I pulled this part out of my kia forte, and opened it up but everything looked intact and working, but when it was installed, it made a horrible clicking noise? Im replacing it but it did not look broken?

guessing your blend door motor gear is stripped

Such a cheap move to make them plastic gears.
Especially something that is unreachable in some cars without removing the dash.

They have to reduce weight to make the Federal mileage requirements. Also, they love selling you a new car when the old one is too expensive to fix.

Its in the car under the dash but impossible to see or replace without dismantling the car(lol)
