Here's my attempt at making Diantha's "Ultimate" Team, exported from Pokemon Showdown: Gardevoir-Mega (F) @ Gardevoirite Ability: Trace EVs: 248 HP / 148 Def / 112 SpA Quiet Nature IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe - Hyper Voice - Psyshock - Shadow Ball - Trick Room Tyrantrum (M) @ Choice Band Ability: Rock Head EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def Brave Nature IVs: 0 Spe - Head Smash - Outrage - Earthquake - Dragon Claw Aurorus (M) @ Never-Melt Ice Ability: Refrigerate EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD Quiet Nature IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe - Hyper Voice - Freeze-Dry - Ancient Power - Stealth Rock Gourgeist-Super (F) @ Leftovers Ability: Frisk EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD Relaxed Nature IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe - Toxic - Synthesis - Leech Seed - Foul Play Goodra (F) @ Assault Vest Ability: Sap Sipper EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 56 SpA / 36 SpD Quiet Nature IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe - Dragon Pulse - Flamethrower - Surf - Thunderbolt Hawlucha (F) @ Sitrus Berry Ability: Unburden EVs: 76 HP / 252 Atk / 180 Spe Adamant Nature - Substitute - Acrobatics - High Jump Kick - Swords Dance The Strategy: Since no one would expect it in a "competitive" setting, especially in Singles, lead with Gardevoir and set up Trick Room. Now all of Diantha's Pokemon are "fast" and go first almost all the time, and you're opponent (hopefully) took the bait and switched into a counter Pokemon to your "hyper-aggressive Lead Sweeper" Gardevoir. The EVs are for in case the enemy doesn't fall for the bait and just attacks you with whatever Pokemon they have out first. Tyrantrum is your Wall Breaker, with Choice Band STAB Head Smash and Maximum Attack investment. With Trick Room, he's an absolute monster. Not much else to say, have fun deleting other Pokemon. Aurorus has Refrigerate, which turns Hyper Voice into an Ice type move with 108 Power, which gets further boosted by the Never-Melt Ice. Freeze Dry is used against Water Types and is also boosted by Never-Melt Ice, Ancient Power gets boosted by STAB to 90 Power and is used for the potential Scum Boost, and Stealth Rock is for if you have an opportunity to set them up. Goodra has Assault Vest to make her super specially defensive, and the moves are selected to provide as much type coverage as possible. There are no Pokemon that resist all of the moves, except Mega Alteria. The EVs are for complicated reasons, but the gist is that they allow Goodra to survive attacks from big threats in the metagame, including 2 Moonblasts from Tapu Fini, a Tectonic Rage from Garchomp, or 2 Smart Strikes from Kartana. Gourgeist is running a physical defensive set, with max Defense investment, Toxic to use against other walls, Synthesis and Leech Seed + Leftovers for recovery, and Foul Play to use against Physical attackers, which gets more powerful the higher the enemy attack stat is. Will-o-wisp over Toxic could be considered because it cuts enemy Attack, but it unfortunately has anti-synergy with Foul Play, so it's up to your own personal preference. Once Trick Room expires, use Hawlucha to clean up sweep. Switch Hawlucha into a Pokemon it checks, like a Chansey, then use Substitute as the enemy Pokemon switches out. Use this opportunity to use Swords Dance, while the enemy Pokemon breaks your Substitute. Once that happens, use Substitute Again to activate your Sitrus Berry, and Unburden. Congratulations, you now out-speed every other Pokemon in the game. Have fun. An alternative set for Hawlucha uses Sky Attack and a Power Herb instead of Substitute and a Sitrus Berry, but it's really up to personal taste. I prefer Substitute, as it helps set up the Swords Dance, but if you find yourself running into lots of Dragapult w/ Infiltrator, then consider using the Sky Attack Power Herb set instead. If you noticed, I didn't include a Z-Move on this team. That is simply because there are no Pokemon on this team that can really take advantage of a Z-Move without sacrificing something else, like Goodra's Assault Vest, and I couldn't decide for myself where to put one, so I just left it as it is. I'd Imagine the best Pokemon to put a Z-Crystal on would be Aurorus with Icium Z, but I'll leave that decision up to whoever decides to try using this team. In any case, if you decided to read this far, thanks for taking the time to do so. I hope you have a good day, and good luck in your future Pokemon battles. :) EDIT: Fixed some spelling mistakes.
