and keep up the great work.
Mate so you can add a single fan to the controller hug using a flat connector? Do the flat connector that comes with the 3x pack infinity fans, can be use in a single infinity fan?????
Recently discovered your videos and have been finding them really helpful! I'm getting ready to do a new build since my pump on my old one is failing and can't seem to find a single aio to fit my old socket. My new build is practically Lian Li everything! Got the 011 dynamic evo xl, strimers, infinity fans (three 120 reverse blade for the radiator, three 140 reverse blade for bottom, three 140 for the top and a pack of 120s so I could have one for the back and get the hub), looks like I'm making out too because Amazon sent me the wrong package and instead of getting my Galahad II lcd aio I got a 3 pack of the lcd fans that they are letting me keep and am just waiting on getting my replacement Galahad. I'm really excited but also nervous since it's going to be the first time building the pc myself! I'm curious about the L-connect software, you recommend uninstalling the old software and reinstalling it for the new versions, does that wipe your settings every time you do that? Do you have to reconfigure all of your settings for lighting and fan controls or is it carried over on the new install? Also, with the Galahad, from what I can tell and have seen, they want the lcd screen with pump tubes on the bottom. Since I plan on side mounting my radiator, if I have my motherboard installed moved up a bit higher will there be enough room for the tubes to go under the RAM to not block the RGB lights on them? Any recommendations for that?
One annoyance I have with LianLi fans is the fact that I have to use 3 seperate controllers to get 3 (3 sets of 3 fans) different fan RPMs controlled by another controller (Aquacomputer Octo) plus the rats nest of wires coming from the controllers that isnt needed (5V ARGB, 2 SATA connectors etc) I feel like they should've made a seperate controller thats 1 port only thats 1/4 the size
Thanks so much for this detailed guide! I'm planning a build with 3x120 Intake Reverse, 2x140 Intake Reverse(bottom), 1x140 Output(back), and a Lian Li AIO(top). However, in some reviews I'm reading that the 140mm single pack fans don't come with a cable compatible with the fan controller hub, which I plan to buy separately. Are the cables that come with the 140mm fans compatible with the hub or do they need to be plugged in another way? Or do I need to find separate cables that do connect to the hub?
as said youll get enough cables from the tripple pack, but the single packs will only come with a cable that is split in a standard pwm part and ARGB part if you are still wondering. At 9:52 you can see that cable from a single pack
Sorry I am late to the party although I have a question I can't seem to find the answer to. If you have multiple model Lian Li fans in your build (such as TL coupled with SL-INF) does the software work as if they were all the same and manage to sync the lights going throughout the build or its every model of fans with its capabilities and slightly different light game?
I haven't really done that but there are some universal lighting options that can sync across the fans yes. Different models might have other options though
@TheProvokedPrawn thanks for the quick response, I think I'll try writing them an email. As a gamer, I don't have the money to buy and test and I just wanna let as few things as possible unanswered by reading and planning ahead!
Where could I get some help with setting up the rgb to be customisable I’ve had nothing but issues with it not being able to change colours using the L connect software?
Issues I've had so far since owning Lian Li fans and AIO for a month or so: 1. 120mm Exhaust fan rubs on it self at higher speeds; Cant seem to see where from after inspecting and its intermittent, might RMA. 2. Screens on the LCD can revert to the Lian Li logo, after the system has been on for a while, restarting LConnect 3 does nothing and I have to cycle the power. 3. Screws don't get tight in some of the fans like the thread is striped even though I have not overly tightened them, like they are made form cheese. 4. Fans are over sized so didn't fit into the NZXT H6 case, had to return case and buy O11 Vision, as I really wanted the fans. 5. LConnect 3 is temperamental, some of the animations for the AIO screen are just crap, but at least you can customise quite well. 6 The clear bearing cover on the TL fans looks unfinished and cheap, no wonder they on show spinning on the website. 7. Cables out the AIO block, especially the USB are large, stick out to much and hard to route, the 90 degrees bend on the USB makes it hit the other cable and I just don't know why it cant be one connector. 8. Hard to sync all the lighting on the fans in LConnect 3. 9. The shades of white between the Galahad AIO block and fans are way different. System: O11 Vision White, Lian Li GPU Vertical Mount, 3x140mm Uni Fan TL Reverse, 3x120mm Uni Fan LCD Reverse, 1 x 120mm Uni Fan normal. Galahad II LCD 360, 14700k, MSI Z790 Edge, 32GB G Skill Trident Z 7200, MSI RTX 4080 Gaming X Slim White. Love the fans though, look really smart, bit disappointed with the rubbing fan though. As for the AIO block, I think the Corsair AIO LCD looks better but it still looks good. Let me know if anyone wants a quick video of the system to see how looks, I can post on my channel, was a bit peed off as well the slashes on on the 4080 Gaming X slim fan shroud don't light up, like they do in the product images but 3rd world problems hey.
