    Yes I have sat in my drive way, and farted at my neighbours as walk by.
    The reverse noise is so handy, especially in shopping centre car park

      @@chrisvanderstock it’s handy my neighbour has a sense of humour though 🤣. They came and tapped the screen to fart their seat after haha

    Great video Chris, at last a video about Boombox that isn't stupid or annoying. I've booked mine to be installed. I had a near miss with a kid on bike who didn't hear or see the car crossing the footpath while he was on his bike.

    Got it for my Model 3 a couple of months ago. Quite like it, but wish the forward noise could be made more pronounced at very low speeds. Hopefully we'll get some updates.
    Reversing noise is excellent.

      Agreed. I didn't notice at first and then realised only a week later when reviewing the footage

    The forward sound is horrible, you should be able to set the UFO as forward and reverse.

    Thanks for this thorough review. I think I will skip it on my M3LR+'22. I quite enjoy the near silence as I commence driving. Might have to have family conference as to its value as a PWS vs using mirrors and camera to not run in to people.
    Query! Does it play when you have the car doing a light show?

      Excellent question. I’ll give a try and do a short.

    Been playing tricks with my next door neighbour who washes his car every Saturday morning around 9am. I get on the microphone and say wash me, calling by his name wash me.

    Thanks for this review Chris, I think I’ll book my MY in to have it installed. I’m mainly interested in the PWS, one question is it possible to disable the PWS once installed (in the car menu), say coming home or leaving late at night and want to have a stealth mode?

    • @chrisvanderstock
      @chrisvanderstock  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to disable the PWC. Moving forwards its very quiet - shall have to test actual reading, but in reverse, yeah could enough to warrant looks. It’s like a spaceship sound.

      @@chrisvanderstock thanks for the info, one more question, I watched your other vid on sound generators in EVs and you posed a good question, whether the sound emitted when stopped at traffic lights, and compared that to modern stop-start ignitions. Does the PWS continue to emit a sound whilst the car is in drive and braked at traffic lights for example?

    • @chrisvanderstock
      @chrisvanderstock  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, but it's very faint. Like radio white noise.

      That it is - with #fun associated with it. But yeah, not a must have if you have an older Tesla.
