Nice tutorial. Just a comment, the difference actually is the diameter of the cabe sitting, its possible to see that on the side by side comparison. Take care!!
Gotta get on the highway and see that top end your definitely going to hit that a good bit quicker than normal mine definitely takes a little longer to hit top end speeds. I might have to get that! But I also have the sprockets changed to give it a little better too end and she still has Bea jumps at low speeds gotta love that torque on these things! R6 throttle tube upgrade? Ok thanks for the info!
hey man i just got my 2022 MT-03 today and i would like to ask if there is more upgrade that i will do apart from that r6 throttle grip mod?more power to your channel bro!
Awesome vid man thanks heaps! Quick question is it normal for the r6 throttle to be a little loose in the horizontal direction?? Still works 100% fine just moves around a tiny bit
Did it come with its own grip as well? So now you are handlebar grips don't match, unless you replace both? I just ordered mine, can't wait for that shorter pull!
Did you also adjust the throttle cables? I put mine on and it sticks when I install the bottom plastic plate on the ignition. Like there is no problem with it off but when I reinstall the plastic plate on the bottom it sticks when it’s supposed to snap back to return.
ITS WEIRD BECAUSE IVE SEEN SOME SUPER COMPLICATED THROTTLE TUBE REPLACEMENT FOR SALE FOR 100 PLUS FROM REV ZILLA AND HEARD YOU CANT JUST REPLACE THE TUBE ON THE MT 03. BUT YOU JUST DID SO IM GONNA TRY IT OUT. ALREADY BOUGHT THE PART. THANKS!!!
I have everything together except for that bottom plastic piece at video marker 1:15. When I actually get it go back on, the throttle sticks at wide open lol but with it not on it kicks back to 0% throttle each time. Tried re doing the whole thing a couple times and without fail it sticks. Wondering if you had this too?
Ok I lied and im baffled. When I have the bike on it feels normal but when the bike is off it takes forrever for the tube to return to zero. I'm lost. Might put the old one back on.
I just ordered mine, is there any negative at all with changing the throttle throw? Will it still perform the same top speed and everything at full throttle/twist? Please let me know if anyone has found any negative results or issues. Thanks 😊
Added the Mod and adjusted my clutch lever. And man what a crazy difference!!! Now it feels like my Ducati when pulling off from 1st! It was harder for me to ride coming from a super-sport with the stock throttle because of the lag and how much you had to twist to get the thing going. I 150% approve this mod. Should have been like this from factory.
@@thesuburbanGenny I think I figured out that I just need to adjust the cable tension/length. It was binding when I had the bar on full lock (I did the swap with the steering locked) but as soon as I straightened the bars just a little bit it was fine. Thanks for the video btw, and this has to be the best $30 mod for the bike you could possibly get lol
I just installed mine and for some reason the throttle is now sticking. Anyone have any clue why that would happen? It’s a 2020, and it felt like there was enough grease, so I’m not sure what went wrong.
@@ArmaArmadillo I wouldn’t call it a fix, but what I did was take it off and repeat the steps over and over until it felt right. It took me 4 times to feel comfortable enough to leave it as is.

Congrats bro you’ll love it!

Plenty more you can do: exhaust, intakes, tuning, suspension, grip, lots of things to chose from
You gotta change your sprocket and get a performance exhaust and you get a nice little increase in power and speed.
Awesome vid man thanks heaps! Quick question is it normal for the r6 throttle to be a little loose in the horizontal direction?? Still works 100% fine just moves around a tiny bit
A tiny bit yes
You can tighten it up can't yo?
Ok I'll take it back. I fixed it. Shhheeeeeeeeesh
Did it come with its own grip as well? So now you are handlebar grips don't match, unless you replace both? I just ordered mine, can't wait for that shorter pull!
It comes with a grip it looks exactly the same as the other one no need to worry about mix matching

One of the cables must be caught it should not be getting stuck

Super cheap fun and easy mod! I love it so much. I hope you enjoy it as much as me
Yeah, I was reading something about needing a cable tensioner to make sure the cables are properly adjusted.
dude forget about stupid revzilla they always have 400% more than what you get on amazon. revzilla is a ripoff

I did not, make sure your throttle cable isn’t twisted or too tight in there it’s probably getting caught on something
Ok I lied and im baffled. When I have the bike on it feels normal but when the bike is off it takes forrever for the tube to return to zero. I'm lost. Might put the old one back on.
I want to do this on my 22 mt-07 but I’ve that there’s a bunch of cable adjustments you’d have to do. 😤
really? i just bought this and i’m in a yahama 03 group and they say it wasn’t much? if it it’s a lot i’ll let you know mine comes in tomorrow
Maybe install a quick shifter
Hi how age is this throttle (R6)? Thanks a lot. Nice video
So it's like a quick throttle?
Yes
I just ordered mine, is there any negative at all with changing the throttle throw? Will it still perform the same top speed and everything at full throttle/twist? Please let me know if anyone has found any negative results or issues. Thanks 😊
Still performs the same at top end. The twist is just shorter so you get a quicker throttle resposne
@@thesuburbanGenny Thanks for the info. It was delivered today 😊. Can’t wait to try it out.

@@superstarsfastcars Adjust clutch in what way?
Whats the rpm like when you dont twist the throttle, same as before or is the r6 mod pulling on the throttle cables?
Same as before it’s just a shorter pull for wot
Hello! Can you send me the link where you purchase the item? Please
It's in the description of video
may i ask what is the model of throttle tube that u bought?
Yamaha oem it’s the R6 oem throttle tube
What year r6 should i order the throttle tube?
I have the link in the biow
I keep getting cable binding whenever I put that last little plastic cover plate back on. Anyone know how to fix this?
I don’t run into this issue I’d just keep messing around with it till it sits in there properly there’s only one way for it to all go in

Check the throttle cable and make sure it’s not getting stuck anywhere. If it’s not put back in the plastic housing correctly it’ll get stuck
@@thesuburbanGenny Thank you, I did exactly that haha I was worried I might need grease and didn’t have anything that I could use for that.

What's the issue with down shifting bro?
Nothing lol it’s just different from before since the throttle pull is less than before so you gotta get used to the difference when down shifting
What mirrors do you have on the bike?
Oem
