When I first learned of this card when it came out, I'd already determined that my next graphics card would be at a $700 price point and I didn't think the 7900 XT was a good value at $900. I was not at all impressed with the Nvidia 40 series prices relative their specs and performance and just simply waited and watched the retailers until July 2023 when I spotted a 7900 XT on Newegg for $705 after promo code, which I purchased. It's been a huge upgrade from my RTX 3070 (massive upgrade in VRAM for sure) and I've been enjoying all my games at 1440p all settings topped out since then for half a year now. I have doubts that the prices are really going to go down significantly before AMD releases their 8000 series cards which I expect to see in a year or so. There is a lot of enjoyment value people will be missing out on while waiting for the best deal in the universe, enjoyment value that I've had for a mere $6 dollar difference relative to now. Even if the card drops to $600 dollars over the next year, that $100 dollars will be well worth the enjoyment value I've gotten over the person who is going to sit and wait for who knows, another year.
$700 is a terrible price but it’s in a sea of terrible pricing. If we get brainwashing that these are good prices then we’ll be stuck in this sea forever.
I've been eyeing this car since I'm having a hard time finding a 4070 TI super with two HDMI's on it. If this is only a 1440p card ( a resolution that's *useless* to me) then I may as well keep waiting.
I recently jumped to team red for the first time after using GeForce cards for 20 years, RTX 2000/3000/4000 series value proposition was just not doing it for me as a GTX 1080 Ti owner.
You called it, got one for $619 in store in November, seeing them somewhat consistently as low as $639 on Amazon. With AMD abandoning the high end for the next gen, and Nvidia probably flirting with $2,000 on the 5090, the value on the 7900XT IMO looks even better now.
7800 xt is all i need I can upgrade every few years at that price and the card maxes out my 165 htz 1440 monitor for now so when some games start falling under that ill upgrade but for 500 bucks new you can not beat it .
My brother and I just rebuilt our PCs he got a 7900 xt and I'm getting the 7900 xtx whenever a sale hits, since I can wait. AMD do need to do better, but Nvidia don't give a shit about the private consumer and since they have been left unchecked for so many years and their massive growth in sales from other sides of their business, it seems they don't need to.
I was able to pick up a rx 7800xt open box from microcenter $420 usd, upgraded from a rtx 3070 without using RT my fps has double in most games. My Frame per dollar is through the roof lol. The RTX 3070 was picked up back in 2021 for $700 🥴
The sapphire pulse 7900xt 20gb from Amazon? Yes. Worth it. I just picked one up also. 40% off can't beat the price. Just beware... the card is over 12 inches long. I had to move my radiator in order to make it fit.
There is just no way I would pay over $175 for a used GPU with only 8-gb of V-ram. and I wouldn't even consider buying any new GPU that didn't have 16-gb or over of V-ram.
I can confirm the asrock 7900xt is an excellent model. It runs 10 degrees cooler and much quieter than the zotac 3080 it replaced. If you undervolt it’s not even close. Either I lost the silicon lottery on my 3080 or it was just a shit card in general because it did not undervolt well.
as a 3080ti owner, I will just save money to get a 5090 or maybe a 4090 if some day prices go down.... Not really impressed by the performance of this gpu

I have to test it more but for me seems that for me settings that works are : power limit at -10% (225w) , memory at max (2306mhz) and core at 1900/2400 970mV . 21 400-500 in 3dmark timespy ( about 1000 more than stock ) and temps about 10c lower (63c core and 75c hotspot ) with 1100-1300 rpm instead of 1300-1500 .
@@TheGuylooking already asked but no response so i figured it out myself.... Totally different than rx470 undervolting .
I bought a 6950 XT last month which had terrible coil whine and always had stutters, so i returned it. I don't know if i should get a 7900XT now or go back to Nvidia because the 1080ti i had worked without a single problem for like 7 years :/
Why not go 2nd hand, such as 6800(XT), 6900XT and 6950XT for best price to performance?
Because they're not always the best price to performance. Consider the price of 3080's and 3090's for example.
I recently just got a 4070 super fe, and so far it’s an awesome little gpu. It looks soo tiny in my Nzxt H1 v2. lol
I purchased the 7900 XT phantom gaming yesterday for 635
When I first learned of this card when it came out, I'd already determined that my next graphics card would be at a $700 price point and I didn't think the 7900 XT was a good value at $900.
