Good video. Short sweet and to the point. +1 sub from me. Words of advice from experience, also make sure your drivers are up to date. Hey man, I have Asus M16 2021 which has 8gb ram soldered and (8gb free slot) so i'm thinking of upgrading it to 40gb (8+32), I wanna know is it worth upgrading or not becuase I read online that performance is same.
Depends on what you use it for. There will be a slight bump in some games but if you run multiple programs or video edit/photo edit then it's worth it imo
I’m considering the same @Extrastellar . Trying to become a full time streamer but lately my system (GU603HM) keeps freezing, can’t select anything along the task bar until control alt delete.. been trying to figure out for 30+ hours now (driving me to madness)
I have the same M16 (2021) with the 8Gb soldered and I also added a stick of 32. I found the difference noticeable. I added a 2nd M.2 NVME drive at the same time I added the ram due to using it for heavy video editing and broadcasting. Personally I think it was worth it and it did make a difference. Only wish the 8Gb stick wasn’t soldered in 😂 but is what it is
Is it ok to leave the laptop plugged in for a prolonged period of time, just curious? I did a RAM and SSD upgrade as well. Can notice a difference while gaming for sure. Sweet ass laptop for sure.
@@StevenMakesVids thanks man greatly appreciated. I only plug it when playing games for the performance side of things. Other than that I unplug when it’s not in use. Hey bro so i have a laptop asus m16 2023. I want to ask if the asus m16 2023 laptop supports maximum ram of 4800 or 5200 mhz? and which type should be installed to optimize the machine
I truthfully believe if you get 32gb and then whatever speed you can afford you will be happy with your decision. The difference imo is neglible. The 5200mhz is working on mine and I can definitely recommend it
Hey brother, could you please do a gaming benchmark video of Cyberpunk on everything on max? That would be really helpful, there is not so much gaming info in regards to this laptop, so it would be cool from you, thanks :)
Hey steven you showed the backside off the original ram stick. Do you happen to have the info from the front? Im looking to buy an identical one with the same brand if possible. Thanks.
I have the RAM linked in the description for the RAM I installed. As for the ASUS RAM if you just buy RAM that matches it's clock speed and size you'll be alright
you can open cmd as admin and copy and paste this " wmic memorychip list full " it will provide you the details of the ram that currently install. most m16 machines use a samsung brand.
I was going to get the 5600mhz version of the same ram. I know it caps at 5200mhz but is it ok to get the 5600mhz version? i read that it automatically down clocks
Hey man, I wanted to provide some feedback here. The info you are providing and editing are good but the energy level is depressing. I’m not trying to troll you or anything. I think you would have a lot more subscribers if you made that tweak. Good up the good work.

The way ddr5 works is your single RAM stick is already running in dual channel. I always recommend to match the memory and clock speed of ram so there aren't any issues
