I like the song "Sexy And I Know It" by LMFAO so I decided to produce the track with BeatPad on my iPad. Go to the AppStore to download BeatPad onto your iPhone and iPad.
Well that was a waste of time
why? it is good
haha yeah xD
sounds nothing like the original wtf
This is just the beats
***** Are you talking to me?
***** I was not even replying your comment.
makin a beat is all about the fx automations synth quality etc, its damn low and foggy nothing like the real track, try dancing this shit in proper speakers, your head will hurt n shit, knamsayin
True, but remember it's an iPad app version from 2011. The app had been updated since. Now you can easily export your beats to use in a synth app. The professional producers I know that use BeatPad just make a beat with it then send it to Logic Pro. It's a simple way to make fast pro beats. I assume LMFAO used a little more than an iPad to do what that did :)
"lets pull the drums down so I can hear the metronom"
nuff said.
The only thing I did whilst watching the video was concentrate on how many fingerprints he was making..
you sir, you are a god.
Me alegro de que estés feliz! Estamos trabajando en muchas actualizaciones AHORA!
For Android???

Far away from english...sorry

Thanks for the video!
there is no android drum pad that can be similar to beatpad
i think the best way to make beat it on a pad
thanks
We had BeatPad on android but we had to pull it due to so many issues.
Ok thks, i know it harder to make Android apps
I Will have to buy an iPad loll
Your hand i so shaking :D And u have dirty fingers :D
I was a newbie. Now I know not to play with butter before these videos
xmeapps Lmaooo, your replies are soooo calm!!! I like you man.
See, that's the beauty of music. You can make it sound like whatever you want it to be.
The beginning was the best when he turned around in his chair like a boss
Sounds really good, congrats man!
Pretty cool... Very in depth
What about quantization?
The app has been updated a lot since this video. It has quantize, hundreds of kits available, custom kit creation, multitrack export to Pocket Studio (formerly Studio 2), mp3 export, etc.
Yo. Is this your design or?
I use DJ Studio 5, Walking Band & Perfect Piano on Android.
If you designed this app, Please make an Android port!
man...youre really great
Cool story bro..
Did it sound like nothing? It created a special atmosphere. So these two things are totally different. And why do I hear a lot more than just two notes (and multiple instruments), when I listen to it? One of us should visit a doctor, my friend. oO
I play piano, guitar, clarinet, sax and a little percussion first off. Second off, how is the difference between guitar and other instruments from using synths, drum machines and pads. They both have their difficulties and they both sound good to different people. The only reason why you are yelling about this is because you are trying to brag about how u can play a guitar or something. It's just like another instrument. The only difference is that it is electronic.
Sorry, but the app isnt free and it will cost you your life. Is it worth it?
I dunno, maybe so, sloppy joe, many moe,
But not Larry and curly, no not the 3 stooges,
I flirt witcha girl and take her to where my room is
We get it on, all night long, goin strong cuz it aint wrong
Betcha mad, bectha sad, wish you had, but fool go get gone.
Never stop playin. everybody sayin. come to my bedroom, but im not staying.
cuz your living room is better, i wanna wear your sweater.
I can't say it for sure, but I'm really convinced that you are kidding me. That sounds like no work at all. Or have you ever made a Jazz or Rock song with real instruments? If not, please let the real musicians talk.
@FRAMEDSKATEKREW69 Yes. You can import from email or safari or sample any song or video in your iTunes playlist on your device. Check out my video making Party Rock Anthem to see me use the sampler/custom kit feature.
nope, u also have to import synth, bass, pads, snares and symbols into the pad and then hit each when u want to activate. It takes skill to create the bass, synth, etc. Dubstep and other electronic music is more than just hitting a few buttons and becoming rich. I can guarantee this didn't only take 7 min.
It's built into the app. Use the link in the description to download the demo song. Download the song and open it into the BeatPad app on your iOS device and you will see all the instruments I used here.
When I walk on by, girls be looking like damn he fly
I pimp to the beat, walking down the street in my new lafreak, yeah
This is how I roll, animal print pants out control
It's Redfoo with the big ass 'fro
And like Bruce Leroy I got the glow, yo
(Ahhh) Girl look at that body
2million views!? did u people forget something called the subscribe button, damn.
I don't have them anymore actually. But if you pick up any of the new models you are in good shape. There is a subwoofer under the table that you can't see too which helps a LOT!
I wouldn't say that there is no such thing as talent. Most good singers are born with a naturally good singing voice. Even the most passionate "singer" born without a singing voice will not become a Sinatra just by trying their hardest.
