I didn't know much about Witcher until I started watching the show (I knew OF it which is why I decided to give it a go right when season 1 came out) and man, everything from Renfri's backstory, to the appearance and presence/aura the actress brought to her, I really loved the character along with the predicament Geralt was put in. I really thought she was going to play at least a somewhat larger role in the story and was very disappointed she was only in the very first episode before dying. That being said, I think that first episode is still my favorite out of all 3 seasons (minus part 2, which hasn't come out quite yet at the time of this comment). Brilliant episode, brilliant writing, brilliant acting and choreography.
My favorite character in the Book, so far ! I was a bit nervous about how she will be in the show, but even if she die after just one episod, I will never forget her. The only things wich wasn't perfect is his death, I found, which is much more emotional and sad in the Book. In the show, she said "The girl in the Wood, she will be with you Always, she's your Destiny" but in the Book, she just said " Don't leave me Geralt, I'm cold " and that's just perfect. This dialogue resume her life perfectly, and that's just unbelivable. A character which make me cry, because she's just perfect. PS : sorry for my Bad english, I'm just a thirteen years old french
I fell in love with this tune as soon as I heard it. It has such a beautiful blend of emotions. It starts seductive, goes on to sound mysterious and ends giving you this feeling that something epic's coming your way. Mashes everything about renfri in one theme. ❤
"When i was a girl, my mother used to run her fingers over my forehead. She'd say, she'd give a lovely lintar; to know the thoughts going around in there."
Renfri's theme is hands down a masterpiece and my favourite song from the soundtrack. Every single time I listen to it, it triggers this deep longing inside my chest and brings tears at the corners of my eyes. It speaks to me of broken dreams and all that could have been but never was. It is pure art!
Emma Appleton did a wonderful Job as Renfri. And this Theme does her so much Justice. There are definitely Toussaint Vibes and they are beautiful. Melancholic but still heroic. Va Fail Renfri
For the 1st, 3rd and 4th episode - yes. Renfri is super important character in these 3 episodes. For the whole show with all it's future seasons - no. Yennefer is more important.
Good, means they are accurate to the books. Yennefer at times is difficult to like but it what makes the character enjoyable to follow, one of the reasons.
I wish they'd stayed closer to the books, you guys should see Renfri in The Last Wish. They should've let Stregobor tell more of her story and not just depict her as a pure evil. Renfri was no oracle and she never warned Geralt about "the girl in the woods" and she didn't take Marilka as a hostage. I think they made a mistake cutting out an essential scene where Renfri sneaked in Geralt's room (they didn't have sex in the woods btw) , which would've helped the viewers to understand this character and her motives better. Geralt and Renfri had somewhat strange and deep understanding of each other, even though they were on the different sides. "Renfri," he repeated. "Go. If we cross blades, I -- I won't be able ---" "I know," she said, "But I, I can't do anything else. I just can't. We are what we are, you and I".
Renfri was so beautiful and her characters charm was enough for me to sympathise to her tragedy. Sucks that she died so early but oh well good character.
As I finished witcher 3 this gives me chills, the short journey in the fable land with Syanna reminded me how much impact Renfri's episode packed. The girls cursed by the black sun are the best characters, yet we only get a glimpse before they vanish
Hi I'm from Poland. Initially I doubt in music made for serial. I thought that only Percival known from game soundtrack can give a true slavic spirit. But it is so purely slavic. Reminds me ancient roots of folk and old gods themselves Beautiful theme. Thank you Hissrich for a a really magnificent job. Can't wait for season two
I wonder how many people who watched the show but never read the books noticed that Renfri is basically an alternate version of Snow White, its especially easy to see in the first book. She was chased from her life of comfort as a princess by her stepmother, had a huntsman sent to kill her who raped her but she then killed using her mother's brooch, and became the ringleader of a bandit gang of 7 gnomes who up to that point had been working in a mine. Not to mention that her thugs Geralt fought in the show were similar to the 7 dwarves despite not being dwarves.
I love how stories like these are basically about showing that good & evil are not necessarily where you think they are. By the end of the episode, you realise that the humans who hired the Witcher are the despicable ones.

My god…she was so...i can't help my tears and emotions every time i listen to this
This soundtrack was sooo heart touching😭❤
"When i was a girl, my mother used to run her fingers over my forehead. She'd say, she'd give a lovely lintar; to know the thoughts going around in there."
Love it ❤
I literally lost it at that line 😭😢
what is lintar ?
BFG Soap 10000 same question 🤔