Wow, this is great! Good job ^^ , but there's something that bothers me Isn't starting with her main Pokemon and mega-evolving right from the start a bit weird? Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of her Gardevoir leading the team with Trick Room, but wouldn't be better if she started with Gardevoir, uses Trick Room and inmediately after changes to another pkmn, only mega-evolving when Gardevoir is her last mon? I know that could be a bit complex but hey, dreaming is free ;)

YES! I'VE ALWAYS WANTED A "REMASTERED" VERSION OF XY THEMES! Diantha is my favorite Champion. Her team is the most diverse & cool {Despite the low difficulty}. This is what I have been looking for, & now I have finally found it. Please Bliitzit, please make more of these. I still for Kalos post game in Sword & Shield. If not, then I'm also hoping for X2Y2, or whatever they would call the 2nd version(s).
"Do you remember Diantha?" "Who?" "Diantha, the Kalos league champion." "... You mean Mega-Gardevoir?" "She used a Mega-Gardevoir." "Who did?" "Diantha!" "... Who?!"
@@ishthewall1915 She isn't the worst, she just isn't the strongest. Fun fact, though, her team has the highest level Pokemon of any initial champion fight.
Mudkip difficulty in Pokémon games don’t come down to a trainers level compared to previous hames, but to how much experience is available easily in game. This is the first champion I’ve ever had absolutely no trouble taking down with my starter alone. I had 4 other leveled up Pokémon, but my chestnaught alone took her down. Even lance made me use two different Pokémon.
She's my most favorite Champion, and a true and better Champion than the rest. She fits the part, looks the part, has colossal and rare pokemon that fit the part of champion. And her theme just uplifts your soul entirely and makes you realize, you're on the big stage now, now's not a battle, but your time to shine, and she wants to see that. This is not a test, this is a judgement. But she's not going to let you waiver in the spotlight, she's going to take you down. And she's so beautiful too, elegant and serene. A champion who's involved in her own personal life.
I really like Diantha’s team, design and aesthetics. I think she was a really good champion... Unfortunately, she was undermined by her lack of presence in the game’s story and the fact that the XY games are incredibly easy If they made the levels on her Pokemon higher and made her team have better move sets, then I think she could be on par with champions like Cynthia and Steven
First played this game when I was 9: It was my first. Looking back on it, it was painfully easy, but the story, region and this battle alone made it all worth it. Plus, back then I was bad enough that this battle was actually challenging, which makes the memory that much better.
I'll be honest XY was my first of the Pokémon games and while my 11-year old self at the time didn't really have trouble beating the game, it was pretty fun. I still remember going back to GameStop and getting White 2 and Diamond. ❤ (Even though I haven't actually gotten to play either of them much since then lmao)
I honestly love Diantha, her team and her battle theme. Pokémon X was my first Pokémon game so I really love all of the characters. It’s such a shame that the game wasn’t really a challenge, that one reason is why this game got so much hate. I know, one day, we’ll get remakes and it will be a challenge. I just love the Kalos region so much and if it was challenging and had interesting rivals then it would beat Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, which is currently my favorite Pokémon game and was also my second Pokémon game. I truly love Kalos so much, and I hope that if we get remakes, we get more of a challenge along with less rivals and new ones with more character development.
I feel like Pokemon games shouldn't be judged on difficulty. Pokemon games aren't meant to be difficult, due to being targeted to a younger demographic. I just really, really hate it when people hate on games because they aren't hard.
They where my first games to i had a save file with well over 600 hours clocked in and i agree i adore these games but i wish they where a little harder not that much harder but enough to be a bit more chalanging and the rivals where a bit to one dimensional id be fine if they brought back them back for remakes as long as they get more development and id love a bit more to do in post game but those are really my only problems with the games they still are amazing to me even tho I've played the older games as well
That one random person Mhm. There are so many cool features that would fit well with the games. If we get remakes, we need more of a challenge, interesting rivals and unique features that will make the remake stand out! For example, I know ORAS was back in gen 6, but... even though the remakes are easier than the original games, they added so many amazing features, like brining mega evolutions to Hoenn, flying on Latias/Latios, DexNav etc.
