Someone else has finally realized the beauty of the bodeo, even if its only A teir. Still my favorite revolver
As I like to say, the Bodeo bodes well, especially when I get tired of the mars automatic 😂
Holy crap it’s der rote kampfflieger
Its my favorite Scout sidearm, I main it actually when I am a scout, I try to patrol and keep flares popped.
What about the nagant revolver
My personal favorite sidearm is the nagant revolver, because of the quick reload where they remove the entire cylinder. It is so cool and unique.
That’s totally valid!
The C96 is interesting in that it works in game exactly the same way that it does in real life. Not mechanically, but in the way that people perceive it. People see a C96 and think "Oh wow, I can't wait to check that out!" And then they shoot it and all of that interest melts away.
Insightful
Despite many being reskins or having weird damage models, I still love the quantity approach BF1 took to its sidearms, especially when there's so much quality to seeing all the weird late 19th/early 20th century sidearms coming to life and doing their thing: The Nagant's sweet reloads which you mentioned previously, both on the alternating individual and the removal of the whole cylinder, the Kolibri not only existing but having the greatest 3rd person prone animation to boot, the Mars Automatic having the piggish recoil it was described as having in navy tests as it's overcomplex mechanism cycles, the C-93 being so commanding and back heavy as its doorknob looking toggle flicks or just this game introducing me to my favorite gun to the point it made me want to work towards animating it (badly) myself: The former Austrian bricky 9mm; the bullet-spewing Steyr-Hahn M1912 (my beloved).
Even just the little spinny that happens a good chunk of times I whip the Howdah out for a spin before smattering someone with enough bullets to put down a grown buffalo.
And the Peacekeeper is the embodiment of "bones spinning sticks of steel are sooo hardcore." (Alas, I was mad enough to get the Black Bess Landship skin, but not the Colt).
Waffling aside, I can't wait for your primary rankings. And just on the subject, are you planning to rank each weapon on their own, or pitting their variants against each other? Or doing some comprise like ranking the M1903 Springfield/MP-18 Experimental and the slug shotguns separately as their own things versus the originals?
Regardless, another banger of a video.
Not to spoil too much, but for the sake of time and because even extreme variants share most of the same stats, for the most part I'll be ranking all variants together, better or more meaningfully diverse variants will contribute to an increased score. The only exceptions will be a certain Medic weapon which has it's own icon, and mayyybe a specific Scout weapon that reworks the weapon in a similarly drastic fashion.
@@professormemsclass fedorov degtyarev…?
@@xxfrog_bombardmentxx2133 oh boy I wish, but I’m not even sure how I’m supposed to get my hands on it. I’ll bring it up, I wish I had it, but it’s not the gun I was talking about here.
real life nagant revolver also is slow to fire because of how it work - if you does not cock it manually, your trigger have to push the cylinder forward to form a gas seal, it is HEAVY
The GOAT of weapon ranking is back LET'S GOOOOOOO
1911 not top tier. lmao
Me squinting at the Fosbury's rotation when zoomed in due to the most opulent gold skin. Frfr I love the list glad you're back.
Haha yeah, not gonna lie the skin is a bit much, and thanks by the way.
I'm glad you're a man of culture and gave the Gasser its proper ranking. It's a chad's pistol. I remember pulling it out in open sections, specifically one time on Empire's Edge, just headshotting and pistol sniping guys out past my effective SMG range. Use it right and it's a second primary. Absolute S tier and my favorite for sure
Totally agree
@@professormemsclassthere’s one of those bf1 no HUD movies where a solider executes another with a gassier and fans the hammer so it defo exists
@@TheSuperSpud I was trying so hard to find an example, cause I swear I had seen it before, then even resorted to trying to figure it out myself with a friend so I could demonstrate it, but it just never materialized, hence why I said what I did in the video, the fanning animation seems like an old oft-repeated legend.
@@professormemsclass idk what’s up with it cuz I know it’s existed at some point
Peacekeeper owner here: it’s the GOAT, hands down.
If not by performance, then the looks and animations certainly make up for that alone. 😎
**American Venom intensifies**
fuck off elitist Gasser is the Big Iron of the people
Something forgotten about the nagant revolver, its empty reload is much faster than its tactical reload, you replace the cylinder
I think the Frommer Stop is S tier when paired with the Martini Henry. The MH does 90 body damage under 20 meters which means you only need one shot to finish them off. This makes the fastest drawing sidearm the best. Bonus points for the Frommer's high rate of fire.
The Lugar is my personal favourite. The style cannot be matched. Sometimes it's not about the gameplay effectiveness, its about the pure style of using it.
