Whenever I miss my Vegas family and hometown, I watch your videos. But now I'm getting ready for a San Diego trip with my family and watching your hometown videos!! Thanks Jaycation!!
Watched a bunch of you and Normas videos for vegas. Now, I am planning a trip to SD in September. Thx four the tourist educational videos bud. They're most helpful.
Thanks for mentioning all of the great things to do .I love fish tacos ,mexican food ,yet I never had a California burrito .I need to visit and also have lunch or dinner in Old town.
We did just about everything on your punch list. The Midway Tour was great. Next to the Midway is Whale Watching Tour (we saw a number of whales, seals and a submarine very cool). LaJolla! Coronado, Old Town, Little Italy, Trolley Tours a must. Eating on Harbor Island and Bay Area 👍 Hanging out on Sundays listing to open air music performers near the port. Water Tour of all the Navy Ships, Bridge, Bay front and scenery a must. Great Mexican Food everywhere. San Diego Zoo! What can I Say.
@@Ttnag We stayed just across the street from the USS Midway. I believe it was called the Bayfront? We had access to a parking lot but it was an expensive daily cost. We also used the trolley that was right outside the hotel or walked to the pier for the Whale Tour or USS Midway or drove to Old Town and Restaurants across the Bay. Sooo much to see in San Diego. Enjoy!
Not a first timer. Maybe a millionth timer but some stuff in this video I haven’t tried. Thank you for providing great value on this channel! I had some bomba$$ flautas somewhere in SD in 2003 and I haven’t found it again! You got a kids things to do in SD video?
Thank you Jay :) coming to SD for the first time. Amazing video 😁 Perfect One stop shop for what to do. I've seen your other videos, I know what we're going to do when we're in town. Now I just need to find a video what to do with a kid:) other than the zoo...
I've tried the original Rubios for fish tacos, but then up here in So Cal Rubios are plenty. I've got my fish taco spots in LA, so will watch your Fish Taco vid next. Also need to do Little Italy as well. Got the chance to walk through but not really hang out in the area since the Trolley stops right there.
im originally from LA but moved to texas about a year ago and let me tell you. its awful! cheap doesnt mean better. i love san diego been there twice! me & my fiance loved it!. we are def thinking about moving there in a year
I am a proud Texan and there is NOTHING awful about my state. What is awful is living in a tropical, Democratic state disaster and having to be forced to move to another state because your state is too expensive to live in and your state leaders don't give a care. Now that's AWFUL!!
@@librarising6273 i been to AZ, Hawaii, Vegas, lived in CA & currently living txs. txs is by far the worst state i have been too lol🤦🏻♂ crime & amber alerts all the time.
@@eeeveee9176 The crime rate is actually higher in California than it is in Texas. Go research that! It's not fair that you are calling Texas awful, it must not be too awful because you moved here. All of you Californians are moving here and you have the audacity to complain. Your state is a mess! Your Democratic state leaders have destroyed everything good California is known for. If you don't like Texas that's fine, go back to California.
@@librarising6273 i moved for my gf 🤦🏻♂ im actually moving back end of this year & i couldnt be more excited! people (not just from CA) sees texas as a last resort. nobody actually wants to live there. they just have too lol. when they cant buy something from target , they go to dollar tree
@@eeeveee9176 Well that's not true at all because I have plenty of friends and even there are TH-camrs that have moved to Texas and they say they love it. Texas is not California so don't criticize the state because it's not up to your California standard. These are 2 different states with a different way of life and culture. What part of Texas do you live in? I've been all around this state and the great thing is every city is different. Some places are rural or country and other parts are very suburban. Texas we have a little bit of everything here. 🙂
Love SD, it’s 2hr drive from home but worth it. I like your video, can you do your top 5 fish tacos spot for 2022. Liberty station is also a good spot. La Jolla is my relax spot. The acai bowls are great in SD.
Good stuff man. I haven't been to San Diego since 2014. I was last there for work at a High school baseball all-star game at Petco (Perfect Game) and I didn't have time to be a tourist. Whenever I do get a chance to go there again, I'll refer to this video and some of your others for ideas. Even though I live in OC, I always enjoying watching these and seeing how awesome your city is.
Really wonderful video! I can't wait to check the rest out! I just started planning our first San Diego trip and what were the chances I'd land on a video from a fellow College Program alumni?? Phenomenal video - Thanks in advance for all the content!
Jaycation I love my burritos, yes, my favorite r from Pancheros. When I travel there I will try the California burritos, I shall take ur words for it ^_^
the lady shell was actually where I got to visit my first ever concert. Tom Jones in 1992. No recollection whatsoever since I was too small and had zero interested in the guy, but it's nice to see, nonetheless, that this place is still a thing.
Being from Sandy Eggo, You might try to set a new trend. In the 70s I lived in Victorville. A Mexican food place had the "Garbage Burrito". It had all sorts of things in it. But just the name is what is in comment here. Just come up with the "Garbags Burrito" fill it however appropriate and get local mexican food places to give it an expression. "jaycation's Garbage Burrito".
Sorry brother, Coronado has always been a peninsula, the Silver Strand has always been there created by silt deposit from the Tijuana River. North Island, was separated from Coronado by the Spanish Bight, but was filled in during WW2. That's probably where you are getting mixed up. Think of it this way? How could Juan Cabrillo discovered San Diego bay back in 1542 without the Silver Strand protecting it? Otherwise it would not have been a bay.
The first thing I would probably do and the first thing I did when in San Diego was touch down at World Famous and have some fish tacos and then hit the beach right there in PB. I don’t remember too many hot women on the beach though which seemed strange. I might make my way around to PB Shore Club and The Firehouse if I remember…make my way up Garnet to Bub’s or somewhere similar. The lively party scene lifts your spirits where the beers are fresh and crisp and always on tap and you get to eat some delicious PO Boy!
The homeless and liberal government has turned this once pristine city into a crime ridden extension of LA. Be careful where you go and what you do. After my forty years of living here, I suggest you visit Napa instead.
MUST EAT AT: Point Loma Seafoods. ORDER: Smoked Fish Sandwich. To die for. I grew up in SC County and when I have flown home, the first thing I/we do when leaving Lindbergh, is stop by and eat here. CAN'T recommend more. 2805 Emerson St, San Diego, CA 92106
Coronado, Seaport Village, Little Italy, Old Town, Hillcrest, Mission Beach, La Jolla, Balboa Park, Gaslamp, Presidio Park