Does it mean 7800xt will drop price soon?
Love the white color of the graphics card 👍 👌 looks cleannn
$700 is a terrible price but it’s in a sea of terrible pricing. If we get brainwashing that these are good prices then we’ll be stuck in this sea forever.
How is it terrible? It performs well and you get 20gb of vram
Only buying it if it comes with Tech YES Lovin'
I see this card and Bolero begins to play in the back of my mind.
any coil whine with this card at 144FPS?
Fyi its 20% off in canada rn for black friday.
has been a while on hearing Bryan talking about the economics
I've been eyeing this car since I'm having a hard time finding a 4070 TI super with two HDMI's on it.
If this is only a 1440p card ( a resolution that's *useless* to me) then I may as well keep waiting.
Just bought Sapphire pulse for 660 on Newegg, so the deals keep coming
Same, I got the white model to match my PC setup. It is a beautiful card and I can't wait to upgrade it over from my 2070S.
In Australia, the 7800 XT starts at $829 while the 7900 XT starts at $1199. Would it be better to get the 7900 XT?
Get the fastest card you can reasonably afford. The 7900xt is about 20% faster than the 7800xt. Do the math
I think the RX 7800 XT is the one to get from AMD for sure!
@@techyescity for sure, its basically a refresh
My brother and I just rebuilt our PCs he got a 7900 xt and I'm getting the 7900 xtx whenever a sale hits, since I can wait. AMD do need to do better, but Nvidia don't give a shit about the private consumer and since they have been left unchecked for so many years and their massive growth in sales from other sides of their business, it seems they don't need to.
I was able to pick up a rx 7800xt open box from microcenter $420 usd, upgraded from a rtx 3070 without using RT my fps has double in most games. My Frame per dollar is through the roof lol. The RTX 3070 was picked up back in 2021 for $700 🥴
700 for the 7900xt is still high price if u ask me
I thought you doing the RX 7900 rabbit edition card ! hehe
Would you recommend to buy a rx7900xt in $499? it’s brand new
The sapphire pulse 7900xt 20gb from Amazon? Yes. Worth it. I just picked one up also. 40% off can't beat the price. Just beware... the card is over 12 inches long. I had to move my radiator in order to make it fit.
@@MoeMan216 today they just canceled my order, did you have any problems like that?

There is just no way I would pay over $175 for a used GPU with only 8-gb of V-ram. and I wouldn't even consider buying any new GPU that didn't have 16-gb or over of V-ram.
I wish that white Asrock was listed at that price... 699 I would take it in a sec.
It’s a beautiful looking card imho
I wish there were more aib options since most are ugly as hell or not as quiet as id want them to be.
Just sold my 6950xt and bought a 7900xt for $550 I’m happy!
as a 3080ti owner, I will just save money to get a 5090 or maybe a 4090 if some day prices go down....
Not really impressed by the performance of this gpu
Still have such a soft spot towards AMD , but for tripple 1440p and VR sim racing Nvida still wins. Specially for iracing . Makes me sad . Love to get a ,7900xtx to replace my 3080
I want to see call of duty. Benchmarks with 7900xt with fsr
i bought one of these for $1149 aud the other day (gigabyte) great card.
Starfield was great on the 7900XTX, I imagine it would be pretty good as an experience on the 7900XT. Avatar wasn't great, Think it depends on the amount of RT you care about.
When it gets to 500.00 I will get one. The price on cards are just BS.
My country did not get the memo, it s still 855 USD / 793 EUR cheapest, damn rip off!
The 7900XT is great!
Similar to the 7700xt 50ndollars difference with thr next higher sku.
Meanwhile in Canada a 7900xt is still over $1000
Do not get a used GPU with 8GB of vram on it for 1440p. Does not matter if the rasterization can handle it. You will be crippled by 8gb of Vram now or real soon for the majority of games!
Too little too late, already bought a used GPU last year, thanks AMD and Nvidia for showing me the way of the used Parts. #ITJUSTWORKS.
7900 XT still USD 1150 where I live 😢
I would love to see how much money AsRock makes or loses selling AMD gpus.