I can dig that
More BF firearms ranking. Yeaaaaaah
Glad to have this video on my Recommended, I love Battlefield 1 with a passion. M1911 is my personal favorite gun of all time, in games and in real life, but the all other pistols in the game are so fun to use, half of them I need to unlock so I can't wait to get my hands on them!
Been a huge fan of your BF tier lists, so good to see you finally get into my favorite one with BF 1! It was only a year ago now I finally decided to take on the Peacekeeper puzzle, a monument to how much I simply love this game. It was very rewarding after 3 straight days of work, I even recorded the whole thing. An incredibly fun gun for sure.
My absolute favorite series on youtube. Please, please, please keep doing these lists.
You've got it!
I’m grateful that you included the peacekeeper, a few similar vids I’ve seen didn’t even mention it. Had a blast doing the puzzles and trials to acquire the weapon and have been having even more blasts using it. A reliable sidearm capable of sniping and clearing rooms with ease and something that I never get tired of using.
I love the mark IV so much. I have so much practice with every bit about it that I am really good at landing shots
the no.3 has amazing hip fire accuracy, and the fast deploy time and fast repeating shots make it an amazing close range weapon, not S tier but at least a B
Phenomenal video enjoyed it greatly especially the minutia, I feel like I understand separation between the class exclusives more, and the overall dynamic they were going for when they carefully placed all the weapons in the categories in which they belong. Thank you for the video keep up the good work.
I loved your BfV videos, but I just don't love BFV try as I might. Bf1 is my fave battlefield, thanks for covering it! Hoping for future videos on it, take your time though.
And yes, peacekeeper is the best despite its draw time taking a century.
As a fellow medic bolt action enjoyer in bfv, can't wait to hear your thoughts on the general liu!
It's a big compliment to hear that my videos are enjoyable even if you don't play the game, and I think you'll like what I have to say about the General Liu ;P
Always hyped for your uploads!!
COMEON HES BACK
yoooo thank you , most videos about bf1 are really old , its really cool to see videos about it that are new , you earned my subscribe!
Thanks!
Yo I just binged all your weapon ranking videos earlier today and loved them it’s crazy you drop another the day I find you - killer stuff you’re hands down one of the best battlefield content creators I’ve seen :)
Thank you very much!
Hell nah he used tf2 AND MGR music??? Professor Mem is goated
YEEEEEESSSSSS This game will never die, love your videos, glad to see bf1 is happening now.
My personal favourite is the c93. I don't really find the toggle action distracting and I just see it as just a mle 1903 with a bigger magazine capacity and much faster reload. I like it more than the 1911 as i value fire rate and longer range over damage per shot.
Valid, same reason I prefer the Mle 1903 slightly over the M1911, but indeed with that slower reload which I will admit, is hard to ignore.
I just came across this video and loved it, went back to watch all your others too- and I don’t even like BFV much. I like your content a lot, especially given that you seem to have a real appreciation for the mechanical appeal and flair of these guns. Would love to see more!
So glad to hear it!
Nice video! Will be waiting for other weapon classes
Oh man I’m looking forward to you doing lots of BF1 videos. Fingers crossed
Hell yeah, been waiting for this
Your content is so chill, I watch it on repeat sometimes
I appreciate it!
My list ain't that different, just would put the C96 in C tier.
Also good to see someone that actually knows what he's talking about when doing a tier list like this.
Keep doing good man.
They’re all my babies. Every single one of them 🩷
HE HAS RETURNED! Blessed be us!
You now you can have an unique draw animation with the howdah ? It's rly cool.
More tier lists needed for BF1 needed 👍
Posted 17 minutes ago and 20 like bro fell off
So real
Pistol gameplay in bf1 is beyond fantastic
battlefield 1 analysis in 2024, count me in bebe
Hated how crap sidearms felt in BFV after how usable and fun they were in 1. Hard to see V as anything but a downgrade in every category. I guess building things was sometimes cool?
You earned a like with the Obrez S tier. god bless you sir
Surprised to see more recent tier lists about BF1, also good to see the Bodeo getting a bit of recognition as a fellow leg of lamb enjoyer. I usually play scout more aggressively with either the 1895 Trench or 1903 Experimental (or just about any other bolt action if I'm feeling it) and I prefer the Bodeo over the Mars. The high damage it offers at range close to mid range pairs well with a bolt gun, and also helps getting enemies to the health threshold required for a take down with a heavy melee weapon.
2:46 that transition was smooooth
I started bf1 with the sole intent of getting the peacekeeper; I was not disappointed
+10 for using the mgs3 radio music
congrats on 5k subs man, you deserve it
Thanks man!
