Ya, we just moved, we didn't want to bring our couch, but it was a great couch. We put it up online for cheap, just trying to find it a good home. Every reply wanted this 6 digit code bs. We ended up donating the couch, the lady who ran the donation center fell in love with it (very vintage couch). We just straight up gave it to her. Its getting hard to do real commerce on the internet. Thats like one of the pillars it was invented for! I hope you found the kitty!

On my previous car I decided to get an extended warranty because the car before that was a nightmare in repair requirements. It was bumper to bumper and fully covered it all for 7 years. That damn car didn't break down once! When other extended warranty ppl started calling me to renew whatever warranty they thought I had but didn't have they were pretty stunned too. Only had to move to another city and change all my info on everything to escape that constant attention...

For mass untargeted scams, the website is *probably* minimal-effort so you're *probably* safe. But if you're being spear-phished, they're already putting in a lot of effort to learn about you, so they might well build a decent website. If you typed in all your personal info but didn't hit submit, then I suggest you should still take precautions.

Cursive in particular does similar things to your brain as learning a new language, also improves hand-eye coordination, and makes handwriting neater in general, especially if your print isn't neat. It was made to keep words aligned on a single line as they are written.

We had that sign at Kroger. And the Walmart I worked at after also trained me to tell people about gift card scams and fraud. We also had pamphlets and signs on every cash. I worked at a neighborhood Walmart. Only old people or people on the way from work shop at the green W. So I have asked many times if someone asked them to get the card. Usually you can tell if they were buying generic cards and not the happy birthday ones. Or they're on the phone

There were multiple things wrong with this such as: she knew did not call her Grandma, we called her Grammy and all of us were not over the age of even 10, so why would we be calling her? Anyway, she answered by asking if it was me (I was around 6 at the time) and they replied "Yeah! It's me! Listen, I got into a little trouble in Vegas and need you to send over money." She knew I was like 6 but still replied "What are you doing in Vegas! Your only 6!" and the caller proceeded to hang up lol.

Someone tried to scam me over Steam recently. They were all "I reported you accidentally" because they were trying to say someone using my info scammed them. -_- They wanted me to go to some Discord server or person to talk to "Steam" there. I wasn't any fun and just kept saying "Steam will contact me directly". Googled just to be sure, but yeah, apparently that's happening now.

i just realized something, something i'll REALLY be looking forward to, is when all the people of our current generation finally become old, and i get to watch as the global success rate of scams just instantly drop to zero and we get all these stories of how old people mess with the scammers
one of the rare instances where a problem truly does solve itself on it's own, even if it's going to take awfully long to get at that point, i will be patiently waiting for when it comes
But then, people will think of new scams with new technology which Gen Z doesn't understand.

I don't like paying things online. The last time I used my credit card as a credit card was because the concert venue I was at didn't accept cash.

@13:20 FYI, Clever web developers can save the text you enter into a form while you're typing it. In this case, it doesn't matter whether you hit submit or not, they have your info either way.
For mass untargeted scams, the website is *probably* minimal-effort so you're *probably* safe.
But if you're being spear-phished, they're already putting in a lot of effort to learn about you, so they might well build a decent website. If you typed in all your personal info but didn't hit submit, then I suggest you should still take precautions.

cursive in school, like most useless stuff you learn, is there for brain development. Cursive in particular does similar things to your brain as learning a new language, also improves hand-eye coordination, and makes handwriting neater in general, especially if your print isn't neat. It was made to keep words aligned on a single line as they are written.
I know I am in the minority, but I love cursive. Cursive makes me feel like, "hey, I'm writing like an adult ".

I almost got scammed a couple of times. Once I got a call saying my credit card company (he used the actual name) chose me for a diamond necklace x - D (Omg why didn’t that sound ridiculously suspicious??) We almost got to the part of the actual scam, trying to get me to sign up for overpriced magazine subscriptions. I said no thanks and that I just wanted the necklace. He said no and that I had to also get the subscriptions. I said I don’t read magazines and gimmie the necklace. He said that I had to do at least 3 subscriptions and I said I didn’t want to kill trees and to just gimmie the necklace.
HE HUNG UP ON ME AND I DIDN’T REALIZE THE SCAM FOR ANOTHER HOUR!
We had that sign at Kroger. And the Walmart I worked at after also trained me to tell people about gift card scams and fraud. We also had pamphlets and signs on every cash.
I worked at a neighborhood Walmart. Only old people or people on the way from work shop at the green W. So I have asked many times if someone asked them to get the card. Usually you can tell if they were buying generic cards and not the happy birthday ones. Or they're on the phone

I GOT A SCAM CALL WHILE WATCHING THIS!! XD. It was a ‘You’re electricity provider is going to cut off service’ kind of call so I pressed the button to talk to a ‘representative’ and said ‘I’ll give you $100 if you can tell me the name of my provider’. Immediately hung up XD

When I get a scam call, ive been doing is remaining dead silent for at least ten seconds and then hanging up if there's no response. That way they assume its another scam line for a while
The grocery store I work at has us ask anyone getting a gift card if it's a gift, it's basically so we can feel out if someone is being scammed
Watching this video made me sad, back on my old phone I got tons of scam calls. And it was the highlight of my day. I would think of creative responses in my free time. But now on my new phone I don't get those anymore.