The Soundtrack from "The Witcher" is so beautiful. My heart is crying.
Should check out the soundtracks from the games, specifically the third one.
You hear that, boys? Here’s our “reward” as gamers. So many vibes from TW3.❤️
Beautiful theme.
Renfri was great on the series, wish they shared some more scenes together
I love the slavic feel to this soundtrack .. so fitting with slavic theme of witcher series and books
Gretings from Poland
@@maciejmajcher5493 and from Russia
You made a choice, and you will never know if it was a right one.
I never understood this part. Did renfri quote stregobor or it was coincidence that they both said the same thing?
every human life ever tbh...
In Blood and Wine the DLC for Witcher 3 geralt says he still doesnt know if he did the right thing
PS: Been listening to this on repeat for the last 4 hours reminiscing about the past decade. What a decade it has been.
I wish I could see more of Renfri ❤️
For those who played Blood and Wine and didn't read books: Renfri is basically what inspired whole story of Sylvia Anna aka Syanna.
Thank you for the information .it blew me really
Mistake,Renfi appears in the story of a lesser evil, Syanna is inspired by her
Love how the music swells alongside the vocals. So dreamy.
It sounds like a lullaby. Netflix is smart choosing this as the 1st episode. Can't believe some people don't like this show :((
but as Henry said every one is entitled to their own opinion and are not toxic just passionate ... I really really liked it all
"Zło to zło...
Mniejsze, większe, średnie, wszystko jedno...
Jeśli mam wybierać pomiędzy jednym a drugim, to wolę nie wybierać wcale."
Am I the only one who loves Renfri more than Yennefer?
Chris Joe Paul no. Renfri was awesome but I find yennifer pretty mediocre
For the 1st, 3rd and 4th episode - yes. Renfri is super important character in these 3 episodes.
For the whole show with all it's future seasons - no. Yennefer is more important.
In the series, yes
Good, means they are accurate to the books. Yennefer at times is difficult to like but it what makes the character enjoyable to follow, one of the reasons.
u are not the only one buddy... you are not!!!
Great soundtrack, something original, something like Slavic sound!
i'm russian, and its true
I’m Polish and it’s true either! But the singer she’s Russian.

What kind music is this, I mean which genre or can someone suggest theme songs like this to me..its really alluring
Renfri is my favorite.
This music is a perfect embodiment of her character, so beautiful that it lures you in... like how she did Geralt.
I miss this character 😭. She was in just one episode. But love her❤️❤️❤️❤️
The most beautiful music from the series
It is
They seriously nailed the themes for this tv series. Hats off to Sonya Belousova, Giona Ostinelli.
Lets be honest. They did an amazing job to music and characters so far. Melitele bless this series.
Comfortable soothing vocals ❤❤
"Go. If we cross blades, I -- I won't be able ---"
"I know," she said, "But I, I can't do anything else. I just can't. We are what we are, you and I".
Renfri ❤️
I miss
Geralt put Renfri's brooch on his sword :((
* brooch
@@niketesambrosiosdelagrece2266 yes thank you i forgot what does that called xD
Loved her this is one of the most beautiful soundtracks
Renfri was so beautiful and her characters charm was enough for me to sympathise to her tragedy. Sucks that she died so early but oh well good character.
" The lesser evil "
@Timmy Dragonborn it's in book
A literal work of art.
Love this song! Thanks for sharing
For anyone who searches this song on Spotify, it's name is Tomorrow I'll Leave Blaviken For Good.
Time has passed. And I am still crying. From the books and from the series.
Can't wait for season two
Every dislike is from Stregobor's illusions
Renfri is just something else, very special❤️
Renfri should get a prequel show!
Show her as a princess, then how she fell and rose up and trained to kill the sorcerer
Renfri😭😭😭
The girl in the woods will be with you always. She is your destiny.
I wish this was a bit louder, otherwise, what an amazing heartfelt piece 😍 can’t wait for the official soundtrack release
First episode was like a first season to me ❤
when you hear this in the first episode ...you realize you'll be obsessed with this series
We miss you Renfri.😔

Renfri, what a superb character!
Out of all of the characters in season 1, Renfri's story is the saddest. She deserved better. RIP, Princess.
Agree, she deserve so much better 😔
'"I am what I am. Choose. Either me, or a lesser."
Renfri was FIRE !
Renfri is my most lovable character in witcher every episode i expected her ...
Ending notes and her words and ciri going in the wood . I felt this will be something really great
Hmm

If they just kept the quality of this Episode throughout the entire series, it'd be peak fiction
OMG bro this is what i love.i really appreciate u for uploading this video .i hope u bring more things about renfri(EMMA APPLETON)
Renfri is my favorite supporting character. A true psychopath who was also a victim of superstition.
Not to mention that her thugs Geralt fought in the show were similar to the 7 dwarves despite not being dwarves.
they didnt mention her band of gnomes, cuz in the books her story is an mature version of snow white princess
Yes but her band isn made of Gnomes in the book. They are juts seven thugs referencing the gnomes.
@@diegoestmar559 nope her first band are gnomes... then she meets a band of humans and one half elf witcher.fandom.com/wiki/Seven_gnomes
@@asgaard4 Wait you are right. I had completely forgotten about that. Thank you good man
I love how stories like these are basically about showing that good & evil are not necessarily where you think they are.
By the end of the episode, you realise that the humans who hired the Witcher are the despicable ones.
This melody was also in episode 3 with the striga when geralt enters temeria. Can't find the soundtrack :(
I cannot wait for the full release of "Her Sweet Kiss"
