Thank you for your thoughts on road tripping a Tesla. I've recently bought a Model Y and have been using the FSD trial for about 3 weeks now. I'll definitely be purchasing the monthly subscription to continue using it. Have only taken a 228 mile half-day trip so far. FSD was really good on the multi-lane rural roads. I keep the Tesla Mobile Charge cord in the subtrunk. At home, I use my spare J1772 charge cord from my previous car (2022 Chevy Bolt EV). Charging the Tesla has been awesome both at home and with the Supercharger network. As you explained, I can go pretty much anywhere in the US without worrying about charging the Model Y. I live on the coast of Georgia, but lived in the central Florida region for about 20 years. I loved living there. Also, I've rented cabins up in North Georgia (Mineral Bluff, GA) quite a few times. It is beautiful up in the mountains and I always enjoyed my time there. Enjoy all the adventures you and your wife have in the Tesla. And thanks again for the thoughtful and informative video!

Lee, thank you so much for watching and commenting on the video. Charlie did an awesome job talking about his experience with his road trip and charging his Tesla. The furthest I’ve been with my Tesla is South Georgia, but it was still awesome. It’s nice to hear other people like yourself thoroughly enjoying the car and what it can do for you. There’s a lot of electric haters out there which simply tells me they’ve never driven one or used one for a vacation. I was fortunate enough to get my full self driving when I purchased the car in 2021 and have been one of the original 2000 beta testers. So I have seen the car go through some major changes since then. There’s many cases where I would prefer the car to drive because I think it would actually do a better job than myself! It definitely drives safer than I do. I’m heavy on the accelerator and follow a little bit too close. FSD doesn’t get butt hurt if it gets cut off and does not get road rage. It only wants to get you there safely.
      Thanks again for sharing!
