  • Powered by either a 6.7L high output diesel or 7.3L gas engine, the Ford Tremor SuperDuty gives you the benefits of an off-road capable truck with the towing and payload capabilities that the SuperDuty is know for. The Ford SuperDuty got some upgrades for the 2023 model year, with minimal changes to the 2024 model.
    In this video I take a look at the Ford SuperDuty Tremor and go over features you'll find across the different trim levels, available payload, towing and more.
    While I touch briefly on payload and towing capacity in this video, you can find the more in depth look at capacities in this video: • 2022 Ford SuperDuty Co...

    As an Alaskan, I have one comment on the runningboards which I base off of first-hand experience. First, however, I want to give you a first, however, I want to give you a five out of five on your review of this truck l! Although I was born and reared in the Northern Rocky Mountains, when I retired from the military, I retired to the greatest and best state in the union. However, for people who live either in the Rockies, the sierra Nevada’s and/or far north, like Montana or the Dakotas, where they will reach temperatures similar to what we reach (though obviously nowhere near as cold when Alaska decides to have a serious, arctic winter storm,) in Alaska the power running boards can in snowy and extremely cold conditions become iced over to where they are unable to deploy. This can damage either the Runningboard, and or the motors attempting to deploy them. Therefore , I would never choose anything but the runningboards which are unmovable if you live in Alaska, the Rockies farther north, the sierra Nevada’s farther north or the Dakotas where temperatures can reach -40 Fahrenheit, or colder. If you live in those regions and you Want a really nice decked out truck I would highly advise against getting the power runningboards. This would mean getting the XLT lariat with all of the options on it to make it like a Platinum, Limited, or a King Ranch. Otherwise this was more useful as a review than any I’ve seen so far and more useful than what my dealer gave me.! I give you a five out of five for your review! Well done and thank you!

      Appreciate that, thanks for the kind words! Great point about the running boards too. I have mentioned it in a few previous videos but glossed over that fact in this video. Luckily they can be permanently locked up or down for the winter but I really should stress that in future videos in case people don't realize that's the case. Do you have one of these yourself?

    Just bought a 2024 white tremor. I love this truck!

      Good to hear! What truck did you have before this upgrade?

      I had a 2013 Raptor that I loved but needed more towing capacity.

      @@CarsWithSteve well the gas mileage is worse but think it’s more to do with high winds and many highway miles. Love the interior and other features. I mean it’s an 11 year old truck compared to a new one.

      @@CarsWithSteve It reminds the 60s and 70s American cars; until 1991, I was still driving my dad's 1974 Buick Apollo, a Chevy Nova clone, with Chevy 250 6 cyl. and manual column shifter, three on tree as they used to call it.

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Column shifters do have that nostalgic charm. Your dad's 1974 Buick Apollo must have been a real head-turner back in the day

      @@CarsWithSteve It was an ordinary compact American sedan. Prior to that, we had a '71 AMC Javelin SST with 304 cid V8 and 3 speed manual consoler shifter. That was a head turner as it was a gorgeous rare car.

    Instead of the Tremor package on XLT, I would rather buy a Lariat with FX4, the price should be similar.

    • @CarsWithSteve

      Ohh good choice there. FX4 vs Tremor could be an interesting video to shoot 🤔

      The Tremor is better off-road. Suspension upgrade over the FX4. More capable off-road. Especially in the F150. Major upgrade in the F150. Not sure about the 250.

    Payload is found on the sticker on drivers side door jamb. Don’t have to guess.!

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      More of a guess when you're factory ordering one but that payload sticker is key for in stock units! There really isn't a good way to determine the true payload in something that isn't a stripped down truck

  • @LWRC

    How do you order the XLT with standard analog gauges instead of these bar graph gauges which are annyoing to look at?!

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Only available digital now unfortunately.. You might be able to rip one out of an older SuperDuty but you'd lose some functionality doing it

    • @LWRC
      @LWRC 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@CarsWithSteve Of the big 3 HD truck manufcaturers, I think Ford has the best styling and overall design and product. Except for the digital gauges. I really want one of these Tremors!
      Most manufacturers are going to digital gaugues and that's fine. But the execution by Ford with the bar graphs with no numerical scale is forcing you to read the digital numbers in the middle which makes it completely worthless! There are a few channels on TH-cam that showcase the 2024 Porsche 911 Turbo S and just look at that design and execution! Clear, concise and easy to read! If Ford can't figure it out, they should just copy! The whole idea behind analog gauges is it conveys the information in the fastest manner without ambiguity! Ford's designers just threw something together and called it a day without even understanding the underlying principles!
      This is just another unforced error by Ford.

      Neat setup in the 911. The simplicity reminds me of what Jeep did with the newer Grand Cherokee cluster. It could just be that they haven't gotten enough feedback from existing owners so haven't felt the need to redesign it. But I'd like to see more customization options across the board from every manufacturer
