I'm new to P.C. been studying through you and other resources. Where can I go to build a P.C. that suits around my needs? I'll spend what I have to for reliability and years of upgrades, but I'm not really looking for flashy, just more for study, possibly video calling, and some gaming. My main goal for gaming is to be able to play the shooter games I like with knowing I have confidence in my setup, and I'm not lagging or something due to having outdated materials. Please point me to a website or video so i dont spend unnecessary money for my applications.
How do you work out how much CPU power will suffice? i.e. knowing that you only need one 8-pin..... is there any harm in plugging both in if it's not actually needed? (just to be safe).
Big thanks to Marcus, I built this exact PC 3 weeks ago after watching this video and was in the market for a new PC. All I can advise is if you can fork out the extra bit of £££ for something like a 4070 Ti Super, or any similar spec GPU then go for the NVIDIA. Had nothing but issues with the Radeon 7900 GRE (constant game crashes due to driver time outs). Other than that brilliant video, advice and upbeat mentality from Marcus as always :)
My new system mirrors this build somewhat. Instead of all the Corsair stuff, I've got a DeepCool CC560 V2 case (comes with 4 ARGB 120mm fans), the DeepCool LE520 240mm AIO cooler (ARGB) with a CWT GPX 850 Gold PSU. Motherboard is the Asus TUF gaming B650-E WIFI into which I've dropped the 7800X3d and 32GB of RAM. I'm still waiting for the GPU which is the Sapphire Nitro+ version of the 7900 GRE. The fan cabling isnt as streamlined as yours, but I've got the fans split between 3 different headers, CPU FAN for the radiator, CHA FAN1 for the 3 at the front, and CHA FAN2 for the fan at the back. This is my first ever build without any 2.5" or 3.5" disks.
@@quiet3162 Hi - I did receive the outstanding items and the system has been running for a couple of weeks now. I have to say it's performing very well. Just bought the last 7800x3d i could find at $399 after it going out of stock and all the scalpers trying to gouge the hell out of people. A few months ago i gave my 3070 to my nephew and bought the 675o xt and stuck in my am4 5600x til i got all the parts of my new build. Taichi Lite recently bought to add to my 4gb nvme 4.0 x4, 64gb ddr5 6000 cl30, case, PSU has been awaiting the rest of the system purchases. Tried to pay cash/debit for everything to avoid putting it on credit, was mostly successfully, still need a cpu cooler. My case had to be eatx and front or bottom usb ports etc. I HATE top mounted usb etc.
This is very similar to what I want to build. Truthfully, is it as easy to build yourself as you made it look in the video? Tempted to buy the parts and do it myself to save money but concerned its super difficult.
Great set up. Nice to see a AMD suit. One question... I have the same mobo. Cannot yo the life of me turn off the RGB off the mother board after it's turned off.... which bit in bios do you turn off to address that?
The build I'm running is very similar. only difference is I'm still on am4 with the 5800x3d. paired it with the powercolor red devil 7900gre and a 240mm aio. as sad as it is to say, the only reason I haven't upgraded to ddr5 and the 7800x3d yet is because all of the available rgb ddr5 ram is quite ugly imo. when I find a set I like with good specs, ill upgrade.
Hey bro please tell me if it's fine. Budget is extended already for GPU now so the question is should I scrap the build or go ahead with this(no upgrade) i5 12400f H610 asus prime (really cheap in India. B series mobo is 1.5 time its price) 3200 mhz 16GB RAM NVME SSD C tier PSU 650w 7700XT GPU Will drill holes in a cheap office cabinet for plenty of airflow. What are your thoughts as I need UPS as well so budget is maxed out...
Is it just me or were there multiple points in the video where flickering was an issue? I initially thought it could be something with my monitor but the flickering happens at the same spots while rewinding every time so I think it is an issue with the source?
I’m doing roughly the same build, same motherboard but the cpu power connection is different? This and other videos have 2 8 pins but pictures on their site (and the one i got) are an 8 and a 4 pin?
Saw this vid while looking for a build for my first pc build. Then I see a vid from a year ago about Asus boards making the 7800 x3d chips explode. Now I'm freaking out and wondering if I should have gotten a console instead. Has this issue been fixed, it was a year ago, I dunno I'm new to all this myself. Great vid though, convinced me to give it a go.
Just upgraded my case to a Lianli Lancool 216RW. The 4000D would absolutely have been a better choice....if I hadn't gotten the 216 for just ten more Canadian on some kind of weird unannounced sale on Newegg. But I did, so yay me.
