    Its amazing how Tom conducts the interview. He lays back and lets the guy talk and talk and talk. Only comes in with a short question and gives the ball back to the interviewee again. This is amazing. Usually most of the interviewers keep talking in between and that breaks the flow of the interviewee. Great way of handling the interview

    You can tell Simon believes what he is saying on an intrinsic level. When the people clap - he doesn’t pause. He keeps pushing his message. He’s not trying to make grandstands. I love that he mentioned the Glass Steagall Act and the troubling business styles of the 80s and 90s.

    I must confess that till two weeks ago I'd never heard of Simon Sinek. One of my students (I'm teaching English at a private language school in Slovakia, Europe)
    lend me one of Sinek's book and sent me a link to this video (among others). Since then, I've seen more of Sinek's performances on the internet.
    He's just amazing. He's the biggest eye-opener for me since ages. Many thanks to you Mr. Simon Sinek. And maybe even more thanks to my student.

      Hey, that's great! I also recommend you to check Jim Rohn's speeches, RIP. If I may be so bold as to ask a question about English teaching in Slovakia, what do you think about the fluency of English Learners in Slovakia? To explain further, I have studied English for decades and am now working in an International company in aviation; what I observe is that some people from some European countries speak distinctly more correct and fluent English. And as I see it regardless of the persons competency, and I think it is more related to the education they get. May I kindly get your thoughts on this?

    I share the gut feeling with you, I actually had it from the first three months at my old job but I kept telling myself what do you know, who do you think you are. But finally after three years at that job and as I became more self aware, I agreed with that voice and I quit my management position to start my own business.
    Working on my business model, employees were my first concern, so now I'll not hire anyone with a fixed mind set (finite mindset), nor will I accept a client like that.
    Lestining to this interview I couldn't hold my tears knowing that I'm on a right path.

    When I was young I used to think business was just dirty and very plain. People like Simon Sinek and many other great entrepreneurs show that business can be very empowering to the world because they provide value to people, and thinking of business and the infinite game - in a holistic approach - is very inspiring and true.     I used to watch this interview every day in some weeks, while I am establishing our start up, just to remember what it is all about…. As it is extremely hard to establish a start up at these days….. it is very hard, very lonely, and full of uncertainty and unexpected difficulties. I know every company has such a thing, but it is very exhausting when you have scarcity in everything but a cause in your head….
    ... The story of our startup began before more than seven years, when I was wondering about our journey in life, about the story of each one of us. I wondered about us, the seven billion humans that share this world, and even the generations lived before us, I wondered: Would our journeys vanish as our stories might, … and why our stories have to vanish after our time as never existed, as we never lived… why should the laughs, the cheers, the tears … stories of true moments of joy, true sadness, true happiness, stories of love…. all has to vanish. Why a story that meant the whole world to one of us during her/his life has to vanish as never existed, never lived. Why a story that might be the best story that any of us in mankind have ever lived had to vanish. I imagined if everyone wrote her/his story in life and we have the privilege to know their stories, their moments as they wrote them, and to walk with them their journeys, if we can have just such ability. Believing that one day such stories can build a legacy to new generations, as a life can end but a voice can’t die, it is for each one of us to live an infinite life, as our stories will…. at that time, the idea of ‘MyDiary Notebook’ was born.
    After very long two years, we have reached now the marketing phase, which is very challenging one!! Now we have our app & website; Something we wish it will have good impact and grow with our team & our first users! It is all about reflecting, write your own story. It is about you (the user of the platform), but our user still can share some of her/his diaries with true friends; the 30 people she/he cares about. We believe that not all things in life can be said, this is Why any of our users still can have a story or personal reflection on another story and only her/him can see, and can revisit these special reflections anytime in ‘Only me’ page.
    We believe that people from all walks of life should have the ability to share part of their life’s stories, connect with others and walk with them through their journeys. This is why you as user can share one of your special diaries with the world every 7 days and read others anytime. People also can reveal part of their diaries without revealing their identities, express themself freely without afraid of being judged. However, we believe that you ,as a user, might be proud of what you wrote after a while, and eventually write your name on it.

    I'm so happy to see this! Those are my thoughts exactly on how the leaders should see and treat the employees, we grow up taking care of everyone and treating everyone with care like we want the others to treat ourselves.
    Many friends and myself feel it too this needs to change for the better we are all in our late twenties and tired of been treated like mere assets.