Hey I’m currently having the issue with the LCD AIO reverting to the Lian Li logo. What did you do in order to fix it? What do you mean by cycling the power? Unplug the usb-C and replug it in?
@@xxaznboi4uxx Hi, I've just had to rearranged the fans, as in bottom to middle, etc, just moved them around and it started working again. Trouble is I can't work out how to rearranged in order now, LConnect is so crap.
Do you have experience with the TL fan LCD's just showing white flickering, when selecting "sensor" from the dropdown. Everything else on the fans works fine. They can do images, videos and animations just fine. But as soon as I select "sensor" to see CPU, GPU etc. temp info, they just have this white flickering on the default style. Seleting other styles kinda works, but not 100%. No text is displayed, no matter which style, but the "template" for the style is shown, except for style 1, which is just white flickering. I have wired it according to the specfications. The TL controller is on it's own USB connection on the mobo, the 6pin power is on one of the spares for the GPU power. Lian li is not really helping with this, even tho I filed a service request. I have seen on reddit, that other people have the same problem.
Lian Li software should accept other sensor temp like the sensor of the Motherboard so I can control the speed of the fans according to the liquid temp.
Installed the lian li tl-lcd fans today. But the problem is while the fans do spin and the lcd is on, the rgb doesn't work. Even with changing hub ports, usb and rgb connector. I installed microsoft visual c++ from their site, i then installed l-connect 3. I installed the latest drivers. But when i go to TL-fan utility, at the top it says TL Controller01. But on the page it says: " the number of fans is set to 0, please click the button to reset". And when i click on set fan quantity, it takes me to settings where it does show the hub. But with fans it says "fan total 0/0" Do someone might know a fix?
@@Zufield Yea i found the problem a few days ago. It wasn't that. After a few hours of finding it. It was a single broken pin onn the connector, which would still rotate the fan and show the rgb. But the software wouldn't notice the fan and so it didn't show the new driver update for that 1 particular fan and wouldn't let me change the image in the screen because the software didn't recognize it. While it did allow me to change the rgb and fan curve in the app. I returned it and should be getting a new one soon.
how can I connect the rgb for single pack SL Infinity fans to the lian li galahad aio controller because the cable the single pack comes with has the rgb cable for motherboard and not the one the aio controller uses. EDIT: I found out the cooler comes with the adapter for it if so how many?
What non rgb fans are similar to the infinity fans. The purpose is to set up my radiator for push and pull with one side rgb and the other side no rgb.
Ever since installing my fans and the controller I've been having usb disconnecting and connecting sounds and all my fans would light up for a quick second, I've been doing a lot of research but I cant find a fix.
My lian li fans the sl infinity ..i got (3) triple packs and a single pack . Didnt get that splitter cable you have to plug into the NZXT pump and the other into the sync port on the controller. When i seen you had that i looked in all the boxes and nothing . So i had to plug all my fans into the fan controller and use L-connect . Which im hoping i did right ..im new to this
This is a great video, although I am a little stuck, I want to run 7 lian li 120 uni SLV2's and 4 140mm but I don't know if I need different controllers or cables. Preferably I want it running off of one lian li controller. Any help in solving my issue is greatly appreciated
So if i plug the fans on the radiator to the controller, I do not need the cpu_fan header at all, and just need to adjust the fan speeds in the software? Also the one cable that connects a set of 3 fans to the controller does both the rgb and power?
Useful video, thank you. 🙏🏻 Do you think using a push/pull configuration on an Arctic Freezer III 360mm AIO mounted to the top of an Antec Performance 1 FT case offers a big enough improvement in lowering temperatures on a 13900K compared to just having the standard 3 x 120mm included fans exhausting out of the top of the case to make it worthwhile?
