In the books Yen is very interesting, if you read the books you get hints about her background story because she doesn’t like to talk about it because how bad it was! But yes that’s why I love Yen she’s one of the most interesting, complex characters in the Witcher world

I can't help but hear the sound of the flames she released onto the battle with this scene. Such a powerful scene. Yen was powerful enough to release her chaos and at the same time protect Tissaia from her flames.
Yen didn't protect tissia from the fire, tissia used her magic to create a shield to protect herself like that shield that mage who worked for ciri's grandmother created to protect her palace for some time, if u played the game u will know that even geralt can create this shield but smaller
The Episode four marks messed up my feelings. Her theme always reminds me of the moment when Yennefer looked in the mirror and saw her deformed face while sobbing with tears rolling down her face. The way that she converted this anger into pure power and defeated the insidious troops of Nilfgaard with fire was epic. I really hope that they don’t screw up her writing... cause I wanna be honest she has the potential to be one of my favorite characters..
They already slaughtered the character. Book Yennefer is so much more interesting and strong (and would also NEVER use fire magic). But I have to admit that the actress fucking nailed young Yennefer. Older Yennefer were... naaaah

Like wtf, she wanted to have this power. That's so hypocritical. But like I said, the actress slayed younger Yennefer. But the show itself butchered everything about her charakter. And I'm not talking about her looks (she should get a better makeup artist for season 2, also the dresses looked too "red-carpet" to me)

Philippa is far more brash and outspoken, often leading to dangerous situations. Yen, especially as she gets older, is calmer, more collected, and knows exactly what she needs to do to get things done. The only she isn't like this for is Ciri, but then again I suppose there's a reason Ciri calls herself Ciri of Vengerberg... TLDR they're both dangerous and powerful, but Philippa is a tornado (chaotic, causes a lot of unnecessary damage) while Yennefer is lighting (careful, precise).

And Tissaia is the absolute archmistress of magic and the most powerful sorceress, she's almost 1000 years old, there is no way Fringilla Vigo would defeat her, noone would. The show is making up things.
Amazing job by Sonya Belousova & Giona Ostinelli, managing to create such a unique sound for this soundtrack, while still maintaining the very feel of the game soundtracks. As a composer myself I am in awe of their work, truly inspirational!
Best of all, they made this OST without ever listening to the games soundtrack. I find it awesome they came up with the same feel of soundtrack just by looking at the books.

From the sountrack to the graphic models, everything has what I thought it looked like when first reading the books. Also the series pictures that in its own innovative way but, still, without breaking the lore I find. And the series soundtrack is heavenly.

This is the first thing that I noticed, throughout her character development, it was played and that ending scene was just WOW... Seriously in love with this season.. Can't for the next 7 seasons...!!!!
It means despite how great magic is, it doesn't give any real meaning to the user. Everything with magic has a price in exchange, so it may as well just not be real if you lose everything for it. What's real is the results and your goals, not a tool.
It was a shout out to what Geralt did. He used Djinn's wish to tie himself with Yen, which she thought was love. After Yen finds out she apparently leaves him, thinking it wasn't really Love but just a magic.

@@Geralt223 He's great, such a good character, but Yen's arc is easily the best in this season, she starts defenseless, with nothing and no one, she gradually became obsessed about being powerfull and stronger than everyone arround her, until she gets tired of it and having power means nothing for her anymore, she becomes bitter over the years but she never completely loses her empathy, this is made clear when she almost gives her life to save that baby in the fourth episode, Yen remains constantly growing until the end of the season, and in the last episode, despite trying to maintain her self-centered stance, she ends up showing the pinnacle of her empathy and power in her final scenes, she is a character full of layers and personality, the actress delivered all these layers of Yen impeccably, and about Geralt, he already starts the season as a Witcher and doesn’t change so much from the beginning to the end of the series, this makes room for him to be more explored in the next seasons, and Henry Cavill also did a very good job playing Geralt, but in general, the best character of this season was by far Yennefer.
At first there's the layer of the tragic, painful and somewhat hypnotic melody, but through all that there's a steady, slow and very strong "heartbeat" in the background (the slow ringing of the bells) waiting till midnight to sound
I think Yennefer's arc is more powerful than the MC's. Don't get me wrong but the last fight with Nilfgaard is so damm good. #YenneferTheMostPowerfulMage

I love that the themes give off the feeling of the family that Gerald/Yenn/Ciri become. Geralt has the epic strings, Yenn has the subtle but still epic oboe, and Ciri has the violin theme and when the sigils combined in the final episode, I felt like they were really combining it all and the payoff was amazing. Can’t wait to see the new dynamic of season 2 and where they go with these characters.
This is my favorite song. It sounds so fairytale-like, and I always hear the words "i have everything I wanted" in it but with the feeling that it's still not enough. perfect for ya girl, obviously.

The only actress that I am not fully happy with is Triss, BUT it's only because we haven't seen her enough, but if we are talking appearances then I don't think that she has the required amount of cuteness that Triss should have? (Again, my opinion). Oh and also I think Fringilla's actress should not appear so dull? Then again, maybe I do not know anything about the character, maybe it fits perfectly into the whole picture. Honestly, I felt like Fringilla Vigo was perfect as well. Coral honestly just needed more screen time and lines. Triss also didn't really get any time to shine either. She got a good amount of time at one point, but not enough.
I can't move on everytime I watch listen about yennefer story in this series she makes me cry all time....it's just only a movie but it really happen in real life specially us a woman ...I wish her ending happy ever after ....in this series..

I actually love who they casted for the role of Yennefer - I'm just a bit ticked with Fringilla's, Triss and Coral's chosen actresses.
Honestly, I felt like Fringilla Vigo was perfect as well. Coral honestly just needed more screen time and lines. Triss also didn't really get any time to shine either. She got a good amount of time at one point, but not enough.
I didn't like Fringilla's actress at all, the problem with Triss is that she looks a little too old when she is supossed to be the youngest...
Coral and triss..... they casted them for a reason.. Huge spoiler after what happens after battle of soddenhill
