The actuator blender isn’t the issue! I thought it was too and went out and purchased a new one. I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me to test the “bad one”. But I tested it after purchasing a new one. And turns out the “bad one” still worked perfectly fine. The issue is the two screws holding the actuator overtime loosen up! Which cause’s the actuator to move up, then causing the gears to pop out of place. To fix it, remove actuator, align gears again and pop it back in and tighten the screws good. Did the exact same method on my 15 mustang and heater was working fine now!
So what do u recommend just take the oem one off check the insides gears and stuff first put it back together try it then if still no fix buy the new one?
Can you provide the part number listed on Rock Auto? Went to auto zone and the part they gave didn’t fit. Also, how did you get under there to get it off. Im a tall guy and i find it very cramped and have to contort myself invertedly just get to a position to try and unscrew it.
Loved to know why the contacts run off the board had two on in under a year gone again 😢🤷♂️ford replaced them all am in uk 🇬🇧 so it’s my drivers side it seem always that side
Thanks for covering this repair! Having the same issue on my 2015 and will be replacing it tomorrow.

Interesting, well done.
I did this and still cannot for the life of me get my passenger side heat to work again.
Strange. I don't really have an answer for you. Might need to do a dealer visit.@@Goingsavage97

Probably a good idea. They do come apart, just be gentle with the clips on the sides, they break easy.
Very helpful, thank you!!
Glad I could help!
Great tip! Easy!🎉🎉

It’s not easy to get in there. I will see if I can find the part number.

Not sure, I would go to Ford.
Did it last long Ford changed 3 gone again not lasting a year 😤
Still working. Mind you car is stored for winter, so not used daily.
Ok cheers. I must be unlucky then. Some have only lasted a few hours!
