cleaning valves.. Drill & bench grinder with wire wheel Put the valve into the drill and and spin up while hitting the wire wheel. You will see if a valve is bent and they’ll clean like new
The later tsx engines burning more oil has to be a change in valve seal material because they ALL have bad valve seals. If you are getting the seals replaced anyway, any year SHOULD be ok. With everything you did to this engine, literally just about any K series will be safe. Great video and it really is very informative.
You want the 06-08 TSX block because its hands down the better block. Better crankcase ventilation, under piston oil squirters, better aggressive cams, the strongest OEM connecting rods.
Wow this is so great to listen to you guys share what you know. I'm 18 and have been learning about how to build since I was 11. Thank you SO MUCH. Subscribed :)
Jroc asked how the valves are cleaned. At my old cylinder head shop we used a tumbler that used pea sized shot with kerosene. The valves came out as nice as new every time, ready to have a new face and tip cut. We'd also throw the springs, retainers and keeper in with them. The keepers were put inside something we called an "egg" that was basically two PVC caps that screwed together, with small holes drilled all over it to allow the kerosene in.

How much you guys charge
For this build? Did you guys find the motor for him too? I’m interested in the same build
Hey what’s up 🔥 video but I have a question . I literally have the same set up but was told I can’t run a 50vtc , was it a untouched 50vtc or did it have a degree pin in it ?
Love your Street Magic series!
Nothing but love in this vid fr
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing the pro tips
8:40 I've always wanted to strip and rebuild an entire engine only using an impact, would be a fun little experiment to see if it works (or how much you ruin)
Can you make a boost series similar to this? Like what all is needed for a 300/400/500 supercharged/turbo K? I'm putting together a supercharged K24 and pretty severely overwhelmed lol.
Great video guys,
Thanks 👍
To plug the hole for the balance shaft oil pump for the Tsx block do you put Hondabond on the small bolt you insert in it?
Hey guys, I have a fa5. My build is identical except i have a k20z3 head and dc 2.2s. Hoping to hit 12s on the drag strip.
Would you guys recommend a short final drive (5.06 or spoon 5.1) with a 260 whp on a street car?
I don’t do much highway driving. Mostly mountain roads.
Thoughts?
Nice build man I've would like to know the money spent on this build. Sick man keep it up
I used to have a DC5 but now I have a TL type S that I daily and I really like the sound of the J series but the K series sounds great. Lots of people like the B which I think has a louder crossover sound.
So what was the price for parts? You guy’s mentioned to talk about price but didn’t.
Great video, thanks for drop those gems. I’ll be trying to do something similar here soon
Do a manual swap video for k24 please !
The best part of the video is how you all break the bolts loose by hand and not an impact gun!
Just wondering if the unbolt sequence at 8:32 is correct, or just the way the video was edited?
Dope build, think I'm gonna do one up for my s2!
keep it up bro love your videos and all the education that’s in them
thanks