On this watercooling push pull setup, is it necessary to add fans on the back of the case ? I just realized by watching your video that I didn't thought about those fans in the back. Cheers ☺️
Hello I have a question since I have the 3 pack of lian li uni fan sl inf 120 and the 2 of the reverse uni fans sl inf but both of them came with different cables can you use the the 3 pack cables on the reverse? Another quick question since I have aswell the lian li Galahad II lcd-sl infinity can’t I use the same cable of the 3 pack and connect it with the rgb controller?
I hope you can help me here. I have 6 SL120 v2 fans, they are daisy chain. So in port 1 of the controller I have connected the 6 fans. The issue is that only the 1st fan, the one closer to the controller, I can control the speed, the other 5 are at full speed all the time, but the RGB in all 6 are good and synced.
Big fan of LianLi here, the Infinity and new TL fans are looking astonishing, but....out of 18 fans I recently bought (10 infinity's and 8 Tl's) 3 of Tl already failed. problems with failing LEDs and squeaking coils. LianLi support already send me a new ones, but I'm afraid that rest of them will fail some day. loks like Infinity fans are much more reliable of the two.
Hay I was wondering if there was a way to have the fans change color baised on either fan speed or gpu temperature. I've watched a couple videos and I don't think the lian li L connect has what I'm looking for
Im having an issue with L Connect, it is causing my external hard drive to continuosly flash. If I end the l connect service in task manager it stops flashing , as soon as L Connect starts back up it begins flashing again. Any ideas?
I have a question, I bought 3 lcd, 6 140mm infinity fans (3 reversed 3 regular) and a single regular 120mm. I’m new to building PCs and I’m not sure how to connect all of them together? (All are lian li)
I need help.. when I turn on my Computer it turns on my Trinity II Preformance then turns off, it also does not register at all in the app, any ideas on what I can do? wiring seems to work
Can I use this on a new pc build that’s has never been booted up using the controller my air cooler has different fans so those should be on while I boot up the pc and download the Lconnect software
if my case came with an rgb controller and a button dedicated to it, and i end up switching the fans to these, could the button still work with the lian li fans? and if you had more than one rgb controller (both lian li) would you still have to connect both of your sata from ur psu to one?
I have a question. I’ve ever been connected. I haven’t downloaded the software yet. But the RGB on the fans work as it should, but the pump on first boot displays colors and then once the pump fully switches on it just goes to solid white. Is that an issue with the RGB wiring or does it manually need to be set up in the software before it displays properly? I have the pump wired in with the fan control controller because I have an extra one. I’ve tried the RGB to the motherboard and the control controller and it just stays white.
@@TheProvokedPrawn it’s the GA 2 trinity sl-inf 240 aio. It works perfect with L-connect but is completely unresponsive to motherboard RGB. When connected to motherboard RGB it will work for about half a second and then the pump just goes back to solid white. The fans work just fine All other RGB devices work with no issue and I’ve tried every RGB header individually.
Thank you for this. I've watched your other 2 or 3 Lian Li videos from 2022 which is how I realized my mistakes (and Lian Lis terrible packing of hardware.) I've had a nightmare trying to connect these for my first build (Hyte y70, 7800X3D, 4090) but bought 2 3pks v1, 1 single v1 and the AIO. AIO controller is where I ran into the issue because the 3pks don't connect to that but the singles do. So returned one of the 3pks to get 3 singles and use the connectors that come with those to hook up to the AIO controller unit (bought the Lian Li USB splitter but was going to over complicate things for my first time building so thats currently a waste) Also saw that Lian Li Computex booth this year and they're talking about v3(?) and how they're doing away with all the wire complications (which does me no good now cause I'm already invested. Luckily I took advantages of all the sales that were happening a week ago)
weird same build im having the same issue, my fans always are not working, either ligths on fans off, fans on lights off, or a few is botth on and some fans nothing and i cant fix anything from l connect even when it shows up
Question, can i use the controller I got with the galahad ii lcd or the controller with the strimmer plus v2 to connect my 6 lian li uni inf reverse blades ?
