I’ve also seen talk of them saying the headrest speakers may be removed on some units. After receiving mine they have removed head rest speakers 🔊

Great video. And I thought I knew what I wanted! Will ask my dealer to change my King Ranch order to a Platinum with the black onyx/carmelo interior to replace the beautiful Java interior on the King Ranch, but for $890 more with the Platinum, you get BOTH the LED projector headlamps and LED taillamps. I also didn't think I wanted the max-recline seats until you pointed out the fact that that is how you get the 10 way power drivers seat and the 4 way adjustable front headrests. Wasn't gonna add the supplemental cabin heater either as I'm in Texas but it can get cold here, and it's pennies on the dollars so why not? Can't retrofit it later. Probably would still prefer the King Ranch but the new darkened bronze two tone color has a little more red in it than I would prefer, but the LED head and tail lamps was the determining factor once I realized it was just a little more for it.

I’m a true king ranch fan. I’m still bummed they they didn’t think King ranch deserved the Projector LED headlights or tails. They have setup the trims in their favor to gain money in the long run. Max recline look so much richer to.

We are looking to order our first Super Duty for towing our retirement rig. Glad I saw this video since I had missed the difference in headlights. I am comparing the Lariat with Ultimate package with about everything to the Platinum and Limited trims. Exterior color will be Iconic silver. On the Platinum, I didn't see where it let you choose any color but black on the lay flat seats but I would choose that anyway. The other excellent nugget was ordering the vinyl flooring, I had missed that option. Leaning towards the Limited right now. The last thing is I would get th High Output diesel in whichever trim I choose. It is standard in the Limited but for me, it is not so much about horsepower and torque as having that water cooled turbo and higher flowing heads. That seems to me as adding more reliability. Between limited and platinum not much difference when optioned out the same. Platinum will be a slightly cheaper option. The king ranch interior is still my favorite. You can order now just build a 23 and send build to your dealer.
@americandream_89 Yep, what is swaying me are the massage seats 💺 as well! That narrowed it down to two. Leaning Platinum right now!

@@tech3nc Order both. I'm 18 months (March 2022) into an order for a 2022/23/24 F450KR. Added a F450 Platinum order to the mix for 2024 hoping to get something scheduled. The 2024 orders went in July 16 2023 and I still have no build date or any indication that they plan to build either truck ever.
I bought a 2017 XLT. I put more options on it than a King Ranch, have a nicer truck for way less money. But I am old it is my last truck.
I had a 17 f250 that truck hooked me on Ford.
I always get the built in safe. And I make sure to get the rear sway bar option .
I like the idea of the safe but it takes up so much room. I don’t live in a area that so far has needed that thank God. But I get it for some. I think the rear sway comes standard on the tremor 350 pack.
@americandream_89 On the Tremor package I believe the sway bar is deleted. If someone took this thing off road, a sway bar limits articulation. One reason I chose to forget about adding Tremor package.

I’m sure they will. I’ve never used aftermarket full headlights besides bulbs. I’m curious as to performance and fit to factory. Good to know I can’t stand halogen.
@@americandream_89 I have the Morimoto led projector headlights and taillights on my 22 f350 dually as I could not find a truck during Covid times with the factory led projectors so I had get lariat ultimate with halogens which I hate also.I will tell you this much both headlights and taillights from Morimoto fit finish and beam pattern is second to none great light output. The headlight and twilight purchase combined is actually more expensive than from factory…but worth every penny if your truck came with halogen. I only mention this because on the 23/24 models led projector lights are not and option anymore on lariats for those who are going that route and saw your video I ordered 2 f350s and one 450 two weeks ago when they opened the 24 order banks now gotta sit and wait

I was looking at the GMC Ultimate 2500,($95000)I love the interior, but I didn't know about the Ford Camel interior, learned something here. The GMC doesn't have an adjustable pedal, that was uncomfortable to my bad knees. I didn't know the differences in headlights between the King Ranch and the Platinum so this video was worth watching. I always have to buy vinyl coverings for my Ford trucks so I'll save some money by buying the vinyl flooring. Thanks again
Thanks for the feedback it’s appreciated. I’m a Hugh fan of the new GMC look and interior on the ultimate. But Ford tows better in my testing along with creature comforts. GMC seats are also like a rock in comparison. Maybe others like that but I’ve seen many complain so I doubt it. I truly think a platinum and limited are a step above a GMC ultimate.

