I would love to see a G14 comparison with the 2023 (4060) vs 2022 models
So unfortunate they removed the Ethernet port. Now you have to deal with usb overhead when driving all the traffic through the cpu for translation. Gigabit really makes the cpu hurt, not to mention the lost network speed because of the overhead.
Cool with the new noise profile though, I just ordered one because of it :)
When you were doing this im curious if you had it in hdr or sdr mode for the mini led. Because to me the difference is clear but im just curious if the one on the left was on sdr because if so then i imagine hdr would look even better.
In my opinion, both laptops are worthy base on what exactly you gonna use it for. Especially Gamers and high-end video editors will probably go for 2023 M16. Nice review, you've earned a Sub from me 👍.

Great review!!! I’m thinking to buy one but in my area, the distributor doesn’t have 4080 option, only 4070. I read some reviews and laptop 4070 isn’t that much powerful. How do you see that? My main usage is Ai work, video/photo editing & AAA games only sometimes. Any suggestions? Please!
4070 more or less equals 3070ti performance just adds dlss frame generation 3 technology which may or may not be your cup of tea. Personally I would get the 3070ti on sale or try and find a 4080/4090. If you want a new gen laptop the 4060 is practically just as powerful as the 4070 from what I've seen

quick summary is it really helps limit the resources needed to do the same thing armoury crate does. But if you have other asus accessories that need armory crate to customize then you kind of need the software anyways. Thank you for the kind words, what did you end up going for?

Is this laptop worth it and doesn’t have heating issues like with the heat blowing on the screen? Also would you recommend this or the Alienware m16 4080 with i9 13900HX?
The ventilation toward the screen isn't really an issue it's designed that way. But the 2023 model runs considerably cooler than the 2022. I've never owned Alienware but have heard they're fairly overpriced for what you get
Really great comparison man. You talk about the things that matter instead of a bunch of fluff like a lot of reviewers. I game in bed often so the fact the m16 is quiet and silent are top priorities. The 2023 M16 with the 4080 is really high in my list now. Razed blade 16 with the same card is a candidate as well.

I have bought the x flow 16 which is yet to deliver...i bought the one with the ips screen compared to the mini led ..my use case is watching movies and using the 2 in 1 functionality with the touch pen..as seen from your video the ips and mini led are miles apart :( shall i cancel my order and wait for something else or the ips is also good enough? The flow 16 has the same ips as m16 2022 but with a glossy finish
I think you'll be more than happy with the panel. I think you should keep it especially if you intend to use the 2 n 1 functionality as the m16 doesn't support it. Personally I've never liked getting my laptop screens smudgy but to each their own!
I went with the 2022 model 3070 ti 12900h
it was 300 dollar difference for the 4070+ 13900h
which wasn't cutting it for me
I was impressed with the build quality and design
coming from a macbook pro

the primary reason for switching for me was the app compatibities and support has dropped for m1
the rog is better in every aspect except battery life which is fine for me
not to mention the gpu performance is generations ahead
do you still have a gaming PC or just a laptop pretty much? my ideal setup would be one of these semi-thin and light creator laptops with a nice screen and enough portability to where i can take it around with me, but also come home, plug it into a dock with 2-3 other gaming monitors and just use it as a main PC, saves so much more space than having a tower
I have a PC with a 3080 but it's power is equivalent more or less to my 4080 laptop so I'm just using the laptop now

@@ashzRo it heavily depends on the application, power mode you have it set on etc.
@@StevenMakesVids This guy on TH-cam named Jarod was able to set his m16 to where it was quieter in manual than in turbo but had the same performance? Have you tried messing with the performance settings at all to min/max your noise level and performance
@@ashzRo yeah I love his videos! Personally I have not, performance mode has been more than powerful enough for my needs while being very quiet on the 2023. Definitely something I may mess around with in the future though

Hey I was choosing between the 3080ti model of the m16 and the legion pro 7i 4070 I’m going to okay warzone and mw2 which should I get it’s the same price, also how was the warzone fps on the 3070ti?
i would choose the 3080ti model, 4070 model is the same raw power as a 3070ti. the 3070ti was sitting around 110 without any dlss. But warzone 2 has been pretty broken recently with frames so at this point even with a desktop 4090 you could be gambling with the frames.