Since connecting my GA II LCD Cooler to the MB along The coolers controller I now see and can control my fans but prior to that I could not because I had the usb connector going to the psu. So now I have my strimer controller hooked up to the psu and now in LConnect I cant see my strimers. What should I do to fix this situation? Should or can I buy a usb header splitter and have 2 connections on one header so all works?
i haven't got any problems with my SL INFINITY 120mm FANS : if the instructions are follow according to the manual i think there won't be a problem with them: i got 9 fans on my Evo xl Lian Li case for now am planning to get 3 more for the bottom rail since they are so quite n so versatile
have both, both looking great, TL led effects are more brighter and they have bigger morror, infinity have iluminated blades. Month into using it ends for me in RMA 3 of the TL fans, led burning out and failing coils. Thankfully LianLi support working great with replacing them. Overall I preffer InF > TL
I just got the Lian Li sl120 fans, but I don't have the controller (I only have/need 2 of those fans) I have them synced up correctly but when I plugged it into my Corsair Commander Pro, the PWM cable got really hot, plus the RGB port isn't recognized. Is it a problem with my power or what? Should I try and plug this into my motherboard instead?
So my 3 side intake fans and one exhaust fans in the back are reading as CPU fans in L Connect 3 Is this a problem? If it is how can I fix it ?? It won’t let me change the CPU option to GPU or anything else Also none of them are plugged into the MB the cords weren’t long enough for the single and triple fan didn’t have enough power so I’m using the sata cord to power them
Am I correct and is it only possible to connect 6 fans to one port?? At least it looks like to me as I have a push pull config with 4 fans on each side of the radiator. I daisy chained them. But the software only shows 6 for each port.
I cant get the system to find the fan controller. I only have 2 options on the l3 connect software system info and settings nothing else. i want to use the LCD fans but I'm getting ready to rip them out
@@TheProvokedPrawn thank you I have watched that video multiple times. The main issue I am having is my motherboard only has one USB 2.0 port and I can only connect to it with a splitter that the Lian Li fans don't like. I have an EVGA CLC aio also that requires a USB connection
@@TheProvokedPrawn I got the fans and software to work . I had to add an NZXT USB hub to the system to get the L3 software and the PC to recognize they were installed, The motherboard only had one USB 2.0 port
I really really wanted these fans in my Evo XL case, but the trouble with L-connect 3 having major issues of not showing fans, not being able to control the speed, I just bought the icue link RX120 instead, say what you like about Corsair, but for me their stuff just works.
Sorry to hear you had problems. I've not really suffered from problems, but I haven't with Corsair either. It's interesting to read different opinions though, I've seen plenty say Corsair is awful too xD
@@TheProvokedPrawn Mr Prawn, you absolute legend, I haven't bought the Lian Li fans but I wanted to, but seeing many many users having issues with the L-Connect 3, well it really put me off. I have a lot of corsair stuff already, Ram, mouse, keyboard headset, Hydro X D5 pump/res, radiators e.t.c and felt my LL120's are just not doing a good job. I was going to get the infinity fans as they look so good, but with all the reported problems I have gone with corsairs Icue link system and RX120 fans as I have a little more confidence and experience with Icue, if that all makes sense. I hope you have a wonderful day sir 👍
Hello so I can’t change the color of mine fan and I tried to scan mine device but it says if the update failure please click for information and I click it it brings me back to the download fans thing please help me
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software? Make sure you have the latest version. I'm assuming that you've got all the connections right?
I am having an issue where the rgbs in my aio are not lighting up and my system is not recognizing the lian li hardware I have tried everything including sending the unit back for a new one. I have the same issue so it’s definitely something that I am doing wrong. Lian Li L connect 3 doesn’t recognize there is anything there so I don’t get options to control any of the fans/rgbs.
@@TheProvokedPrawn yes I checked it four times moved things around the fans light up but the aio doesn’t. My computer doesn’t recognize the devices so I can’t manually update them. I have an Asus Z-690- G it might be a comparability issue
For some reasons my sl inf fans always goes back to default rainbow rgb when waking up from sleep which requires me to go into l connect and apply my settings to change it back. The tl lcd fans doesn’t have this problem also this doesn’t happen when the pc reboots only when waking up from sleep.
I'm currently waiting on a whole mess of infinity fans to arrive so i can upgrade my build, but i heard (after i ordered) that if the hub ever loses power (i.e. psu power switch is flipped off) you'll lose you're saved rgb and fan curve profiles, is that true? If so... I'll be ditching the hub and connecting direct to the motherboard. I like to turn the psu off all the way after i shut my system down
I bought a 205Mini Mesh 6 months ago, and the front fans have dimmed out about half the brightness while also dying blue lights causing white and blue tones look yellowish. How these leds last for so so little is awful for some of the worst value to performance 140 fans. As ridiculous as it sounds, the Arctic ARGB 140's are cheaper and better, and the LED's don't die.
