I forgot to heal before the fight so I only had my swampert left. That crazy frog survived 5 of his Pokemon with only ONE HP left. The Metagross sadly set an end to this fight
Dude I remember my battle against this elite four and Steven on my gba when I was 10 years old. That was some legendary shit right there. Pokemon will always earn a place in my heart and I will never forget the great memories from this game!
Reading the PokeSpe manga would maybe change your opinion. I liked Steven and was dusgusted by Wallace before but reading the manga made Wallace one of my favourite characters and the true hidden champion of Hoenn (and making me think this means a lot). :)
Scott Elder But that's more about typing than anything else. Just look at it - dragon and steel types are probably the only types that can be tough enough to give you some hard time if you have a sole-type champion (I'd personaly consider dark and poison type as well but those probably aren't grand enough). That's why Lance and Steven were tough and Wallace not so much. Water is easy to counter and doesn't offer such a variety of double typing combinations. That's probably the reason why since then we've been getting only mixed-type champions if you don't count Iris who was dragon type champ again. :) But after reading the manga I prefer Wallace as a character :)
You're forgetting though that compared to Wallace's full team of Water types, only 3 of Stephen's six are Steel types, and the same is true for Lance. It's not so much that they're hard to counter, it's that they had more type diverse teams, regardless of specialty.
Ah yes, the sound of my Lanturn soloing a champion. Steven set up four rounds of spikes while I set up three rounds of stockpile (I didn't know at the time that crits ignore defense buffs). I was nuzlocking, so at that point I was like "well if I switch pokemon now they'll probably just die." So it's not like I had much choice. Luckily there were no crits. That lanturn has become legendary in my eyes.
I would place this champion theme as a very high A on a tier list, it's an excellent theme that pumps you with adrenaline and excitement but it doesn't reach the level of epicness of Cynthia's theme therefore I give it an A.
Cynthia: -Garchomp use fireblast! Steven: -Ai mds!!! Metagross você está bem? Metagross: -Man relaxa to de boa... Steven: -Ainda bem pensei que você não aguentaria ._.
When Steven is op as hell and he faints all your Pokémon and Groudon is against Mega Metagross; and wins with a Lava Plume, with only 6 hp left. (I still like you Steven; but you were fucking hard as shit)
What? Really? BWAHAAHAAHA. I beat the entire game without thinking about composition or any forethought for that matter, still won. If you really think Steven's difficult, check out the cheating gen 1 champ, with many illegal moves, and Cynthia. Now CYNTHIA is difficult. Gen 4
Steven Stone. What was once one of my least favorite Champion & one of my biggest teenagehood nightmare back in the GBA original now becomes one of my favorite Champions characters if thanks to the rematch he finally deserves. Seriously, his Metagross was my bane of my run during my time of the GBA original & it's much stronger than ever due to it's Mega Evolution. But thanks to my improved Pokemon experience from last time, I was lucky enough to beat Mega Metagross with Lv. 65 Mega Blaziken's Flare Blitz(Lv. 84 Mega Blaziken during the rematch) in one hit. PHEW! As of right now, better than Blue from FireRed/Leafgreen, better than Lance from Heartgold/Soulsilver, better than Alder from Black/White, & heck, far better than the disappointment of Diantha of the Kalos region. Though I still think that Cynthia of the Sinnoh region, Iris from Black2/White2, & even the epicness of Red from Heartgold/Soulsilver(Who was the true Champion & the true final boss of Heartgold/Soulsilver) is a better champion.
The fight came down to my Mega Swampert _My starter my first pokemon the pokemon who'd never let me down_ and his Mega Metagross And i.... Won I was so happy i know its just a game but its a hoenn game and it was my first (i mean ruby not oras)
How long has it been since a great champion theme has been around? this one was great but its missing a bit of the metally piece to it.... 10/10 for dificulty, only person i ever had to use more than 1 pokemon to defeat during the whole game.
Me: ah yes the one true champion of hoenn Random emerald fan: but isn't wallace the champi- Me: *pulls out a shotgun* we don't say that name motherfu****
The first time I played against steven I remembre losing because I didin't know the type of his mega-mettagross xd, then after a lot of attempts xD I win him because my siftry (who didn't know any dark-type attack) killing him with dig xdxd, I didn't have any good attack who was almost effective, (except from dig) I thought mega-,mettagross levitate so I only used dig to try, because I knew it wouldn't hit him, but it did, and I win xd, my mind like, WTF is this bro xd