Wish they had a monochromatic package that deleted the exterior two-tone. I was torn between the limited and the king ranch, but ultimately went with the king ranch for the interior. The tail lights are not too worried about. I can just switch out the incandescent bulbs for LEDs, but it would’ve been nice to have those headlights on the limited.
I’m coming from a ram 2500 Laramie, so I really hope I love this truck as it will be my first Ford. I purchased it to tow a 42 foot 14,500 dry fifth wheel.

Was your ram a diesel or gas?
It’s a gasser 6.4 hemi, and it’s my daily. I drive about 10-12 miles to work- 17 min door to door. Tow about 12-16 times a year so the diesel and dually weren’t contending options for me.
@@vincew.6905 you sound like a very reasonable and smart man. Sounds like you made a good decision. I can’t personally speak on the new Godzilla motor but from everything I’ve seen it’s the top dog of gas motors for towing. Congrats on the truck.
As for the diesel, it’s the same way Ford has so much more power towing .
Good info. I optioned out a lariat, king ranch and platinum and they cost was virtually the same after you option them equally. I think the main bummer for me was no sport package, I like the look a little better. Your saying higher quality leather in the upper models, I’d rather have better quality vs appearance so that was good to know.
The king ranch, platinum, and Limited all have a more realistic softer leather than a lariat and below. What truck did you end up ordering?
@@americandream_89 will end up going with the platinum 7.3. I’d love a diesel but not the extra maintenance costs. All I tow is a race car/trailer so should be more than enough.
@@_Mike_D_The only reason I am going diesel is because when hooked to a large camper it is much easier to fuel up in the big rig truck stops than trying to battle the tight spaces around gas pumps. That and campers you have to watch height restrictions.

What extra maintenance is evolved besides fuel filters
I still haven’t received my truck and have only received 2 emails saying they haven’t forgot my order.
Talked to the dealer nov 28 23 this is what I was told.
Still hasn’t been picked up, but is ordered in the system. Truck plant was shut down for 6 weeks since you ordered so everything is backed up for now.
I ordered mine I ordered a 2024 Lariat tremor with a million options and I'm still waiting on mine but I do have a VIN number I was told I'll be getting mine August or September of this year... let's see if that actually happens

From what I have gleaned, Kentucky is a right to work state. Hopefully they aren't affected too much by supply lines/strikes
Man your making me want to swap back to a ford. I had a '23 king ranch that was supposed to be a platinum. We deleted a bunch of options (big mistake) to try and get it here faster. I ended up trading it for a Denali Ultimate. I hated the emergency braking and my view. I think your going to love that truck. Nice video!!!
Ford is hard to beat. I truly think the Denali ultimate is the best looking truck out. I just can’t get over the Ford power and comfort. The front seats in the Gmc/Chevy kill it for me. I also would really miss my key pad on the door and moon roof. Although my moon roof has messed up on ever one I’ve had 😒
But I think many fell victim to your same mistake trying to get the truck. I’m seeing them deliver much faster now. At least currently but that could change. I’ll update every one once I get it on my thoughts.
I’m excited to get it and do some testing.
I agree the Denali seats are very stiff compared to the ford. I am a ford guy and ran all fords until this Denali. The seats would be my number one complaint. Also GM doesn't have the adjustable pedals. I think it is the best looking truck out of the big 3 but Ford definitely wins in comfort. I might have a '24 platinum on order 🤫 @@americandream_89