I prefer the Lian LI Lancool 216. Comes with two beautiful LL160mm RGB fans, one rear 140mm fan, an installed hub for normal RGB/PWM, and LL build quality. Gamers Nexus shows it at the top of the charts for CPU cooling also (next to the Fractal Torrent). But you do you. :)
can this case fit a galahad 2 280mm aio top mounted its 30mm thick and the fans are 25 mm would there be enought space for ram and motherboard clearance 😢 plz help
Is the B650E-F now fixed? I just bought the 7800X3D and I read so many post about Asus mobo frying the 7800X3D. And when I buy this mobo in 2024 are the BIOS updated out of the box?
@spooner3452 It's very hard to find Riptide here in Jeddah and Taichi is so expensive. I already bought and built my PC and the B650E-F is performing very well with my Ryzen 7 7800X3D. I updated the BIOS and used EXPO2 so I can run 6000mhz CL 30 RAM. Undervolt the CPU to -30 in the BIOS Curve Optimizer. I can play games at 40C°+ temperature.
So watching your video i saw that you said this motherboard was ready for the next gen stuff... would this one also be the same as that ASUS - ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI (Socket AM5) AMD B650E ATX DDR5 Wi-Fi 6E Motherboard - Black?
I'd go with the 7900 GRE it's faster at pure rasterization most of the time & you get a little extra VRAM as well. Now the 4070 is most likely better at RT. Also, DLSS is the superior upcaller as well. Plus Nvidia seems to be a little better do getting work done like rendering. The 4070 is also better on power. But that 12 GB of VRAM kind of kills any of the pluses the 4070 has at least in my opinion.
Is it a good idea to enable expo or intels version of memory tuning before installing windows? I had a nightmare installing windows when the memory i picked was incompatible at its rated speed, had to back it off 200mhz when i finally figured out the issue 😂
I’ve just bought a rig with this exact setup except it had an RTX-3090 -FE and 5tb of wd black ssd drives ,same case fans Second hand for 1k And it is an absolute monster performing pc

I got a 7800x3d and a watercooled 6900xtxh, gonna wait for rx 8000 then upgrade
Love that mobo. Been eying up this combo for my uprgrade from 5800x3d.. not sure to wait for 9000 series now...
Strong Doctor Who vibes! Thanks for the video mate.
Question..The magnetic fan hub… did it come with the fans? I can’t find one anywhere like that.
Currently saving io for a build very similar cant wait 🙏
If you don't mind cables I actually prefer the Be Quiet Light wings in white. They look amazing, really quiet and cost waaaayyy less than Corsair.
Did you receive the pieces and how is the performance with you because I want to get the same processor and card
@@quiet3162 Hi - I did receive the outstanding items and the system has been running for a couple of weeks now. I have to say it's performing very well. I'm only using it for DCS World at 1440p right now and I'm getting very high frame rates. My son has done a bit of performance tuning for me but it's not been massively overclocked, so there's probably a bit more I could squeeze out of it. More than happy with the set up.

Is it good for competitive games what do you think
@@quiet3162 I can't really tell you yes or no as I'm just a middle aged guy looking at TH-cam for guidance. What I have researched though is if you are wanting to run games that will rely on Ray Tracing heavily then perhaps it wont be the best, and you should look at an Intel card. But on paper it should work pretty well.
@@AndyWraggYes, that's right. Ray Tracing Not good at AMD, but it's dedicated to story games or stamping is not important for competition Games Anyway I liked the joke I am in middle age It was funny and a bit dark 🤣🤣 Thank you 🙏🏼🌹
Great video enjoyed watching & learning from that. I'm looking to build my first PC & what you have here is pretty much in my budget. I want to build it to run Microsoft flight simulator 2020 so I'm wanting to know will this PC rig run MSFS2020 pretty well at high setting? Thanks
My next build wil definently incorporate some of those easy fan configurations. There are way too many cables in my current build
I’m looking to go from console to pc I don’t have much knowledge at all about pc’s let alone building one but I really want to build one myself and tips?
Out of all the cases I have built in the 4000D Air Flow was the best thermals of all of them, even better than 5000D Air Flow with 10 fans. It is still better than the one I have at the moment - NZXT H9 Flow with $900 USD worth of iCue Link fans and 360 AIO. I gave the 4000D to my daughter for her 1st Gaming PC and she loves it
Just bought the last 7800x3d i could find at $399 after it going out of stock and all the scalpers trying to gouge the hell out of people.
I had to uninstall the adrenaline software. It was making a few games stutter like crazy
Did u try which the best driver for stability in all games especially in warzone ? Which one is the best u tested
Great set up. Nice to see a AMD suit. One question... I have the same mobo. Cannot yo the life of me turn off the RGB off the mother board after it's turned off.... which bit in bios do you turn off to address that?