My favorites are the Mauser C96 (not because it’s good. Just because it’s my favorite gun irl) and the Howdah. Again, not because it’s good. But because I just think it’s a cool unique little pocket shotgun. Fantastic video! Been binge watching your tier lists
Valid choices, and I’m glad to hear you like the content!
Dude your background music is fire! Ra-Ra-Rasputin! 😂
Haha thanks!
Ive taken many ottoman lives with the mle 1903 i absolutely love it
Opening a Battlefield 1 video with Red Dead 2 music?
Ken Jeong in Mexican regalia: "I'll allow it."
Man, I've had a few chances to net a running Bodeo 1889, but I just couldn't pull the trigger. Definitely a cool wheel gun
Haven't even watched the video yet and I know there'll be some hot takes... 😂 all in good fun though, I live for these vids!
Damn right the Peacekeeper is so good it’s off the list. Best 12 hours I have ever spent.
Good video, interesting way of rating
The a conflict dog tag required for the peacekeeper is a pain in the backside to get
He’s back boys!
The Professor is back in class!
The peacekeeper was so far and above the best pistol in the game, that if it WASN’T such a bitch to get, people would have complained that it’s OP. The animations alone made it worth the pain in the ass to unlock. But the power… man, it actually walks the walk too.
the legend posted again
As a proud PK owner, the grind is surprisingly pretty easy if you have a weekend avaliable
Let's go goat is back
One thing I always give BF 1's sidearms,is that they are (most of them) viable, even if some overshadow others, like the Mars automatic basically being a desert eagle makes the sniper unique revolver kinda redudant.
With that said, Nagant/Steyrhand/Auto Revolver/Obrez pistol my beloved it. Never bother to get the peacekeeper
I'll never forgive dice for locking the best revolver in the game behind a fucking phantom operation 2.0
Last time someone ranked stuff in BF1 they ended up having to rank doors. What’s your door rankings???
O_O when I'm in a not moving on competition and my opponent is the BF1 community.
To be honest though I kinda love that Battlefield 1 is so beloved that people would rather go that deep than switch to making different content.
OHW HE IS BACKK
Prof. Mem: [makes BF1 content]
Sickos: YES... HAHAHA YES...
For the record, I hate how low the C93 is on this tier list. Its draw speed and animation are both really quick, and bc it has low horizontal recoil, its hipfire just feels right. The extra bullet comes up big in CQB firefights where you switch to sidearm to finish multiple opponents. I also feel the Mle. 1903 is underrated, but to me the C93 is a hidden gem. Plus, it's the Borchardt! Nothing like winning a tight gunfight with your pistol and then telling your opponent you 'chardted on em
The sidearms of BF1 are undoubtedly the most effective of the entire series, and I reckon it's because the game environment frequently emphasises close combat with its tight trench networks and bunkers, while only one class has primaries that are outright superior in a CQC environment. Medics work at mid-range, Supports have big clunky machine guns that are better used from a stable position, and Scouts shouldn't even _be_ that close. This makes them all vulnerable to getting up in their face. You get more _chances_ to use pistols and melee, without getting shot to pieces by some jackass with an assault rifle a hundred metres away.
My favourite is the Webley MkVI, of course. It served me _fantastically_ well during my time in the game.
I suspect that the Mars Pistol is limited to Scouts precisely because it's so powerful. It compensates for their general weakness at close-mid range.
16:23
My thoughts exactly. I use guns in Battlefield based on whether they're _interesting,_ rather than just effective. Everyone's running around chasing metas, and then there's me trying to find the jankiest prototype available.
Small detail, but I prefer the MLE 1903 because of its handling, it actually has the fastest swaptimes for a sidearm, along with its reasonable damage, recoil and range, its the best IMO for being a side arm, a swap when you're in trouble! :D
Opening with the RDR2 soundtrack you immediately got a like lmfao
You legend, Meem! I’m interested to see what your opinion is on the Perino
16:42 the game gives you the best skin for it by playing part of the campaign
I always loved the Obrez. Such a great gun
Yes BF 1! love to see it
I mained the C96 since im a fan of the design and ttried my hand at a pistol only loadout for the medic that pushed to take risks with both reviving other teammates, as well utilize the pistols decent hipfire accuracy, got over 615 kills with it since launch
Is the peacekeeper the only revolver to have the character correctly index the cylinder in animation so he actually gets to the used rounds?
Mmhm, the only one in this game. The rest just open the gate and start ejecting.
Silenced weapons in bf1 have the same functionality as in bfV, although there are even fewer silenced weapons in bf1 than in bfV so I don’t blame you for not noticing.