No iPad isn't better. I put one iPad on the second and the "anti-scratch" glass failed. Also iOS is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo closed and soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not inteligent system.
Whenever i press record and have my metronome perfect and im all good, i play it back and it skips notes and stuff. It offheat and sunda terrible when i play back but when i record im fine and on beat. Help?
I just got respectfully owned lol. Thanks for the info, i didnt know it. It sounded pretty similar and it looked like lmfao just kinda revamped it for their own need. But i suppose thats pretty common these days in hip hop.
It's both funny and sad to see how many people don't get the point of satirical exaggeration, trying to defend that quantity music as a result.
It would sound a little better if you quantized it... The app doesnt have quantize? ... Please click reply instead of putting @... otherwise ill never see your answer
The song sections/hooks were duplicated to mute some tracks in some parts to add variety once the entire track was played start to finish.
@waldofuentealba You have to practice. And if your notes are off, go to the sequencer and double tap the note box to edit note placement.
The kits are embedded in the song file.. Once you download and import this song file the kits will be in your beatpad app forever...
The only two things with this are that the instrument of the intro is wrong, and that the original song is in all probability 128 BPM instead of 130 BPM.
Obviously it takes him 7 minutes since the song has been made so he knows what to do. Doesn't mean the people who made the song took 7 minutes?
really? what about metallica, acdc? lmfao is decent but its not like theyre the best 'musicians'? they probably dont even play a normal instrument
@koofdome Use the sequencer page and double tap the note box you want to change. Change your note placement from there.
@cobethientaidethuong Wow! Thank you. Have you seen my new video making Party Rock Anthem? It's much cooler. Check it out!
Hey sorry but your lighting looks interesting. Can you record a video about them? I think they are changable in colors and leds right?
6,416 wanna be musicians +1 (guy in video) - 1,287 Musicians
But it's already past the middle of 2012 and it feels like only a few months ago that everyone was singing that!
the beats are off... why use something like this when you have the likes of fruity loops which is simple to use??
very nice, but the rhythm is off. Insctructions were great for that or other device, thanks
The app does have quantize but the video was done over a year ago and has been greatly updated since. Try it
You should quantize the notes (does that app have that option), some are a bit off and make it sound pretty bad at times.
LMAO- laugh my ass out
LMFAO- laugh my fucking ass out xD
@Rahul Kateja tap the link to download the BeatPad session and tap it to import into BeatPad Full version.
how do i load a track on the beatpad? i went on soundkit, make a new sound kit. but i cant import the track there :S
@Orbitusx Exactly! BeatPad and other apps can be run on a phone. My iPhone is a mini production studio.
Cool Like It..Can you make Skrillex First Of The Year
So it takes about 7 minutes to produce something that sounds like nothing and sells like hotcakes.
i think on of the hardest things on makin songs, especially beats, with your hands, is to stay right with the click. i mean, perfectly right on the click. i don't know if you notice it when you listen to it, but it always sounds like a little faster and a little slower, kinda like you'd swim on the click. that's a thing about milliseconds but still..
if the app would correct this little problem itself, it would be perfect.
but anyway , good work man !
some people like to make beats and arnt god at it at first but wanna be good right so they puti n work and maybe one day theyll be as good as they want to be maybe not maybe they quit, then some people jsut try and cant do it at all, then theres people who wanna do the same, make something that soudns super good, and so they try it and the second they tried it they knew exactly what they were doing they, figured out what everything did and made something that actualy sounded super good, there for
having a natural talent for anything, which does exist, im not pointing at music to be clear...having a natural talent is being good at something without trying sort of speak, you were just always good at it, some people dont ntice their talents all their lives sometimes they find them right away, making music isnt all that easy, like think about how many musical nstruments there are, the guitar, who was naturally talented on guitar? lotso f people jimi hendrix being one, so what im saying is
I don't know. You have some really good points. But take soccer for instance. My friend has been playing soccer for 6 years. And he's pretty good. But then we have my other friend who never went to training for soccer. He' only plays a few times with us. If you see his ball control you'll be amazed. It's talent. Talent does exist. Maybe in some sections it doesn't. For instance in Music i'm pretty sure if you get a professional teacher. You'll be able to sing pretty good.
But talent does exist
skill. I'm not saying others can't achieve that same greatness through sheer effort, determination and practice. You're thinking of natural, like they were born with a finite skill from birth, as if people were born with guitars or paints while inside their mom. However, many others are just saying natural, because they never interacted with it, (as "if" they were born with that skill). Your opinion makes a good point, but some people are good without trying much. You could agree or disagree.