@@abandonedaccount6424 I think y was my first game and I love it I think it's the best region but ye the first time I played it it wasn't to hard but when remakes do eventually come I hope they are loads of new features and make it a bit harder but not like Cynthia's garchomp hard just make it harder then it was and if that does happen on the switch I'm definitely buying it and kalos gets to much hate for being to easy when the games are supposed to be for kids
Gotta say Bliitzit your remixes never fail to impress. I use your songs when I'm battling my friends online that give me a challenge so that way I stay pumped throughout the battle.
I remember when Diantha's theme was leaked. I was in 8th grade, and my friend and I really loved it. Definitely one of the best champion fights and themes ever released.
Why is Diantha so easy Her team is full of fantastically strong Pokémon with good moves Her levels should be about the same as yours So why is she such a cakewalk???
I've always loved Diantha's theme and design but i wish she was much more challenging especially since they made her very op in the anime i beat her first try and my first pokemon game was X
This is something everyone should hear! You really took everything banging from the original and erase "plainness", the major problem with XY music. Bravo! And thank you for giving justice to Diantha!
TBH I wasn't too sold on your remix and didn't think it was necessarily better than the original. But now... Now you've turned it into one of the best Pokémon tracks ever, period.
Here's what each champion battle says to me: Gary/Red/Lance: "This is it. The battle of your life. No turning back now." Steven/Wallace: "Let loose everything you have, you'll need it." Cynthia: "Do not hold back, because I won't." Alder: "Good luck kid, and have fun!" Iris: "Wheeeeeee~!!" Diantha: "One last big push, and fame and fortune will be all yours, but I don't intend to give it up!"
This was what they said to me: Gary: The climax of the rivalry is RIGHT NOW! Lance: I am the final boss! And I am going all out! Show me the culmination of your strength and struggles throughout your adventure. Steven/Wallace: (Kinda bland when compared to others, but this one makes me feel it's highlighting the complexities in the battle) Cynthia: SOUNDS OF THRASHING, SQUEEZING AND CURBSTOMPING... Alder: Let's have a battle with fun, Okay? Iris: My sentiments and enthusiasm are space-high right now!!! N: THE DECISION TIME HAS COME!!! Diantha: Show me your strength and style! Be energetic throughout, okay? Kukui: You have already won. Leon: (another bland track, but in short focuses on stadium imo) Geeta: We're in Spain! Keep your spirits high, and let's jump in! Nemona: IT'S ALL FUN! WHO CARES ABOUT THE VICTORY?
I love her. Its sad how she isn't that challenging (except if you're playing x and y or pokemon for the very first time) but i genuinely adore her character and theme
S passer P how do you know? For the 25th anniversary they would be idiots to not do platinum remakes. Platinum is better than DP, so I want DPPT remakes not just dp remakes

Ok so I beat Diantha and the elite four and I gotta say: that was fun as hell. I intentionally had my team underleveled to make it harder, afraid I wasn't gonna enjoy it much. I actually LOST to Malva on my first attempt, then lost the first time I got to Diantha cuz her Gardevoir destroyed me, then lost to Wikstrom due to a poor decision. Upon replaying this admittedly flawed game (hell I was aware of that even back then), I'm glad my adoration for it wasn't misplaced.
@@jabariewaters2539 I used NO healing items and played on set mode. If you mean against the league, usually I could get them back down to where they were, AND have them spend a turn healing a less dangerous Pokemon. But their healing sometimes did throw a wrench in my planning if my attacks missed. Sometimes they also crit me and I ended up KO'd or too low to stay in either because I couldn't outspeed, or because the damage range was too uncertain. Diantha's Gardevoir destroyed me lol. It was during this playthrough I learned she has 4 full restores. I don't fully remember what happened but it came down to my Delphox barely living a Shadow Ball due to an earlier sp atk drop AFTER the rest of my team was KO'd chipping away at her.
