Was totally worth the trip to San Diego again for California burritos, Mike Hess Tacos and to see the sea lions despite the smell 😂
Haha always a good time with AK!
Thanks 🎉
Great content as always Jay! I first visited San Diego in Thanksgiving of 2022. Loved it sooo much, & your vids have helped me on everything there. I'd love to come back to SD hopefully later this year to see it a 2nd time. I miss the sunshine, the ocean, laid back California lifestyle, & especially the food. Carne Asada Fries from Roberto's & Nico's, along with Scallop Sandwiches at Point Loma Seafood, mannn I wanna try them both again, & eat more Asian food at Convoy District. Much love from a fellow loyal traveler & food lover from Dallas, Texas! 😃
Thanks, for all the useful information. There are scams and dangers almost everywhere. Good luck with your New channel, it will do well. Your content always interesting and exciting, Good to see Action Kid.
Yeah still gotta highlight them even if its common sense lol
Right on Jay! I haven't been to SD in many years but I found myself agreeing with pretty much all your points. As much as it's changed since I left in 1998 after fifteen years, some things haven't changed at all ! Cheers man
Have to disagree on public transit. Went everywhere, including La Jolla, via bus and trolley. Wonderful.
About time we see some new San Diego content! Much Love Jay Jay ! Keep up the great work 😎
SD is back!
Great tips Jay!! Thanks for bringing back some San Diego content again. 💪🏽💯💪🏽💯
more on the new channel!
Awesome video. Looking forward to the new channel. Fun times 😁
Thanks dude!
Great video Jaycation. The tourist trap regarding the US-Mexico border can also be applied to the US-Canada border to a certain extent as well particularly at the Blaine Washington/White Rock BC crossing. Apart from a few duty free shops that are very expensive & the Peace Arch, there isn't much to do besides those two things. In fact most people use the Blaine crossing to get gas or a quick bite to eat before crossing into Canada due to how expensive gas is in Canada.
Yup ive been up there!
Thanks Jay..yes your right there are plenty of scams and rip offs!! I've even had to deal with homeless people in the gaslamp district as well sometimes!! But on the positives thank you and congrats on your new channel 👍👍😃
Yeah unfortunately a lot of homeless around downtown even more now
I'm heading back to San Diego in about a month. It's way too cold up here in MN! And I just subscribed to your second channel.
Thanks!
IDK if this is a scam or not, but watch out for those people who are standing in front of skincare shops or kiosks handing out samples. I was at Seaport Village while comic con was going on and was approached by a woman standing outside a skincare shop near a coffee and bagel place and she was asking me all sorts of personal questions and trying to sell me a $200 eye lotion made of ingredients you can find in a lotion for a fraction of the price elsewhere. These shops and kiosks are prevalent at areas tourists gather in San Diego and elsewhere, all sales are final (they usually make their refund policy as hard to find), and they use aggressive tactics once they get you to sit down for a demo. Someone in Las Vegas did a youtube video that explains it in more detail how this hustle targets vulnerable women tourists. Like the CD scammer, just don't stop for someone who is approaching you and please don't let them put something in your hands.
Great informative video for people coming into town
Thanks bro!
Super helpful! Thank you!
Awesome video. Very helpful.
Thanks for the warnings!
Excited for that new channel!
Thanks!
Hi, I will be staying at the Pacific Shores Inn by the Crystal pier. Do you think that would be using enough to get around if I had a rented car or is that area way too busy?
Thanks for the updates on the scams.
Already subscribed to the new channel.👍
Don't need to visit the border in California. I live on the border in Texas. I can see Mexico from my house.😂
Haha so close to mexico!
Good tips Jaycation! California burrito looks yummy. I would go on the haunted tours! 😝🤗
Haha pass on the haunted tours for me
I'll be back next month. Thanks for posting this info.. SD is one of my favorite places to be ❤ I can't wait for the new channel 😁
Nice! Have a nice trip back to SD!
Love the SD content! Stayed at the Hyatt last year. Being from Hawaii, I wasn’t prepared for the many trains coming through near Harbor Dr. 😂.
Those trains are so annoying lol
The CD one is the easiest to avoid by saying " I dont have a CD player" 😁
Haha or just ignore
This should be on Jaycation San Diego channel 😂. 👍 video
Nah need to bridge it
I fell for the CD scam when I first moved here back in April. Do yourself a favor and just keep walking. If you engage at all, you will be giving up some money. Tried the “I don’t have cash” line but didn’t matter. They got Venmo too. Walk as far away from them as you before passing by 😅
tks Jaycation beautiful views
Thanks for the tips!
Thanks Cathie!
Awesome job jay thumb up .
Thanks 👍
We S.D. residents always avoid weekdays.....
Sea World. There are more gift shops than necessary there. Now that no outside food is allowed you're forced to pay super high prices for food and drinks.
Norma's favorite words "Don't Do It" Lol
Haha truth!
Parking-especially during Comic Con. OMG, it’s crazy.
Yeah during sdcc its bad
Of course you can get around San Diego on public transportation. You can hop on buses to the beaches. You can hop on a trolley down to the border. You can hop on buses to the popular tourist attractions around San Diego.
thanks J
I now wish I tried those Cali burritos when I was there! 🌯
Haha next time
San Diego the real deal bro. Been there twice with friends and both times were thrilling!
Sea lions aren’t dangerous it’s the selfish, people that are dangerous to the sea lions sea lions are simply defending themselves….
Hi ya from kiwiland new Zealand. I have visited your fantastic city 3 times for comic con hopefully be back again in the not to distant future.
Nice! Come back!
12:40 thanks for that one! Ignore them or say u bought one already. They are scammers!
Haha i just ignore em
CD scammers are around San Diego Comic Con and I can’t stand them
Tourist traps: Seaport Village, Kansas City Barbecue, majority of restaurants in the Gaslamp, Mexican food in Old Town.
Must see: Coronado, Barrio Logan, restaurants in Liberty Station, Little Italy, and Convoy district. Hidden Gem: Torrey Pines Glider Port
I've got that exact same light blue Jaycation hoodie 😁
Thanks for the love!
These advices and tips are essentials for the tourists for sure 😎Thank you for sharing these Jay 🙂👍!!!
Thanks jari
I’ll give it a go
Cool!
Me and my kids love that roller coaster 😉
Haha glad u do
ACTION KID !!!!!
I love those glasses that you wearing and they're are so cool.
Thanks
Just dont drive south on the freeway Wednesday- Friday. Also driving east on a weekday is kind of backed up.. Your welcome.
The 94 Freeway eastbound is brutal in the afternoon rush ( or was back in the day)
Pedicabs are expensive?!?! On my bachelor party, I hopped in one around the block and my cousin had to cough up the fee 😂😂😂😂😂
Haha drunk truce on a pedicab
@@Jaycation yeah haha I forgot about it, but my cousin sent a video lol
Watch the movie "The Beekeeper" all about scams
2nd......2nun
Yessir
Whaley House
Haunted!
If you think La Jolla stinks from the seal and stuff, bats bathe in their own urine
Haha gross
I love the roller coaster at Belmont Park
I rather make my own burrito and save a whole lot of money and my burrito are good by watching and learning how to make it at food channel.
Nice
It's tough to get the carne asada burrito right
Hey Jaycation.
Do a Balboa Park area with the museums and venues there.
Also, military and Veterans can get special pricing on tickets through ITT travel. There is a couple on Camp Pendleton. They use to ship tickets so find them and ask.