Yeah..... I almost lost against Steven on my first time because my team was kinda unbalanced, under leveled and I didnt know the types for his pokemon. Yet people say it's easy? Forget everything you learned and tell me how long you last
I'm probably the only one who hates Steven. You beat my ass multiple times in the League, yet you could care less when fighting Team Magma/Aqua?! Not only that, but how in the world did your Aggron one-shot my Lvl. 80 Event Rayquaza?!
The true theme Steven motherfriggin Stone deserves.
No buildup, just goes straight into the action. As if to say, "Ready? Okay, let's do this!"
My fight against Steven came down to my mega Metagross vs his mega Metagross
My swampert clutched you and revived my over leveled mega medicham
My azumarill beat him on 1 HP on my first try
Sameeeee except mine was shiny
Badass scene
I forgot to heal before the fight so I only had my swampert left.
That crazy frog survived 5 of his Pokemon with only ONE HP left. The Metagross sadly set an end to this fight
The best champion in pokemon to me is steven and will always be
+Risan McCoy DIANTHA IS MY FAV BUT I LUV STEVEN
idk wallace was a good character for it to
yea
For sure! Cynthia is a good runner up in my book
Him and Cynthia were the height of pokemon themes
Dude I remember my battle against this elite four and Steven on my gba when I was 10 years old. That was some legendary shit right there. Pokemon will always earn a place in my heart and I will never forget the great memories from this game!
Man, I wish they also made an Emerald remake...
On switch 🤩
One can dream Nintendo would do it. Remade with switch+ level graphics, Frontier Brains, and extras..
Maybe a legends game? Legends Rayquaza? Legends Deoxys?
@@Mike_Hawk_Is_Huge999 ah yes like BDSP?
@@malick9549ah yes the perfect remake... 😒
Listening to this with headphones for the first time and I didn't realize how eurobeat-y this song feels
Ah Steven, the True Champion! not that upitty (but admittedly fabulous) Gym Leader Wallace! as long as there's a different super boss I'm good :)
Reading the PokeSpe manga would maybe change your opinion. I liked Steven and was dusgusted by Wallace before but reading the manga made Wallace one of my favourite characters and the true hidden champion of Hoenn (and making me think this means a lot). :)
Wallace is the one champion in Black 2/White 2 in the PWT that I never lose to so I automatically think less of him :L
Scott Elder But that's more about typing than anything else. I'm guessing that in OR/AS Zinnia is the super boss
Gym leader battle and elite four battle theme merged into one with some final modifications added to fit champion battle theme, it’s just so perfect
thank god I picked blazekin
The sweet sound of Zangoose giving Steven an absolute nightmare of a time! Good boy Zangoose. Great now I need to play this again!
Ah yes, the sound of my Lanturn soloing a champion.
Steven set up four rounds of spikes while I set up three rounds of stockpile (I didn't know at the time that crits ignore defense buffs). Delta Emerald is just a dream
Mega Metagross sweating bullets after watching my Sylveon tank 3 meteor mashes in a row and living thanks to love
I remember in pokemon emerald not knowing about Steven being the bonus battle. Literally talked to him just to be like why do I hear boss music lmao
00:42 cradily dancing around
Cradily Boogie
I like it, but nothing beats his PWT theme.
Guys Steven isn't the champ anymore we are!
+Sky Does Zelda I agree we are so powerful than him
+Sky Does Zelda Hopefully ill get this good champion theme!
YASSSSSS CATCH ALL THE POKEMANS!!!!!!!!!!!!! MEGA RAYQUAZA
what
+Sky Does Zelda yasssssssssssssssssssssssss YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
If I could have a song for every time I walked into a room, I would choose either this or the Primal legend song
reminds me of those times i use to battle my brothers in Gale of darkness.
I came because of that Instagram girl that recommended this song to study.
Steven with his whole team : Who the hell are you ??
9 year old me and Primal-Groudon :
*death !*
I would place this champion theme as a very high A on a tier list, it's an excellent theme that pumps you with adrenaline and excitement but it doesn't reach the level of epicness of Cynthia's theme therefore I give it an A.
The true champion of Hoenn !!
That theme is so cool it's the one I ear when I put my 3ds on
(Yeah I have that theme)
Cynthia:
-Garchomp use fireblast!
Steven:
-Ai mds!!! Metagross você está bem?
Metagross:
-Man relaxa to de boa...
Steven:
-Ainda bem pensei que você não aguentaria ._.