This is my second most favorite trainer battle theme so seeing Bliitzit keeping most of the theme very similar but also making his own and appreciable changes made my day.
Ugh love this theme sooo much thanks for this!!! I could analyze different parts of it for hours, but I’ll pass for now :) Just wanted to say that I agree with everyone else about how easy the battle was and I wish it was harder. I see 2 reasons for it being easy: 1) the Exp share was BROKEN in this game (I mean... I think Diantha has the highest level Pokémon of any champion, but that was trivialized by the exp share) and 2) her Pokémon. I mean... besides mega gardevoir which is amazing and a great fit for her, it really seemed like they just gave her filler mons that they couldn’t fit elsewhere in the game but needed to force you to see to fill out the seen portion of the regional Pokédex. Otherwise, for example, you would’ve never seen the evolutions of the fossils, so they gave them to Diantha. Whelp, Rest In Peace Diantha, hopefully one day you’ll get the respect you deserve.
How could someone make such god tier of music? Oh wait it’s Bliitzit. This is such a better remix of Diantha theme. Sounds similar but has that extra tone in it to differentiate it. Also this is something else that I liked about these videos, the thumbnails looks so good and especially the unofficial music.

I am also greatful they made her ai easy at first since pokemon y was my first pokemon game as a lil kid and was great for a begginer like me but now i kinda wanna see her get a lil more respect on her name since shes always hated on for being easy which was the point as game for a new generation of lil kids at the time.

I remember forgetting Gardevoir's type during this battle and I was scared to search it since I knew what the internet had done to Gardevoir. I was stressed out of my mind ;-;
I forgot too. I thought Gardevior was pure psychic so I switched in my Aegislash in to shadow sneak it. But it used moonblast which reminded me it was fairy. So I just used iron head instead.
Well all I can say is in the anime, diantha’s gardivoir just has evasiveness +5 at the start of every battle. X and Y was the first Pokemon game I ever owned and tbh this champion was a ream push over
What her team SHOULD have been: Greninja: Timid Protean Focus Sash Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Dark Pulse, Spikes Goodra: Modest Gooey Assault Vest Dragon Pulse, Sludge Bomb, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt Talonflame: Adamant Gale Wings Sky Plate Brave Bird, Flare Blitz, U-Turn, Roost Gourgeist-XL: Careful Insomnia Sitrus Berry Leech Seed, Phantom Force, Trick or Treat, Will-o-Wisp Aegislash: Quiet Stance Change Leftovers Shadow Ball, Flash Cannon, Shadow Sneak, King's Shield Mega Gardevoir: Timid Trace Gardevoirite Hyper Voice, Psyshock, Shadow Ball, Focus Blast Yes I am aware I put a starter, yes I am aware that Aegislash overlaps with the knight guy, no I don't care because they all need an overhaul as well.
There is no problem in the case of starter as Kanto champions Blue, Red, Lance and Trace have one of the Kanto starter trio in the games they are champions
When I was a younger lad, who had just started playing Pokemon for the first time, and I beat Diantha on the first try without any of my Pokemon being knocked out, and I thought I was a Pokemon veteran. Then I realized that she is just really easy Xd

The Strategy: Since no one would expect it in a "competitive" setting, especially in Singles, lead with Gardevoir and set up Trick Room.
EDIT: Fixed some spelling mistakes.
Ur a virgin please stop
Wow, this is great! Good job ^^ , but there's something that bothers me
Isn't starting with her main Pokemon and mega-evolving right from the start a bit weird?

Gotta love her shes a great champion and this remix does her justice.
She’s literally the worst champion, I beat her with one of my Pokémon, and it didn’t even drop down to half
She does have an awesome theme though
yeah she is pretty much the worst
Unfortunately, she was undermined by her lack of presence in the game’s story and the fact that the XY games are incredibly easy
If they made the levels on her Pokemon higher and made her team have better move sets, then I think she could be on par with champions like Cynthia and Steven
Team i cannot say except Gardevoir
Her team does require modification
They shouldn't had given her both fossils
I like this theme a lot more than her original. The music is beyond incredible and dramatic. Very beautiful and captivating.
