When we decided to be two moms, we didn't think about what the world thought. We just wanted to be moms. We were fortunate enough to be able to have children. We went about our lives as a normal family with all the trials and happiness that brings. We raised two amazing individuals that are emphatic, loving and accepting of diversity. Along the way we ' encouraged peoples' misconceptions of what a family should look like. Don't worry about the outside world, your family is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this experience with us and hopefully encouraging even more people to understand that there is more than one way to live your life. Love you both!

Shaye, you *nailed it* when you said that what they mean by "don't normalize this" is absolutely "don't *humanize* this," but they don't want to say the quiet part out loud, because then their bigotry is completely naked! They are literally angry that you're just a person trying to live with authenticity and joy, and not some demon out to corrupt people. I mean, how dare you be charming and relatable and have a family? You're not supposed to want wholesome things! It's just insane to think like this! 😂

Shay, as a tall lady (I’m only 6 feet), you have to get used to people asking you how tall you are and little old ladies asking you to get things down from the top shelves in the grocery store. 😂 It is our lot in life.

Totally, I’m nearly 6 feet tall, and even though I’m a cis woman it still makes me feel masculine. I hate that something like height can make people not feel good in our own skin. Shaye is so beautiful and her height just makes her more beautiful.

As a woman who has recently started my own journey to live more authentically and present a more authentic self, I really appreciate these videos. My journey isn't about being queer but rather about healing my childhood traumas which forced me into a state of survival. Coming to realize that I've lived the better part of my life in a fight or flight mode has been enlightening and freeing. It's also really, really hard. My appearance hasn't changed but how I engage with the world has and some family and friends don't like the change. They want me to continue taking care of everything which is what I was doing for years. Anyway, my point is that what you said about allowing others to be on their own path without judgment really resonated with me. Thank you! 🥰

I probably comment on every video you guys post and quite frankly I wait for them! They give me peace, hope and just really help me to keep grounded in my journey with my trans daughter! Everytime I have a hard day or my daughter has a hard day I get on and watch a video of Amanda and Shaye! I tend to go straight to Amanda’s video of “why I support my trans partner” not because I dont support my daughter but that video always helps me to say the right thing to her. That video helps me to find the words to help my daughter on her hardest days and for that I am ultimately grateful! Thank you both! You have NO idea how much you have helped me help my daughter!

When Shaye mentioned concerns about her voice, I wanted to let her know that speech therapy can be quite effective in improving the vocal range in speech. They can do a lot, without requiring surgery. As a viewer from the first video, the things I have found so interesting are 1) the cautionary openness you have tried to convey. Shaye’s fear of backlash is still evident but she is coming out of her shell 2) your children appear to be raised with applying concepts of compassion and charity and love and kindness and it is evident from their casualness to being recorded with their parents and 3) Shaye, as a man, was striking and handsome. I couldn’t picture HIM as a feminine facial structure and then you shared HER rebirth and she is stunningly beautiful and the smiles are so radiant. I also want her hair….
You have done a lot of serious videos but I would love to watch some videos of Shaye trying to learn how to do her makeup and hair herself, much like a teenage girl would be learning while watching YT and TikTok, etc.
I would love a video about Amanda and her journey with trying to figure out if she sees herself as pansexual, a lesbian, or, even better “Shayesexual.” Amanda, now that you know you love and remain feeling deeply attached to the human known as Shaye, have you struggled with wanting to find where and who you are? For example, I expected this video to be titled “My SPOUSE…” but it was titled “My WIFE…” I am not sure why that made me pause but it made me wonder if Amanda is, independently, exploring what this transition means to who she is.

"Freefall" and "trusting the process".. There is no script, road map or predictability to any of it.
Our second puberty is fast forwarded and suddenly we're in bodies more aligned wth our truth and selves. There is no slow gentle process. And it's the social, medical and hormonal processes running parallel.
Facilitating people being themselves is saving people. Keep doing it!! Xxx

Hey girls! You too are lovely, and Shaye you are so beautiful, you irradiate that happiness of feeling your true self. Don't mind the haters, there's lot of people in this world who support and love to see families like yours, with so much true love and acceptance. And for many of us is just another proof that we can have a family just as beautiful as yours (me being a lesbian it shows me that, gives me hope).
Like some other comments, would love to see Amanda talk about what has been for her, if this made her question her sexuality, etc.
I know you have mentioned it, but I would love to see it in more detail. I saw you said that she probably had some bi inside her since she is physically attracted to Shaye now even more than before. But I wondered if she realized she is atracted to more women or women in general, or just Shaye. This is with all due respect, just wondering, but in no way I'm judging or anything like that. In fact, is probably cause me being atracted to women only, I wonder if I had a partner that later transitioned, how would I take it, and if I'd be atractted to him after transitioning and how much would that make me question my sexuality.
Hope you don't get this in a wrong way. Much love to you both and your kids ❤❤

I have found in my own journey that we are either extrovert or introvert and it's harder for the introverts to share their journey. But for us that are extroverts that douche our journey, we become advocates and we help those behind us to lift them up in showing our journeys. And I do believe for all of us there is a time where we put it aside and we do start living our lives without broadcasting it all over social media.

All I can say is Shaye I wish I had your courage. I pray that I’ll find it one day. Although I’m 46 years old already I think my time in this lifetime has passed. You should both be so proud of yourselves for having the courage to live your authentic selves and lives. Love to you both and the kiddos and pups too 🏳️‍🌈🇦🇺🏳️‍⚧️🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💙💜🖤🩶🤍🤎♥️🏳️‍🌈🇦🇺🏳️‍⚧️

Loving these videos... You are both an inspiration. Now, I am not a religious person at all (I consider myself agnostic), but I do think about religion and religiosity. Something that I have often wondered out of pure fascination with your story, is what are your relationships with God now? You are clearly no longer members of your previous church, but have you maintained your faith or an altered faith? Have you simply dropped your previous practices but still hold the same core beliefs or have you fundamentally changed in the way you think about God (and his / her) existence?

Religion is man-made...not by God. You cannot combine the two. The Lord is real and I hope you have accepted Him as your Lord and Savior.

@@Dr.GForensic With all due respect, I have no interest in what you have written or what you believe. I am, however, extremely interested in Shaye's and Amanda's belief system. There are very interesting questions about the interplay between being transgender and believing in "the Christian" God. For example, did God make a mistake and give you the wrong body? or does being a member of the queer community give you an insight into the dogma and conservatism created in the name of God?

An Amanda video and her process and transmuting through this transition would be a great video as well!!! I'm of 2 spirits & I'm totally ok with that. 😊 I very much enjoy watching your family journey. 💞
Just a note on re-legion. GENEsis is all about the genetic manipulation of hue-man-ity. The people of Nod, and Adahm & Eve were both male & female prior to their separation.