Good Luck and enjoy the wait. I ordered a 2023 F350 Lariat Tremor in Iconic Silver with the 6.7 H.O. Diesel on Feb 6, 2023…….I JUST received my VIN and build week of August 14, 2023 a couple of weeks ago. It will sill take an average of 10 to 12 weeks AFTER the build for the truck to be at my dealer. That is 9 months from ordering to key fob in hand.
I’m fine with that. I see more and more people every day with less money along with trucks on lot more than the past 2 years. Financing is crazy high so people are backing out. I figured at least 7 month wait.
@@americandream_89 I am putting 70k down and still financing 22k so I understand what you are saying. But actually interest rates are at an normal average right now, people have enjoyed 0 - 3 percent interest rates for so long that now they think it’s normal. I am 54 and remember back in the 90’s the normal interest rate was 9 percent for a vehicle AND a house. In the 80’s interest rates got as high as 13 - 15 percent for a vehicle and that was with perfect credit (score 720 and above).
@@armedprophet3321 you’re 100% correct on interest rate. My first business loan was at 9% at the time I didn’t even have a clue about interest rates. And I’ve heard many talk about way higher interest-rate than that just like you are. Last truck i finance was at 1.9%.

They are scarce right now. I’ve only seen a few on the forum’s delivered. We have only one 23 platinum in my home town that got delivered. Most orders are getting pushed into 24 for 23 builds.
because the top 3 trims were a job 2 from ford didn't start building them until july20 23
The rapid heat has nothing to do with warming the engine up quicker…. It’s a supplemental electric heater in the dash that produces heat until the engine comes up to operating temperature.
I understand that. Hopefully in my video I didn’t make people think I was meaning motor temps.
That’s why I think it’s a great addition. Diesel truck engines take longer to warm up because of low rpm unlike a gas which I mentioned. So I want to be able to defrost my windows asap which the electric heater helps with. One without this addition would need the motor to be hot before heated air would come into the cab.

That bed power is going to be super handy. I know once I use it I’ll never go back lol
They say that you don't want to idle these trucks because the oil pump runs low pressure at idle. Kinda defeats the purpose of the bed power.

Ordered a 2023 end of October last year KingRanch Tremor. Never got built so my dealer ordered a 2024 for me!!! Super pissed as now interest rates are up and have no price protection grr… only thing they gave me was a $2000 off coupon
That’s odd. My dealer said mine is locked on price. I’ve already got an invoice with price for different plans as in x plan and others. Most dealers are shady
Ordered my 2022 F450 KR in March 2022. Still no build date, and Ford didn't offer a coupon.
I opted out of a king ranch because I don’t care for the king ranch badging. I didn’t go with a platinum since I don’t like the glittery white color only offering. I had to go lariat for Oxford white.
The lariats are nicer in 23 and up, than the platinum in 22 and back.
I really liked the diamond quilted stitch pattern on the limited seats. All roads lead back to Oxford white for me. My business fleet is Oxford white like most are, gotta stay there. Great content btw, appreciate it! My dealer said plan on a year to get it. That was before the UAW deal. Might make it better?

Did you ever consider getting a Dually F350 or 450 with wider turn radius?
I did consider an F450 but after driving one, they just ride too rough for me. Even on the main highway in a F450 if you hit a rumble strip or something like it would shift the whole truck in the road.. If they made a tremor f450 I would highly consider it. The F350 doesn’t have the same turning radius as the F450. You can only get the wide track front on the F450. Which would cost me another 20 grand for the same set up I’ve got in this 350 SRW. As in if I went and bought a 450+ put a Carli suspension on it to match the tremor.

@@americandream_89 We are adding the Buckstop lift treatment with single tire conversion and full Liquid Spring suspension. Flatbed and camper as well. Will live in this truck full time in North America. We wanted the a 19,500 lb GVRW that the 550 offers. The 450 is borderline capable, but I wanted the extra weight capacity so as to not tax the truck so much.

Gonna be a wait man! All the great options will become constraints down the road. Ordered a '22 Platinum. '23's we announced and cancelled the '22. Fast forward almost two years and I'm still waiting on a VIN for the '23.
I figured so. However I do see more people backing out of orders. Along with financing for people has got outrageous rates. So I’m hopefully to get it in 6-8 months.
And you can cancel the 23 and place the order for the 24...and you can play this waiting game for 10 more years!!!

So you can’t build a 24 on the website yet. But you can build a 23 and send it to your dealer and they will add the options to a 24 and order it. If you go to my Instagram in the bio, it will show you all the changes from 23 to 24. Along with With this video.