Look, yes I know what talent is. Its definition is a capacity for achievement. Some people are, according to definition "talented." They are really good at what they have. Natural talent is just because they have a stronger connection with what they are doing, whether singing, drawing, instruments, it doesn't matter. Some people start off stronger than others. They have never played or sung or drawn before and yet they show off a spark that shows they can achieve greatness at that particular ...
There is such a thing as "natural" talent. Maybe not the way that you define it, but to me it's when a person is skilled without much or any practice. A person could be barely joining a piano class and already be more advanced in it than other students, who have the same experience. I'm not saying at a professional level, although I'm not saying that some singers aren't gifted with a perfect voice, I say gifted as a person who has had not much practice (or lessons) and yet can sing real good.
You need to accept that people have differing opinions than yours, it's a part of life. Also, they aren't DJ's technically. A DJ plays someone else's music and presses start and stop and messes with EQ.
One thing I don't get is why you have to be so rude. I have only been polite in my responses, and you have been nothing but rude. I am done with you, I don't talk to rude people.
Have a great rest of your life.
Also, I'm actually not that big of a fan. I just like a couple of his songs. I much prefer deadmau5, Daft Punk, Kaskade, etc.
For Dubstep, I like Excision or stuff like that.
Skrillex is like a bastard child of all of that. He does a lot of dance beats like the house people, but he also has dubstep features.
I have read that he is more of "brostep". Also heard his style called complextro.
And no, neither of us could ever be a Mozart or an Einstein. We don't think in the right way. Many many people study the same subjects, but very very few instantly excel the way people like Mozart did. I'm sure with dedication and practice you could become decent at anything, but even then you'd only be average among others who also chose to dedicate time in that field.
And there's no need to call me stupid, or capitalize words. It just makes you look desperate at worst, and juvenile at best.
There are cases where a child can just pick up an instrument, hear what sounds good and begin playing. It's a very pure form of talent, and not very good for your case.
Mozart is particularly poor to mention since his father had been a dedicated musician for most of his life but gave up composing when he saw the raw talent in his son possessed. Mozart could learn to play songs his father took hours to in minutes. And he was COMPOSING at 5 (with far less education and practice than his father).
Talent it isn't needed to make good music. Music catches on in phases anyways, and now a days just needs to be catchy to be popular. Good music requires creativity and dedication, that's about it.
That said talent does exist. It's not the person who spends the most time at something that becomes the best at it. You have to spend time to be really good at something, sure, but lots of people put 1000s of hours into things. People have different strengths, affinities, and potential.
Sorry but that's NOT true... Talent is a spark, a natural ability or sense to do or learn things fast and take the rest of the time to put some "high quality" features on it... as a music professional and teacher i have seen thousands of students in different countries, a lot of them practice a lot, and are very dedicated... but most of them don't have that spark, they play correctly but nothing special... so you are dead wrong... and i know few that have it, they don't even need to practice!
this is engineering. and yes you need time and practice to become good at mixing, but.. any chance proving that skrillex mixes his tracks on his own? i don't think so. a whole bunch of sound engineers fighting some rich kid's lack of talent is what you most likely see at your next studio. what is left for skrillex is to look "kewl" and involve as much hipsters as possible. he's no musician but a project, just as justin bieber is.
Why something considered beautiful (I'm Not a LMFAO's Fan and I DON'T like the song, this is a general consideration) has always to be also difficoult? What's the matter if it takes 7 minutes or even less? "Il mio Canto Libero", a song of the most important italian songwriter, Lucio Battisti (I'm Italian Too) is composed only by 3 Guitar chords and is very beautiful even if is very simple! BE OPENMINDED, ALWAYS!!! (Sorry for my english, but, like I already said, i'm Italian :D)
I don't know, you tried, but this just doesn't imitate "Sexy and I Know It" very well. There are only 2 slow claps in the song, not 5 fast claps, and they're not heard as often as they are in your depiction of the song. Also, the high pitched "vwoop" sound you add in at about 4:55 is timed way off, painfully off. I can't believe you didn't hear it. You made an effort, but if you're going to title it "making Sexy and I Know It", imitate it correctly, man.
damn! who pays for all these equipment?? still sounds trash, but good work showing how to make it. its the last resort for who ever is paying for the equipment.. nice sounds though and the pads, but the whole beat is garbage, its good to dance to, but thats about it... most technos or club beat i hear are DAMN!!!! GOOD!! this is not even close.. but good lesson, thanks... helpful for people who knows what they are doing, rather than using a app cause you got a pad?? good work man.. i mean it.
