Pick Up Limes cooking your recipes. Or recipes in general. Always afraid it would be inedible. I am a new subscriber and new to cooking. Tried out 3 pick up limes recipe. Ate them all. Were very good.
Grocery shopping is scary to me since I had to ask many of the grocers what many of the ingredients are. Lost 7 lbs from cooking for myself. Not intentional but feel better about making my own meals.

As a single dad to a fourteen year old daughter, I want to thank you for your videos. You are the strong and POSITIVE female roll model that she always needed in her life. And she absolutely adores you.
After years of emotional abuse from her mother, she is deeply wounded and sees you as a beacon of hope. I am here for her everyday with love, patience, and understanding. But you epitomize the woman she needed in her life rather than the one she had.
Again, thank you. You mean a lot to my little girl. And she means everything to me.

From one who doesn't have confidence
Confidence comes from being comfortable in your own skin. It comes when you 'can' smile like you do. Your smile comes from a place of self-acceptance, from a place of satisfaction of where you are right now, with the hope of where you'll be. Did you work for that smile? Or were you born with it? You smile with your eyes and I bet your heart too.
    ...
    Some tears later...
Confidence comes when you just be instead of trying to be.
Confidence comes when you accept yourself as you are.. as raw as you are.
Confidence comes when you realise that one person accepts, acknowledges and appreciates your being. It is heaven if that is person is yourself.
    ...
You're blessed more than you know
and I hope you remember that when you're feeling low.
    Lots of Love)
    To you and
    The one who reads it.

@@iwua37 I studied the most in my family. I am not a very smart student but when I try I do get by with hard work. I have a good job, and they do not as they just gave more importance to their looks. My confidence was low because I was not the best looking due to my dark colour and they did make it a point to tell me that I am the darkest which indirectly mean not beautiful.
Knowledge is power and I got above them and got my confidence by learning things. I would suggest do not be afraid of making mistakes and try to ignore them. Increase your knowledge because knowledge will build up your confidence. Also, I would suggest whenever possible go and volunteer. Volunteering taught me so much and also boasted my confidence. It is a win-win situation because you give and you get ten folds. Good Luck to you.

One thing that works well for me in building up confidence, is to revisit previous projects/work I've done. It is so easy for us to constantly raise the bar for what is the standard, that we overlook how much we have grown. Revisiting old work helps realise, that what we can do today, we may only have dreamed about one year ago.

I went through a period at work where I was in a new position at the same company and I was the newest one on the team. Everyone was super nice but I just felt like I'd never be as good as those people, and they all must do the job so easily and I was surely the only one that was struggling. For reference, I work in software deployment for a multinational software company. I work with 6 or 7 clients at a time to set up their software, understand their business needs, etc.
A few things that helped me to gain confidence:
    1. As Sadia said, just practice helped immensely. Finding answers on my own instead of running to a teammate first gave me a sense of accomplishment.
    2. Basically jumping off the deep end and realizing that hey, I'm likeable - my customers like me, and realizing they didn't expect me to have every answer to every off the wall question they had. Learning to be honest and say, "You know what? I'm not 100% sure, but let me research that and get back to you by tomorrow.
    3. Honestly, hearing from the more tenured members of the team that they get nervous too. Knowing that I wasn't alone in my pre-meeting jitters, and that they go through the same struggles, helped me.
    4. Finally, and probably the biggest one - soon, I wasn't the newest on the team anymore. And I was expected to help the newer team members. Helping to answer their questions and teaching them how to do things made me realize how much I DID know, taking away my usual focus on how much I still didn't know.
Not sure if this will help anyone, but I'm happy to say I'm totally over it and feel very confident at work now. 😊 Great video as always.

The people who surround you has a huge impact on your confidence. If your surrounded by people who u love, and the people who support u,your confidence level will be very high. If u r surrounded with people u hate , then.....u will hate your confidence level just as much.
I am 12 years old, I am in 7th grade. I am thankful I have the proper man’s wages like food cloths and shelter, but there is one I just can’t seem to be fixing.. *MY PARENTS* . yes I know what u r saying, “u should be happy with what u have”.”without your parents u r nothing” and things like this. And I completely agree, parents are one of the most precious gifts in the world. But when u have parents who put u down, irritates u,and cuts u away from the real world and tells you that studies is the only thing that matters and only that will make u succeed, then, coming back from school is a pain....
My parents keep comparing me to my friends,my big brother and they do other things that annoy me a lot. This is when I really don’t like them. I don’t know how to become a little kinder to them,I generally just don’t have confidence especially my exams. If I don’t do well in my exam,I will be wasting time, effort, and worst of all , my dads money. Nowerdays my dad is really running out of money because of my brother’s expensive university and my school plus other thing that will make a our expenses very high.to be honest ,lately I have been very mean to my parents like screaming at them, and getting irritated at them for no reason,I am SUDDENLY acting mean probably because I am switching over to a teen and I am going through harmonal changes. I really don’t know if studies is really the ONLY way to succeed,or if passion is the right way. My self confidence these days has gone very very low,I am shy to even talk to my own brother. I really don’t know what to do to be more kind and confident.😔

I'm also working on building confidence with my Dutch. My new goal is to not revert to English as soon as it gets tough.
I wish you all the best with your Dutch too 🤗😄

I can totally relate to it and attest the fact that "To increase your confidence, you need to improve your competence". I had been struggling in my early months of my first job and with time as I improved my competence, I felt confident with what I do.
    Beautifully said,
    Love ❤️🤗