The Lariat has soft supple vented pigskin while the king ranch has old hard thick stiff cow leather that will burn your asset in the summer and keep om burning... In the winter it freezes your asset and keeps on freezing.
We definitely have different opinions but to each their own. The seats are just one of the better things.
4.30 locking diff and a 3.5 carli/king pintop is the only way to go
4:30 would be way to low for a diesel on road in my opinion. I don’t need that low towing. 3:55 is low to me. For a gas truck they need it. I like the pin top though

Yes
No you cannot. Baja is only available in Lariat trim trucks. The closest thing that you can get in a Platinum is called Carmello.

Do they come with bed cover automatically to keep tools in bed locked up?
Ford had one you can get from the factory. I haven’t used it but it reminds me of the retrax cover system. I had the tri flip one from them and really liked it.
Yeah ford offers a roll up cover.
There are better covers for the money than the factory Ford option.

Yeah but only in really high end versions. Many have imitation versions though
I've never ordered a build before. Is $1000 down for the build normal and are they always sold at MSRP? Any other costs except for what you add for your build? Like hidden dealer fees? Thank you
Normally $500 is what I’ve paid. I think $1000 is too much. I would have them sign off that they have an allocation in writing. Msrp is suggested retail. Right now most dealers will not budge off of msrp. That is changing rapidly as many more trucks being ordered are not being taken by buyers. Interest rates are too high along with student loans kicked back in. I’ve seen truck prices falling. My dealer excepts Ford plans which you can get from anyone who worked there. I also see many more now selling at invoice pricing. I would ask them up front if they have any fees like prep, setup, doc etc. Some will try to sell you stuff so be prepared for that. Most of it’s a gimmick. I would not buy from a dealer that didn’t except ford plans

Here in the Inland Northwest there isn't an honest dealer to be found. I'm willing to travel to any part of the country to get the right truck at the right price. Thank you

Yes, the dealer I used seems to be very upfront and honest thus far. I linked everything in the bio of video. They accept any plan Ford offers and they did also during the China virus. The salesmen do not work off commission so they do not press you for time as in rush you to buy. I diligently searched many dealers and can say you are correct. Majority only care about getting your money 💰 Would highly appreciate if you told them I sent you as they will give me a $100 if you buy from them. But it’s not a have to case and I understand that you may feel that’s why I’m sending you there. But if you do find differently either way come back and tell everyone your experience I’m just one person. I’d like to think and know I’m steering people in a good direction.
@@americandream_89 I'm sure Bob Swope Ford is a much better place to buy a truck than here in the Inland NW. I see Elizabethtown is about 2100 miles from me. I have a son living in Texas. I could make a fun trip going there and buying a truck. I'm a bit confused on the Ford plans. There's the A-Plan, Z Plan, and the plan you mentioned. Do you have to have a relative working for Ford to get the discount and best pricing? Or do I just make my build online and download it and take it to the dealership and hope for the best? Sorry, I've never done this before. Perhaps I need to find a guide on how to do this. Thanks Ben
@@rameylewis7730 that’s the place. I worked with Marcus As stated. To get a plan you have to know someone working for or retired from Ford. They will get you a code and you tell the dealer. With lead times on trucks being unknown that gives you time to find this person. You don’t need the code until you pick up the truck. I’ve been told you can also join the ford mustang club and receive a code. But you have to be a member for min of 3-6 months I think. You can also use uship if you do not want to make the trip. Marcus could possibly help you will shipping also but I’m not sure.

In theory, that sounds good, but I tried to do that with my 17 with CJC off-road. For $4000 you can’t build the same as factory. Yes you can get it lifted for $1000 but then you still need tires,2 drive modes, water axle vents, differential lockers, etc.
I’ve never had cp4 issues 98% of the time that’s from bad fuel.

Why in the heck are you wasting so much money by buying a 17, a 20, and now a 24? There is not enough of a difference to justify losing 20 or so thousand dollars every few years unless you can write it off for a business or you're just filthy rich. Since repossessions are at an all time high, my guess is most folks buying these rigs are not wealthy.
For me it’s a business write off. I’ve also never lost $20000 on any of them.
@Stratoliner5 if you use any vehicle you buy for a business you can write that vehicle off on your taxes. As long as you have multiple vehicles, you can dedicate the other ones to Business.
