Terra 4k & Mavo LF has dual native ISO but they didn't include it in Mavo. With dual ISO Mavo would be good contender under 10k camera range, but unfortunately....
To my eye, the Terra 4K looks better than the Mavo, even thought the Mavo has higher resolution and a larger senser. The colours and gamma roll off looks superior with the Terra 4K, and the overall image is more cinematic looking.
Nice comparison. From my own experience, I think it comes down to types of usage between these two cameras. The Terra is wonderful as an all-rounder for high quality online content and short films, but the Mavo seems like it would be better suited for higher-end commercial shoots and short films.
I appreciate the footage - Mavo's color science is definitely intriguing. It looks pretty great. But I wish you would've used some different lenses - every Canon lens we tested (which is most of the higher end ones - about 20-30 in all) is soft, low contrast and with a green shift. Putting Canon's CN-E 30-105 vs Zeiss' 70-200 (we happened to have both on hand at the same time) the difference was INSANE - the Zeiss was about 4x sharper and had more depth,contrast and better bokeh. Nikons also tend to be in a league over Canon (esp. in sharpness), and for Cooke S4 look-alikes look to Minolta's Rokkor series. I'd love to see all kinds of non-slo mo footage with an array of lenses.
I'm surprised of the low quality of the football sequence at the end.. what happen ? which lens where used ? My fs7 or even 5dmkii magiclantern in 1080p look better...
1:45 - The subjects looked blurry or out of focus in the 100fps test. Is this indicative of the overall sharpness using this mode or was your lens out of focus?
Hmmm ... I have a Mavo LF on preorder.... but these Mavo Slow Motion sequences look terrible (6:50...). Soft and washed out. While EVA1 has it's own problems (aliasing artefacts), the 240fps from it beat this hands down. th-cam.com/video/WTJyzYSxrBI/w-d-xo.html
you can get a lower min. ISO. For example at the highest ISO Highlight stop 6.6 (in MAVO) the lowest ISO you can choose is 2000. You will get more noise than with ISO 800. So if you don't need all that much details in the highlights you will choose a lower ISO highlight value to be able to select a lower ISO.
This looks great! I really want my next camera to be able to do anamorphic (in love with the look). Right now in my budget there is only the URSA mini Pro, but it only does 3K. The Mavo can shoot 4K anamorphic. Will have to wait for the next version of the Mini Pro (hopefully in 2019) to compare it with the Mavo and choose the right camera! Thanks for the footage!
Great video! Did you use the KineEnhancer on the 4K camera? Do you know if it degrades the quality of the image, sharpness, etc? I’m considering the 4K but I’m afraid of such a heavy m43 crop.

I feel like the MAVO looked a lot sharper, but it defiantly is very close. great video.

Mavo is my choice- a sharper, clearer image when all is said and done.
I want to use canon 600mm is ii f4 lens on terra 4k can i change aperture like f4 to f5.6 or f9 or f11

both have low rolling shutter effect, but the Terra4K has less than the MAVO.