Hi, i have a problem with my fans. All of my fans are spinning good, but on 6 of my fans, the rgb doesnt work anymore ) i have 9 total 120mm fans ), only the rgb on the radiator fans work. I tried everything, update firmware manually, change cable in different port, bought new psu. Nothing seems to work. Theres a little bit of rgb light on 1 of my bottom fan, but in general, the bottom fans and upper fans there is no rgb anymore. Are the fans just broken or ?
Is push-pull even worth it? I read that it's only a 1-3% °C difference, vs a standar 3 120's. I also don't like how it looks (top mount), I can still put them in but I feel like id be throwing away money
It's varies depending on the setup in my experience. Makes quite a difference with an i9 but there are other options (like undervolting or running faster fans)
@@TheProvokedPrawn really? I got a 4090 i9 14900k top AIO, my case favors GPU cooling and what I've been reading seems to be universal. Can I control 3 Corsair fans that came with the AIO with the Lian Li controller? Thanks for the reply tho
Maybe i have OCD or something but the GPU strimer cable never looks right. Look how flush and clean the 24pin looks, then the GPU strimer has a fair amount of cable before the RGB even starts. I dunnno, it just looks off.....
I have the GA ll lcd cpu radiator, uni fan tl lcd reverse blade and 3 other uni fans. I have 3 controllers dont know which to use. Only 2 usb headers and am i screwed 🙃
God knows whats going on with my system, I've had my rig just over a year which I won in a competition pretty high end system but came pre built, im not the best with tech issues and my rig has run like a dream for a year but the past month one set of my Lian Li daisy chain fans are running full RPM whilst the other 2 sets are running perfectly the noise is driving me crazy and for the love of God I cant find a fix, cant control the fans in BIOS cant control the fans from Connect 3 software, nor MSI centre, or the Kraken cooler, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated I also downloaded 3rd party software last night called Fan control hoping that I could control the fans from there, only issue was it didn't even recognise the fans in my rig only GPU fan and Pump fan whatever that means.
I was considering Lian Li Uni fans but I think I got something better, no not the Phantek D30. I got APNX FP2 full metal case 120mm (d 30mm) and these come with extra reversible fan (though do be careful when you pop out the default fans from case). Not as tidy with regard to cable management as Lian Li, but much cheaper and more efficient. Really impressive, the APNX visuals are eye candy :)
Having a tuff time with my new build. Using the TL line Hydro shift AIO LCD with 3 Tl fans top mount 3 LCD TL’s side mount 3 regular TL’s bottom mount 1 140mm TL back mount L-connect 3 doesn’t recognize none of the fans. They all turn on and spin
Yes i had everything connected to one controller. I end up using 2 controllers. One dedicated for the AIO and the other controller for the other fans. Worked like a charm after
all of my fans rgb works perfectly fine but the bottom 3 wont spin and i've already checked for updates in l connect. what can i do to get the fans to spin? edit: manually updating doesn't work either it says both controllers are on the latest update
Be very careful with the USB connection. It is extremely delicate on the controller. You can only plug it in once. I unplugged it from the controller and it broke off the connections inside.
Have 6 reverse 140mm and a normal 120 in my case, very overkill but its super silent. Only fans i can hear r my aio cause im using arctics included fans. Love the fans, hate the software.
What do I need to do if one fan port showing 0 in RPM? but the ARGB and fan is working? I have replaced the cable, doesn't fix the issue. Is anyone else having the same problem?
Hello i have a Big problem i use TL/LCD Lian Li Uni Fan with TL Uni HUB Controller but He had 6Pin for Power supply but i Use be quiet 12 power 1000w Platin Edition but idk to plug into can anyone help me for the right cabel pls thx
Lian Li needs to get their act together with their software. This is ridiculous that you gotta manually download the new version and uninstall the old version. Corsair's Icue is light years ahead in terms of how easy it is to update the firmware and app, all on the app.
True
1000 percent right
Lconnect can't even stick to the speed you set so the fans make an oscillating sound.

Lian LI is definitely my go to fans for my rigs, the reverse fans are a game changer when it comes to aesthetics.
Yeah they're a simple but nice change for the look of the build. Especially for the infinity fans
there's many brands with reverse fans too, that are not as expensive and that have RGBW instead of just RGB.