+Euan MacDonald When does the gen 1 champ cheating? I often won against him in the original editions without problems...
Euan MacDonald I restared the game again because I was bored not playing any Pokémon games-
Anways laughing in text isn't funny-
Eragon3621 He has a few illegal moves.
+Euan MacDonald For example?

Won

Champion Wallace Sent out a Gyarados!
Go Electrode!

Play through with EXP Share turned off. Unless you grind you'll be around 10 levels under him, try using one Pokemon then..
t0rchicPlays bruh I had it on the whole time and was still 10 levels below him lol
Idk, Cynthia's theme was badass
Thorkon Amperius +1
Thorkon Amperius dead it was bad ass because she's bad ass especially her now mega garchomp
I wish stevens metagross was a shiny like in the series, the first (maybe) npc to have a shiny
steven pulled out his metagross which is steel psychic and i pulled out blaziken and no u'd his ass
And suddenly, his Mega Metagross outspeeds your Blaziken and destroys it with Zen headbutt
Intense earthquake spam
Steven: *Laughs in Claydol Levitate*
Me: ah yes the one true champion of hoenn
Random emerald fan: but isn't wallace the champi-
Me: *pulls out a shotgun* we don't say that name motherfu****
That Metagross.. that dang Metagross..
DAIGO
on my first try
The Pokemon black2/white2 version of this song was much better :/
TouchyBanana hopefully d/p/pt remake sees the light so we can enjoy the good songs in 3d :)
Really, because I am kind of the opposite. PWT for Hoenn was pretty meh, it wasn't terrible, just didn't really flow for me.
Both Gym Leader and Champion theme that is.
Best songs i've heard in b/w2 were: Steven's theme black/white kyurem theme getsis and N's theme and the route just before the victory road :)
***** Dennis! Dennis! Dennis! Boooooooooooob!(read as Bob)
Everytime i play OR again i just OBLITERATE his MegaMewtwoX
The first time I played against steven I remembre losing because I didin't know the type of his mega-mettagross xd, then after a lot of attempts xD I win him because my siftry (who didn't know any dark-type attack) killing him with dig xdxd, I didn't have any good attack who was almost effective, (except from dig) I thought mega-,mettagross levitate so I only used dig to try, because I knew it wouldn't hit him, but it did, and I win xd, my mind like, WTF is this bro xd

Trey Shyguy type advantages duh like everyone uses those from the start of pokemanz
Chui Alvin I know that, but the Aggron only survived with Sturdy. It should have been taken out instantly.
My shiny mega metagross against his non shiny mega metagross
OH YEAH THIS IS THE SHAT MAAAAN 10x BETTER THEN GBA AND TRUST ME I KNOW I PLAYED THAT SHAT LIKE 15 F#CKING TIMES
Best part 0:40-1:00
Sigo pensando que el remix de pokemon blanco y negro 2 suena mejor XD
Plubbio le gana
I beat him first try
It's good but the one in BW2 is better
I hink this theme is a bit too intense. It doesn't fit his personality.
Forgettable...and the battle was sooooo easy...and my Pokemons were like 5-10 level under his.