@utubenutify The app used in this video to make music. Available for iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch
stupendo
Quite possibly, yes, but I don't think you have to be a complete genius to make music that sounds decent
im a Quadriplegic, i use a mouthstick, its like a long stylis could I one learn music with this or a similar app and two could i make my own music by only tapping on one button at a time then sync it all together, because my life is boring as all shit all I do is watch tv or youtube all day

Talent does exist because some people have a natural talent for certain things and your wrong because alot of people have a giant goal and work their ass off in say singing but still don't have the natural ability to be great. How do you know that there is no part of the body that determines talent, humans could have gained it over the years, and it's unidentified.
The synth sounds absolutely nothing like the original song, which has a more "twangy" "stringy" sound. It looked like there was a good selection of instruments when he switched to the high-synth, but if this is the closest sound to the original track, then there is vast room for improvement with instrumentation choices in the app.
your gonna have to be more specific when you say electronic music...pretty much anything using technology is electronic music, but yeah they are pop...and dance and hip hop and idk what else
and i wouldnt say theyre shitty, simple? yes. generic? probably, but some of their "softer" songs are decent enough to give them at least a bit of credit
That's kind of sad if you can recreate a song that simply. That's how you know it's not very good...
its the same exact thing for being naturally talented at anything except its for music, just cuz music wasnt here naturally doesnt mean you cant have a nutural talent in it, having a natural talent doesnt mean having a talent for something that was natural haha
It would need a special 30 pin adapter (Apple products) to USB or any other digital interface and then you would need an app that outputs in Midi keys most apps output sound however and also I'm not aware if that adapter exist but that's what you would need to make it work
Why would you want to make hardstyle come into the mainstream? Look what happened to dubstep.....
dude please help me.. I have a rap song I wrote the lyrics and created the piano music but I'm a beginner I really need a help because I don't have any drums and I don't know what should I do :(
please this means a lot to me can somebody please help me? :/
This is the same as someone strumming a few chords on a guitar and saying they wrote a song... It might be a song but it's a shitty and, and actual songs may only take a couple hours to create, but thinking it up is the hard part, just like with paintings.
@9Nick2 Read up means to do research on something. It is a phrase from the mid-west, where I'm from. Also, I am sure you do make better dubstep than Skrillex... especially when he technically doesn't make dubstep... nice try though.
No. Actually I don't have a rendition of this song. Also, if your trying to imply that I cannot make a better rendition don't bother explaining it. I know I can't, but that doesn't stop me for giving my opinion, and mostly everyone agrees that this is bad.
I Have a kit as well as a few (different) sets of MPC style pads. It must be said, developing my pad skills has helped my drumming. Also, there's a lot you can do with pads that you can't with drums (if you get creative).
This is a very hard concept for the simple minded and i see why you would have trouble understanding this. So next time you wanna insult some one, and say something that you obviously dont know about; think twice.
Read up on Skrillex and Deadmau5. They do all of the stuff themselves. Skrillex for example has been a computer nerd since he was young. They do all this stuff themselves. Also, lets see you make the music that he does.
that's pretty sad for him. also, he hit like 8 bars worth of kicks and hits, and it didn't occur to him that he only needed 4 bars. because then he could just use the pattern all the way up to the end or so.
It's hard to get right. Even with professional studio quality software and hardware. Not to mention he's using virtual sounds - not natural sounding instruments with human flaws that make them sound just perfect.
My hearing is fine, and so is the hearing of 68 other people who thumbs uped my comment. I think you need to see a doctor, or at least listen to the original song, because this is a poor rendition of the song.
@heroslyfe sorry to hear that. Please chat with us from the website to fix the issue.
I hate people like you, assuming that if someone says something about a black guy, it's automatically racist. No, but if you'd look at the iPad you'd see that the screen gets dirty when he uses it.
@Tuananhvuu Download the song file from the link in the description. It's all there.
It sounds so. I'm not trying to be hating, but maybe go to doctor to check if everything is all right with your ears?. If it's good the only one possibility left is that you're dull ...
4 beeing be the Nerd that u guys like: I have the same LED chenger... but 4 beeing the the guy u might like: I NED THIS SHIT ON ANDROID :D man there is no good way bc the port sucks -.-
It takes 7 minutes to recreate it, not nesessarily produce it. Producing a song takes a little, there's chord progressions, mixing, mastering, ect. that goes on in making a song.