This is a great video. And very important. Especially because the SL-Inf and the TL now have different controllers as well, not to mention the LCD AIO is different as well.
This may be my problem. I'ma try to fix this tonight
Thank you! I have watched so many of your videos and this one finally cleared up all my questions about using Infinity fans on a Kraken AIO.
Glad it helped!
You have a beautiful deep narrator’s voice Mr Prawn. 🍤
Thanks Frank. Hope you like it enough to sub :)
You could also mention that it helps if you go to "Quick/Sync Lighting" and on the top right corner there`s the Export Import tabs so you can save your fan speed settings, light settings etc instead of reapplying them if you had to re-install the software.
Thank you for all these detailed videos!
Glad you like them!
One of my issues with L-connect is it causes stuttering in games. I still use it and close it within task manager. I think it is a problem unique to 7800x3d chips. But if you have a better work around, I would love to hear it!
is it resolved for you? I have a 7800X3D with Lian Li fans, haven't had any stuttering issues
@cks2020693 actually seems to be updated the software by uninstalling then reinstalling a new version!
I had the exact same problem. It was peaking at about 30% due to an .exe it runs (I've done a video on this)
I was running the TL LCD fans with hardware feedback/visuals. But once I changed all that to static JPEG, those spikes are gone.

NZXT Kraken Elite 360 with Lian Li SL120 Infinity unifan are the most used combo ngl
Thanks. I'm working on a similar build in the Antec C8.
Can you control the argb colours of tl LCD fans over your motherboards controller?

Awesomely described !😮
Thanks
One annoyance I have with LianLi fans is the fact that I have to use 3 seperate controllers to get 3 (3 sets of 3 fans) different fan RPMs controlled by another controller (Aquacomputer Octo) plus the rats nest of wires coming from the controllers that isnt needed (5V ARGB, 2 SATA connectors etc) I feel like they should've made a seperate controller thats 1 port only thats 1/4 the size
Is the controller all the same pins, like 3 pins and 4 pins?
12:18 - I have the hydraTL and I dont see anything in myFan/Pump Profile
Is it worth to buy 3 more fans on the back? I mean, is it just for aesthetics or does the push pull function heavily help?
It helps. Whether it "heavily" helps depends on the case airflow, ambient temps, etc
@TheProvokedPrawn i was planning to build a Lian Li compact. I have seen others put the fans on the back but not sure about it.
@@danybayor I haven't done it in the Vision Compact but it's certainly worth it in that case because airflow can be limited.
@@TheProvokedPrawngotcha, so it's like a double reverse on the side?
Thanks so much for this detailed guide! I'm planning a build with 3x120 Intake Reverse, 2x140 Intake Reverse(bottom), 1x140 Output(back), and a Lian Li AIO(top). However, in some reviews I'm reading that the 140mm single pack fans don't come with a cable compatible with the fan controller hub, which I plan to buy separately. Are the cables that come with the 140mm fans compatible with the hub or do they need to be plugged in another way? Or do I need to find separate cables that do connect to the hub?
The triple pack comes with four of those cables
@@TheProvokedPrawn Thanks! Keep doing what you're doing to help us newbies!
as said youll get enough cables from the tripple pack, but the single packs will only come with a cable that is split in a standard pwm part and ARGB part if you are still wondering.
Issues I've had so far since owning Lian Li fans and AIO for a month or so:
1. 120mm Exhaust fan rubs on it self at higher speeds; Cant seem to see where from after inspecting and its intermittent, might RMA.
No disrespect but your system RGB would trigger my OCD.
Hey I’m currently having the issue with the LCD AIO reverting to the Lian Li logo. What did you do in order to fix it? What do you mean by cycling the power? Unplug the usb-C and replug it in?

@@-Highlander-42 Hi its a MSI Z790 Edge Wifi, just on the XMP profile. Only had one game crash but the system didn't, but I blame PUBG for crashing.
But with fans it says "fan total 0/0"
Do someone might know a fix?
Use ports 2, 3, or 4 for your LCD fans.
I returned it and should be getting a new one soon.
my issue is the fan that has the cable is the brightest compared to the linked fans
What happens if you can't find the devices in the manual update software but they are properly connected?
how much SL infinity fans a single sata cable from psu can handle
how can I connect the rgb for single pack SL Infinity fans to the lian li galahad aio controller because the cable the single pack comes with has the rgb cable for motherboard and not the one the aio controller uses.
