There's much more to this intallation story. 1) I've used a non-Ford replacement actuator and they will fail in a year or two. 2) Getting the gear in place is half the issue. You have to get the actuator gear in the exact right setting to get the actuator to fit into the gear assembly. This requires plugging the actuator power plug in, running the heat just enough to move the gear, then move the assembly gears to line up to the actuator. You do this by sight and it will take some time. Also the top 20 torx screw is pain to remove and install.

Is there any place to find that gear piece at 2:11?

I'm not sure about a place online. If it were me I'd try to see if your local Ford dealer can get it. A salvage yard would be a good place to check too. Many salvage yards sell on places like eBay. I'm sure you can find it, might just have to hunt a little bit

Do you mean it is still getting power when you are trying to re install it? Unplug it and certainly have the car off when you are re installing it. Only after you've got all the parts back together should you plug it in again and power the system.