About 4 years ago me and some friends said “screw it let’s unlock the peacekeeper”. It took me at least 6-7 hours, pulled an all nighter to unlock it
One of the best things to do with the Kolibri is use it to detonate explosives. I’ve killed a tank with one that way.
Ah right! Good strategy
Ahhh I was hoping you had videos for all the battlefield 1 guns like you do for BFV
Not yet, but I'm working on them
The Auto Revolver is definitely my favorite out of all of the sidearms, but I must admit it certainly is very basic and plain like sprouts said.
Understandable
not me unlocking the peacekeeper, while i was unemployed. I feel exposesd
You forget about THE most important thing in bf1
Historical Accuracy
( Also enjoyed your palworld and dynamic reloads videos, i hope you do more videos like that )
I plan to do many more in the future
@@professormemsclass holy shit the man him self responded
I am glad the Obrez is a tier because even if you don't kill them instantly in closer ranges you will instantly be able to kill them with melee
I kinda wish they made the nagant revolver a double action in game like it is in real life, allowing them to buff the fire rate a bit. That combined with the more consistent ranged performance could potentially see it fill the role of the all around back up if you can control the recoil.
Ah maybe yeah, to be honest I've been using it with Medic lately since it and most medic primaries are 3 shots to kill, so sometimes in close range I use it when I need to get that one last third of their health. Of course, hiprifing only, still can't use those dang sights haha
If only the peacekeeper wasn't such a pain to acquire
For the Oberez if you shoot and melee at the same time you’ll insta kill anyone. Makes up for the inconsistent one shot
Jail for putting the auto revolver in the b tier it is by far the best revolver in my opinion, looks gorgeous especially with the ivory skin, quick reload, better damage and fire rate than any speed loader revolver. This thing on arden forest absolutely pimps i had so much fun using this with minimal reload suffering
The difference between 30 damage and 26.5 for the Mle. 1903 vs. the C93 is that BF1 uses 1.7x for the standard headshot multiplier. 30 will give a kill in two sequential headshots, 28 will give a 3 shot kill if one is a headshot, and 26.5 will only give one less bullet to kill if two are headshots.
Thought you should know.
Ahhhhhhh I see I see, I didn't look into exact damage multiplier numbers too much so this is valuable.
i love using gasser m1870 with the mp18 trench or hellriegel, the high range and stopping power makes up for a relatively short range smg playstyle well and can finish enemies well if i get caught in a pinch
Honestly, getting the peacekeeper isn't as insane as I thought it was, just longwinded. There is like 8 parts to it and each one is fairly straight forward, there is only one part (a conflict) that can seem like a wall, still doable with a friend an excel-sheets.
Also the gun is absolutely worth it and outclasses most other handguns in most cases.
2:46 that was a cool transition from the gas mask
Thanks!
I personally think they should have released the colt single action army without the skin for everyone to use, and the skin could be a memento of those all those crazy dudes who actually got it when it first dropped
Would be nice, but I bet all the people who unlocked it the hard way would be fuming haha
For me Mark VI always was a pick for 3 out of 4 classes due to combination of good DMG and 2-shot capability at close and fast top-break revolver reload. I've been saved countless times by speed of reloading and Auto revolver is Medic's upgrade of Mark VI so I use it for Med. In terms of pure numbers of damage and stuff maybe it's not that good but its versatility in sticky situations up close won me over other options.
That’s reasonable
FINALLY BODEO LOVE, I FORGIVE YOU FOR MARK IV HATE
Man the 1911 being in B tier is not right. That bad boy should be S tier. Memes aside the 1911 is a true handcannon. There are times where ive used it successfully at close range better than shotguns. Consistent 3 shot kill(should be 2 but balancing and what not) and fast reload speed. 1911 is always my reliable handgun in BF1
Also great music in this video. Never thought of mixing MGRR or BO1 in BF1
I am profoundly disappointed in the fact that this man dosint have more subs, he needs more love
Aw thanks!
2:03 Just a quick little heads-up to all those stealth enjoyers who play BF1; the Silenced M1911 (And to a lesser extent Enfield IIRC) actually don't show the victim where they are being shot from and in addition you don't appear on the minimap
Oh! I didn't know that! I knew it was a feature in Battlefield V, but I had thought it wasn't a feature in the series until that game.
When I was going for a service on every weapon, the nagant revolver was by far the most frustrating weapon. Kolibri wasn't that bad because I expected it to suck and never relied on it, but the nagant was so unreliable when I needed a backup weapon
That's more or less the experience I'd had as well just trying to use it in normal gameplay.