It's a worthy upgrade. Only if you can get a solid 3rd party warranty. Blades have a reputation of breaking
Great review but i still cannot make a decision 😢. I have been constantly thinking on which laptop to buy either Zephyrus M16 2022 (3080 ti) or Zephyrus M16 2023 (4070). The problem is in my country the 2022 with that specs costing USD1928 while 2023 is USD2383. I am not a hardcore gamer, the game I usually play is Minecraft with shaders. I usually watch video stream. But i am very worried about the coating on 2022. Do you think it is worth getting the 2023 or 2022 one?
Get the 3080ti. It will give you better performance and as long as you are careful with your laptop you will be fine with scuffs. Worst case scenario you could get a skin.I would only go 4070 in your scenario if it comes witha mini led screen, then that would be worth it imo.

@@insanemaniac650 they both give about 5 hours on igpu. because if you're doing anything with the GPU on battery then they will die incredibly fast

I think that sounds like a great combo
Really on the fence between this and the Razerblade 16. On the one hand you have a better CPU which improves the GPU performance on the other you have a better GPU and Mini LED.
other consideration is also the price. the new blades look amazing but are crazy expensive

Are you able to comment on the battery life of either of these machines? I'm worried that if i want a laptop that can pull some horsepower, i'll have to forgo any usability unless i'm tied to the wall 24/7. I have the 2020 m15 and i'm lucky to get more than two hours of watching youtube on the battery
I have the 4080 model. I get 5-6 hours of battery by not using the dGPU. Using the 4080 I do not get Korean than 3-3.8 hours. Heavy video editing takes 1.6 to discharge.
5 hours roughly on both for light web tasks
Can you please tell us which has better temps on medium gaming and turbo gaming? 2023 or 2022 model maintain better temps?
2023 has better temps all around. It has a 3rd fan

Depends on what you're looking for. For a 16in with that kind of power you could maybe find a great deal on a Lenovo legion. But I'm not a fan of that aesthetic. The g14 6700s is amazing and has been going on sale for 1000

Great content. However, one correction. The 4070 model does not have Mini LED. It has an IPS display at 500 nits (vs the 1100 for the 4080 and 4090 models).
Then the 4070 model is a hard pass imo

I have brought m16 2022 model. It is the best laptop and the game works smoothly the main problem is heating. The armoury crate shows less temperature but when I touch the laptop it feels so hot that I can't keep my hand on the keyboard. Is there any solution to fix overheating
Laptop stand or cooling pad is the only real help for this. Just what happens when you have such a thing laptop with beefy specs

Mini led I think is better than oled. When compared side by side. OLED has the marketing time advantage mind perception advantage.
It's not as good as the mini led. Zero reflection in mini led too.

M16 2022 rtx 3070ti vs M16 2023 4060 which one is the right one for buy now ? If Don't think the price
I would say 3070ti. More raw power and Ethernet. 4060 gets capped at 110W TGP so I would steer away from it and the 4070 this year
im deciding either the asus rog strix g18 4080 or the alienware m16
Never owned an Alienware product so I am biased towards Asus in these two options lol

My asus m16 2022 with 3060 temps go 86 Celsius and they remain like that unless I alt-tab in games like r6s and gtaV... what could be the issue? I have it for like 10 months.. can it be dust in the fans? Even thought these models have self cleaning fan system.. can someone please suggest me what should I look at regarding the hot temps on my gpu? I even use a decent cooler pad under my laptop, but 0 effect.

I believe 86C is well within the realm of safe operation. I'm not sure where you heard these laptops have self cleaning fans but I suggest you open your laptop and clean the fans lol
@@StevenMakesVids 86 is good. But its a bit suspicious that I always had gpu temps of 70-75.. in demanding games. And all of the sudden.. it spiked up to 86 constant.

@@epic4418 personally If you want an M16 from this generation I highly recommend saving for the 4080. At least in the States that comes with the MINI LED display and that alone is worth it IMHO.

The 4070 is loud and hot 🔥 immediately. 4080 appears to be worth the extra $700.00