Do you think using a push/pull configuration on an Arctic Freezer III 360mm AIO mounted to the top of an Antec Performance 1 FT case offers a big enough improvement in lowering temperatures on a 13900K compared to just having the standard 3 x 120mm included fans exhausting out of the top of the case to make it worthwhile?
There a way to control TL 120 fans without downloading L Connect?

You'd have to use motherboard controls via the sync option. Not sure why you would though
On this watercooling push pull setup, is it necessary to add fans on the back of the case ? I just realized by watching your video that I didn't thought about those fans in the back. Cheers ☺️
Not necessary but it can give a cooling boost.

Can we use tripple UNI FAN TL 140 Reverse Black 140mm for NZXT Kraken Elite 360 RGB aio?
Hay I was wondering if there was a way to have the fans change color baised on either fan speed or gpu temperature. I've watched a couple videos and I don't think the lian li L connect has what I'm looking for

So if I want the radiator fans to be exhaust, I have to buy reverse blades for it? I thought reverse fans were supposed to be intake
Reverse blades are intake, depending on how you mount them.
Hello. I’m using your fan config. 9 intake, 4 exhaust. Do you recommend regular or reverse blades for the exhaust?
The exhaust should be regular, it's the intake that should be reverse
I have a question, I bought 3 lcd, 6 140mm infinity fans (3 reversed 3 regular) and a single regular 120mm. I’m new to building PCs and I’m not sure how to connect all of them together? (All are lian li)

if my case came with an rgb controller and a button dedicated to it, and i end up switching the fans to these, could the button still work with the lian li fans? and if you had more than one rgb controller (both lian li) would you still have to connect both of your sata from ur psu to one?
Doubt the button would work. But yes you can usually connect more than one device on sata
@okay, thank you. great video!
Without knowing which pump it's hard to say but yes it could be software needed
So returned one of the 3pks to get 3 singles and use the connectors that come with those to hook up to the AIO controller unit (bought the Lian Li USB splitter but was going to over complicate things for my first time building so thats currently a waste)
Also saw that Lian Li Computex booth this year and they're talking about v3(?) and how they're doing away with all the wire complications (which does me no good now cause I'm already invested.
I have one group that just wont change speed no matter what cables are plugged in. I just cant work it out. Why would one change and not the other?
Since connecting my GA II LCD Cooler to the MB along The coolers controller I now see and can control my fans but prior to that I could not because I had the usb connector going to the psu. So now I have my strimer controller hooked up to the psu and now in LConnect I cant see my strimers. What should I do to fix this situation? Should or can I buy a usb header splitter and have 2 connections on one header so all works?
L connect 3 keeps freezing my computer and i have no idea why and i cannot find any guides on them.
Is there even a diffrnece in performance between the strix 4090 oc vs non oc verions?
🤷🏼♂️ I assume so but it's not something I've tested
My firmware is updated and everything is connected properly but they still won’t spin I have the rbg working but they won’t spin no matter what
Power is connected to the controller? Zero rpm mode is not on in L connect?
i haven't got any problems with my SL INFINITY 120mm FANS : if the instructions are follow according to the manual i think there won't be a problem with them: i got 9 fans on my Evo xl Lian Li case for now am planning to get 3 more for the bottom rail since they are so quite n so versatile
What fan is best for an AIO? UNI FAN TL or UNI FAN SL-INF? Both look nice i just wanna pick the best performer for on a radiator.
have both, both looking great, TL led effects are more brighter and they have bigger morror, infinity have iluminated blades.
You shouldn't be connecting those fans to a Commander Pro. So yes, try the motherboard
So my 3 side intake fans and one exhaust fans in the back are reading as CPU fans in L Connect 3
Is this a problem? If it is how can I fix it ??
It won’t let me change the CPU option to GPU or anything else
Also none of them are plugged into the MB the cords weren’t long enough for the single and triple fan didn’t have enough power so I’m using the sata cord to power them
That's not really an issue as long as the temps are good.
Am I correct and is it only possible to connect 6 fans to one port?? At least it looks like to me as I have a push pull config with 4 fans on each side of the radiator. I daisy chained them. But the software only shows 6 for each port.
Four fans per port for a total of 16 if I recall correctly th-cam.com/video/P1_8M6S9XJ0/w-d-xo.html
