My family must be weird...and I’m grateful to them. New washcloth _and_ towel every day/every shower. We’ve always had a linens-only hamper too because of the volume but it’s normal to us.
Growing up and visiting friends was a shock though - seeing that they re-use towels and wash clothes.

Never in my life have I heard of washing a towel once a week. Use it and it goes straight into washing machine.

My family all swabbed our hands and then grew the bacteria in Petri dishes and mine barely grew but my brothers grew neon orange and blue bacteria. No idea what that means but in the end you will always have bacteria on you no matter how hard you try to get rid of it

I washed my towel’sss once a week but I change them every 2 days . I have 10 towels . Also use white towels so you can add Bleach to the washer . it will disinfect a lot of germs.
