When your done with all of the comparisons can you make a video of image quality of all 3 cameras side by side???? Because I’m wondering if I should just go with the terra 4k since it has dual iso also if I wanted 6k I could just upscale it in post just how the arri does with the arri mini.... And always great review....

Kinefinity video image quality seems flawless. PRO AV I'm considering a Sony Venice or alexa mini, how does the skin tones, color science, and overall sensor quality and performance stack up to industry giants like Sony and Arri?
This is sooo much cheaper, I just want to know if it has hardware quality control issues like RED cameras. Side note i will be doing short films and full production.

@@jupitereye4322 very good. Yeah, sounds about right in terms of support and highlights. Arri image quality is the best I've seen. I live in Los Angeles and I've never heard of this company till I watched these videos on PROAV. I have my mind firmly on alexa mini to buy this year, but now that Sony just dropped the Venice for around the same price point I'm thinking a large format option sounds good. So when I saw this Mavo LF at that price, with dual ISO and 6k 75fps, I thought I just found greatness.

How does the ISO compare on this camera to the Kinefinity 4K? Just curious as I noticed this camera doesn't have dual native ISO like it's older/younger brothers. Cheers!
One thing, mavo being the higher end product, it has both ei and iso exposure modes. Terra 4k on the other hand only does iso.

What about ND when working with the Fujinon MK lenses? You're shooting exteriors but I can't see any ND solution in place.

if my film project includes a micro 4/3 sensor (Panasonic GH5 using spherical and anamorphic lenses), would the Mavo be more compatible with it (with respect to adding footage from the Mavo to existing GH5 footage upon editing in Adobe Premier)? Or will I have more of an advantage with the Mavo LF ? Also, I plan to include scenes using Anamorphic Lenses on the Mavo also.... why 2 cameras ? I've got existing footage with my GH5 that I want to include and I also like the Panasonic look... finally. I want the entire project to have the letterbox / widescreen format and it's already been a compromise using both Spherical to Anamorphic... . in any case, your presentation was very informative, thanks

We have a little bit of MAVO LF + Atlas Orion lenses in the upcoming MAVO LF video. But unfortunately we didn't get time to shoot anything with them on the MAVO. It is a perfect pairing though! Hopefully we will soon

Possible at all to shoot with autofocus or autoexposure with any of the Kinefinity cameras? Love their offerings but need at least basic auto functions for more run-and-gun style work.
No, they are completely manual cameras.

Is the color Science of Mavo 6k and Mavo LF the same? Lets say compare ISO 1600 and 3200 for both camera. Can I use s35 for cam B?
Different sensors but similar colour rendition. I would say that would be fine to match them as A cam B cam.

Anyone know if they make an adaptor for using B4 mount ENG lenses ?
Is there a kinifinity LOG to REC709 LUT that you used to get those colours? Lovely footages!
Mainly done with the Arri LUT built into resolve and a few contrast tweaks. They do have their own LUT as well, which is very similar but a bit more saturated than the Arri one.

does this company have warranties? How hard is it to get the support from them if I am here living in the USA?
Here in the UK, we give our customers 3 years of warranty. One year parts and labour, then a further two years of covering labour costs.
If you're in the USA, I recommend waiting for Kinefinity to open their US office which should happen this year.

How is the customer service of kinefinity themselves? What happens if something is damaged and needs a repair?
It depends where you are in the world. For our customers we offer 3 years of warranty cover and do all the repairs in house unless its an issue with the sensor block itself pretty much. So its very quick and easy for our customers, thats hugely important to us.
For elsewhere in the world it depends on your local dealer's support and cover, and if theres no local dealer you would deal directly with Kinefinity themselves.

where's the TERRA 6K????
I have clients who ask for HD deliverables for some of the work I shoot. Any idea if Kinefinity will roll out full sensor captures downsampled to HD off their line of cameras. Similar to what UMP does. Wonder if an external recorder would do it if you take the 6k signal and record to 1080 ProRes. Thoughts? Ty!
Even with my TERRA6K (it could shoot in HD) I explained to my clients that shooting in 3K would deliver crisper images and more reframing flexibility in post with only a bit more data to store. Which really is an advantage. I never had a complaining or disappointed client.
@@michaelwysmans totally. Just wondering if they'll have an HD version that isn't cropped and uses the full sensor width with just downsampled image.

@@adamwerton Like the commenters above have said, you can downsample down to 2K or 1080p using the full width of the sensor for exactly that purpose! Works very well

Decent, certainly far better than Kinefinity's previous cameras like the Terra 6K

The biggest drawback of this camera is not having dual native ISO.
It's still not bad in low light, about as good as most other super35mm cameras. It's just that the Terra 4K and Mavo LF with their dual native ISO's are very good in low light

Seems over saturated
Built quality doesn't seem great. Looks like cheap plastic. Not super impressed with the image, but i'm looking at a YT video. Not sure if this is the "RED killer" people keep boosting on the webs.
However, competition and choices is very good for consumers! Love it!
The body itself doesn't feel plasticky at all. Build quality overall isn't up there with RED or Arri of course, it couldn't possibly be for the price-point of these cameras.
I think your issues with the image are more down to who is using it than the camera. We are so used to RED and Arri footage from the best people in the industry, and this was all shot by me.... I would love to see what some high end DoP's could achieve with these cameras.
At the end of the day though, as you say, choice and competition is always a good thing for end users.