Good stuff, interesting with the HYPR-RX would like to see that with the RX 7900 XTX.
What monitor are you using?
Do I need the Corsair cables or can I go without them?
Not worried for looks atm jus wanna build my first pc and save money (get my last part monday)
Budget is extended already for GPU now so the question is should I scrap the build or go ahead with this(no upgrade)
i5 12400f
H610 asus prime (really cheap in India. B series mobo is 1.5 time its price)
3200 mhz 16GB RAM
NVME SSD
C tier PSU 650w
7700XT GPU
Will drill holes in a cheap office cabinet for plenty of airflow.
What are your thoughts as I need UPS as well so budget is maxed out...
Is it just me or were there multiple points in the video where flickering was an issue? I initially thought it could be something with my monitor but the flickering happens at the same spots while rewinding every time so I think it is an issue with the source?
Nice build. Nice video.
Heck yeah. I literally have the same Motherboard, Ram, Cpu, and Gpu(i have the Sapphire Nitro+ though).
Killer setup!
I’m doing roughly the same build, same motherboard but the cpu power connection is different? This and other videos have 2 8 pins but pictures on their site (and the one i got) are an 8 and a 4 pin?
Would this build be able to handle games like Manor Lord, or newer games like cyberpunk?
Saw this vid while looking for a build for my first pc build.
Then I see a vid from a year ago about Asus boards making the 7800 x3d chips explode. Now I'm freaking out and wondering if I should have gotten a console instead.
Has this issue been fixed, it was a year ago, I dunno I'm new to all this myself. Great vid though, convinced me to give it a go.
Would you be able to fill up all the NVME slots in this motherboard without cutting down the GPU from 16 to 8.
Would it be fine to pair either a 4080 super or a 4090 with a 7800x3D?
Are disc drives obsolete? Im getting back into pc and notice builds don't have disc drives anymore.
dude is like miquella, cursed with youth, forever 14
What is it with the occasional stutters in starfield when frame generation gets turned on?
Just upgraded my case to a Lianli Lancool 216RW. The 4000D would absolutely have been a better choice....if I hadn't gotten the 216 for just ten more Canadian on some kind of weird unannounced sale on Newegg. But I did, so yay me.
Hello sir, love the pc, i have never owned nor built or even SEEN a pc
But would this run red dead redemption 2 well?
I prefer the Lian LI Lancool 216. Comes with two beautiful LL160mm RGB fans, one rear 140mm fan, an installed hub for normal RGB/PWM, and LL build quality. Gamers Nexus shows it at the top of the charts for CPU cooling also (next to the Fractal Torrent). But you do you. :)
can this case fit a galahad 2 280mm aio top mounted its 30mm thick and the fans are 25 mm would there be enought space for ram and motherboard clearance 😢 plz help
could i use
Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 A-RGB cooler instead?
Hey great video mate. I'm using a 7800xt how can I monitor the temps and fps like you have in the video? Thanks
I thought you were only supposed to use PSU cables that come with the PSU?
Hey Markus, you're gonna go crazy by sniffing the new MB like that!😅😊😮
Almost the exact same as what im currently buildings apart from im going with an rx 7900xt also pink and white cost soo much to build around >_
I specd this build for my cousin almost exactly but I chose lian li for the aesthetic because he had a bit more to spend
24:51 amd control panel nice
Ryzen 7 5700x with rtx 3060 12 gb for blender and Adobe after effect ?
Would this be good for VR gaming as well?
Would this be top end to be paired with a sim racing rig?
so is the radeon rx 7900xt better or the GRE? because here in aus the xt costs more and has better specs
Is the B650E-F now fixed? I just bought the 7800X3D and I read so many post about Asus mobo frying the 7800X3D. And when I buy this mobo in 2024 are the BIOS updated out of the box?
I think ASRock Riptide or Taichi are better mobo's overall, but also Gigabyte Eagle mobo is super great for these specs absolutely!
21:50 what do to in this screen ?
So watching your video i saw that you said this motherboard was ready for the next gen stuff... would this one also be the same as that ASUS - ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI (Socket AM5) AMD B650E ATX DDR5 Wi-Fi 6E Motherboard - Black?
Yes AM5 just came out and they just released new AM4 chip.. Am5 just came out and will be around for years
7900gre or 4070 idk what 2 get any suggestions and reasons backing them?
amd is ass, a billion stutters and bad support etc, save yourself the trouble and get a real gpu
