I just watched 3 of your San Diego videos. As a native San Diegan, I have to say, you hit the spots I'd hit. The Hodads vs Rocky's debate has gone on forever, my two favorite burger spots. Tacos El Gordo is vastly overrated and pricey.
Rockys' burger is excellent one of the best in SD.
You'll love the gaslamp district. So many good places to go there.

Finally someone showed an actual local favorite! Tacos el gordo is prime. Chula Vista locations are the best but downtown is still really good!!! 💕💕💕

I thought that reaction to the burger from Thomas was going to turn into a Charles Dickens novel. Man that looked good - until I saw Sheena's reaction to the taco and began to describe what was inside it. And then the apple pie and ice cream. That was the best eating day out bar none I have witnessed. Thanks guys for a glimpse of food heaven.

Cali cream is a bit of a new one and they are amazing. Also try Ann’s dry cleaning (they kept the name and fashion of the old store but its still ice cream)

I lived across the street from Rockys in the late 80's. Every Friday i would get 2 lunch specials, one for me,one for my dog. Drink both beers while waiting for the burgers. He only git a couple of fries. Total was $10-11 for both plus tip. Also back then Crest Liquor, across the street, had a nice deli counter. Nothing more than $5. Times have changed 😢

We’re heading down there to SD next week and would like to try the cheeseburgers at Rocky’s. But we have 2 kids ages 13 and 11. Will they still let us in the restaurant to eat there? I noticed it’s a pub. So I’m not sure if it’s strictly for ages 21 and over.

Epic food day! I'm very lucky that my little town has a good-sized Hispanic population. While we only have 1 seafood restaurant and 2 pizza places, we have 4 Mexican restaurants. Tomorrow may have to be a taco day! Tonight, since I know better than to click on one of your videos without food in front of me, I made shrimp Alfredo spaghetti. Seeing you enjoy your food made mine taste pretty good. Love seeing you enjoying my old stomping grounds!

Love you, guys. You need to visit Santa Fe, New Mexico...the oldest capital city in the U.S. The food is wonderful and the city is beautiful with unique architecture. Many actors have a second home there. Julia Roberts for example. :D

I’m from Santa Fe and in San Diego right now visiting (not my first time). Although the food here in San Diego is great and diverse, there is NOTHING like NEW Mexican food in Santa Fe or the whole state of New Mexico. I’ve been away less than a week and miss it 😂

U should check out Carls Jr. The double western bacon cheeseburger is hands down the best in San Diego. As far as Mexican food , go to any taco shop in the ghetto and make sure there is graffiti in the hood. As far as Asian food, Clairmont has a bunch. But the best Asian food that's underrated is Filipino Food. National City has the best.

@@ChasingaPlate You're welcome! If you return, best yakitori in San Deigo is Yokohama Yakitori Koubou. You may need to call 24 hours in advance for a table, but its worth it. My japanese friend who lives in Osaka said its top notch. She said the same for ramen at Izakaya Masa and said it reminded her of Osaka!

Thomas, I was yelling at the TV when you turned the taco around and took a second bite from the other end! I've never seen anyone eat a taco like that before! Weird!

@@ChasingaPlate I'm seeing mixed reviews for that area. Did you find it safe walking around? It's not so much the homeless but the pickpocketers and people that harass that I'm concerned about.
We felt we needed to be aware of our surroundings but it didn’t feel too bad. We did lots of walking in that area. Hope that helps. Thomas