(Even though I haven't actually gotten to play either of them much since then lmao)
Pokemon X is still the first main line pokemon game i played but i actually played the demo for OR/AS first and i am currently playing thru ruby
My first too I started playing on my tenth birthday and I'm nearly 17 now
@@WillJay1738 Nice
tbh the musics in x&y are legitly badass
*music & *legitimately
But yes, XY's OST is gorgeous, & severely underrated.
I like it! Diantha may have not been the toughest champion but in my opinion, by far the best theme!
People also say X and Y “HaD a BaD sToRy”
Team flare is fucking awesome
Will Legends Z give Diantha a worthy rematch?
I really hope so! This would be wicked awesome!❤
Gotta say Bliitzit your remixes never fail to impress. I use your songs when I'm battling my friends online that give me a challenge so that way I stay pumped throughout the battle.
Glad to hear that broski, thank you! :)
I remember when Diantha's theme was leaked. I was in 8th grade, and my friend and I really loved it. Definitely one of the best champion fights and themes ever released.
Why is Diantha so easy
Her team is full of fantastically strong Pokémon with good moves
Her levels should be about the same as yours
So why is she such a cakewalk???
Because while most of the pokemon aren't bad by themselves, they share too many similar weaknesses when placed on the same team
If only Pokemon Company would just go and add difficulty modes... Hell, they could insert their own nuzlocck-gamemode.
YES!!! Amazing job dude, I love this champion theme, more than most people (it’s my second favorite champion theme, Stevens theme is my fav)!!!!

TBH I wasn't too sold on your remix and didn't think it was necessarily better than the original.
But now...
Now you've turned it into one of the best Pokémon tracks ever, period.
Diantha: I am the champion!
Me: *WAS* Champion
Here's what each champion battle says to me:
Gary/Red/Lance: "This is it. The battle of your life. No turning back now."
Steven/Wallace: "Let loose everything you have, you'll need it."
Cynthia: "Do not hold back, because I won't."
Alder: "Good luck kid, and have fun!"
Iris: "Wheeeeeee~!!"
Diantha: "One last big push, and fame and fortune will be all yours, but I don't intend to give it up!"
This was what they said to me:
Gary: The climax of the rivalry is RIGHT NOW!
Lance: I am the final boss! And I am going all out! Show me the culmination of your strength and struggles throughout your adventure.
Steven/Wallace: (Kinda bland when compared to others, but this one makes me feel it's highlighting the complexities in the battle)
Cynthia: SOUNDS OF THRASHING, SQUEEZING AND CURBSTOMPING...
Leon: (another bland track, but in short focuses on stadium imo)
Geeta: We're in Spain! Keep your spirits high, and let's jump in!
Nemona: IT'S ALL FUN! WHO CARES ABOUT THE VICTORY?

If you play X and Y without items and on set mode this fight is actually very challenging.
I'm actually going through itemless on a playthrough atm so I'll see
There have been a couple of tough fights so far
Ok so I beat Diantha and the elite four and I gotta say: that was fun as hell. I intentionally had my team underleveled to make it harder, afraid I wasn't gonna enjoy it much.
I actually LOST to Malva on my first attempt, then lost the first time I got to Diantha cuz her Gardevoir destroyed me, then lost to Wikstrom due to a poor decision.
Upon replaying this admittedly flawed game (hell I was aware of that even back then), I'm glad my adoration for it wasn't misplaced.
@@djroscurro9859how did you deal with healing and such
@@jabariewaters2539 I used NO healing items and played on set mode.
The intro of the song sends chills down my spine every time.
Ugh love this theme sooo much thanks for this!!! I could analyze different parts of it for hours, but I’ll pass for now :)
Just wanted to say that I agree with everyone else about how easy the battle was and I wish it was harder.
Love the remix man! It sounds Awesome as well! Love your mashups and your content!
How could someone make such god tier of music? Oh wait it’s Bliitzit. This is such a better remix of Diantha theme. Sounds similar but has that extra tone in it to differentiate it.