    He is so right. I say, the last few guest you have had on your show. Are shaking off dusty thoughts, thoughts that remind me of my earlier years. What's one thing we all had in common as children? We had fun. If, we go back a little farther, we also, were thrill seekers. Having fun while doing something that's exciting. What happened to it? People, employees became like their parents, relatives, friends, and so on.
    You've had four guest who talked about things that I know a lot about, this mindset, this mentality, this behavior I exhibited is a natural state. This state of being is how all of us were in the beginning of our lives. We are all natural born leaders. We were fearless, we were creative, without wanting we had fun with everything we did. So, what happened?
    The way my parents raised me was the best way a child could ever be raised, they new what they were doing. Now, here's the clicker, my older and younger siblings, they were stopped, they were controlled, and this is what parents do with babies learning to crawl, learning to walk and getting into things. The parents are going to set the child's brakes. The child's going to learn about can and can't, the do and don't dos, they are going to learn the words that end with"n't" and so on. Eventually school will continue on with this, in school they will learn about failure, which was also experienced at home. I did not go through any of that.
    It maybe that my parents saw a six year old and not a six year old with a one year old's brain. From age six to age 13, I really had no supervision and there wasn't anything around to fill my head with bad behaviors. My playground was nature. When, I was 13, my education started, in this open state my brain gobbled up knowledge like a one year old exploring the world and this was my behavior with every business I worked for, I had no problem removing up in management.
    Several years back, this crossed my mind. Why aren't there millions of people like me, when, there are only a few. What's stopping everyone from wanting to start a business and without concerns or worry? What stopping employees from wanting to climb the corporate ladder? I think I know what it is. Its a breakdown of the spirit, the soul and if, you believe in the will, that, too.
    Look at what parents do to their children. How they raise their children, even before a child is born the soon to be mother's behavior plays a role in it, too. As I mentioned above, school continues to break the child down, what students do and say and the shows kids watch, all of it [lays a huge role in breaking done each individual. So, do you see the light?
    What do you want to do more than anything, when, you are under a tremendous amount of pressure, stress? You want to get rid of the frustrations, the anger, and going to college looks like it will do that, jumping on the first job right out of high school to move out of the folk home. How many students drop out of school to escape this pressure put on them?
    What are they seeking more than anything? This has to happen are they'll eventually die or kill themselves.

    I love the way he think. He explain every thing that we feel but don’t now the meaning of that feeling. We all have work or are still working for companies that don’t value us but we still do it for the money. I think sometimes the fear is what keep us back to change job and look to work for a better leader. Almost everytime we change a job is when we have reach are limit but then we have already gone over are boundaries. That’s very sad. That we let fear of change rule are life.

    I’ve been really lost lately, I fell off the path, this morning seeing this interview specifically is the sign for me to get back on it.
    Simon was the first motivation/sense full person I found when I decided to make a change for the positive.
    So, as the universe goes, the irony in this today is the sign I needed to get back on the path.

      INFJ and Ni-Fe ( first 2 cognitive functions ) at play. Social grace and feeling into other people.
      He is somewhat full fledged at this point however, compared to the common INFJ. One of 16 personality type in one system of looking at it.
      He incorporated the Ti and Se beautifully. A great inspiration for many, no matter what type of human one is.

      @@zizouboi05 Let me try to explain. Last time Simon was interviewed by Tom the video blew the internet with like 300 000 000 views. I would feel a lot of pressure if I were Simon.
      Yes. Tony Robbins has mentioned if we like a person we automatically copy what the person does. A good actor can do this intentionally.
      When Tom sits down he first sits down with legs open so Simon copies this position. Then Tom naturally change his position to legs crossed and Simon sees this and unnaturally also changes to legs crossed. This unnaturall act causes Simon to appear nervous and dishonest, like his intentions aren't the same as his words. Appearing dishonest may give us the impression Tom doesn't agree with Simon.

    Tom, I honestly had to pause this video to tell you how FKN amazing you are! Hands down best interviews are the ones I watch on impact theory. I love your energy, the way you engage and the amount of research you put in. there is nothing worse than watching an interview when the interviewer hasnt even read that person's book on done the ground work.     Thank you for this! Simon brings up the great point of having the infinite mindset. We are only as limited as we allow ourselves. These type of videos have inspired me to create my TH-cam channel and create content for people who are struggling. I bring in the perspective of a martial artist who can relate mma training to life.     Companies should have all of their leaders watch any interview or speech that Simon gives as it will create a massive shift in their thought process and work together on how to implement the infinite game life style for their organization. This practice will also be a great way to see whose making the shift to infinite way of thinking and who is playing the finite game. We have So much to learn from this brilliant man

    MAN.. I LOVE THIS GUY!!!! ON POINT!!!! TRUST.. the discomfort that we feel is horrible how "non-profit" are worse than for profit! They sell/play the fake game of helping the "poor" but at the end of the day like he said.. Meeting that profit and it you not making it... lay you off! The one's on top getting all those bonuses, 2 weeks vacay but the staff had to struggle to find coverage for 3-5 days!!! ughhh

    Tom, I love your work BUT, this video didn't hit the mark. I was SO excited to see you had Simon on because he is the best and has such a good message. BUT, unlike most of your interviews, you didn't get Simon out of his interview loop. You always do such a good job of getting your guests to say things they haven't said a million times. I've heard pretty much everything Simon said here. On impact theory, the guests develope new ideas, show insecurities and talk through ideas AS THEY CONCEIVE THEM. You make this possible, Tom, but you just sat and let him say his every day spiel. I know everyone has off days, but its SIMON SINEK man. Much love and respect, Travis

    Wow! I read Finite and Infinite Games by James Carse back in 1996 and it fascinated me. I still have the book. At last I see someone implementing the principles found in this book and I am very grateful and excited as well!
