  • Metropolis Ark Ø is out now, details here. www.orchestraltools.com/store...
Nothing beats the epic power and expressive beauty of a large orchestra playing as one. Metropolis Ark Ø finally realizes this vision. It presents the prototype orchestra-the original idea that gave birth to the now iconic Metropolis Ark series. Designed for simplicity, these big sections sound truly monumental. Metropolis Ark Ø offers a fast, fun way to compose dramatic and highly emotional orchestral music.

Wow, what a nice approach to sample library creation, especially voicing and inversions.

It's great sounding.....chords and their inversions in the next octave makes for some creative chord progressions I would previously not considered.

Great sound! However, seems like a missed opportunity to make the first "legato orchestra" - sustains are simply too limiting...

You guys should consider going beyond the normal standards. For example, what if SINE could play Unison and Divisi automatically? If I press one note, 4 French Horns play that 1 note in unison. But if I press 4 different notes into a chord. Poly legato will distribute them into divisi notes. Same with all articulations. This will simulate the realest feeling of an orchestra. That way I do not have to write four different parts all the time and overload my PC.

Thank you for the feedback and the suggestion, we appreciate it.

While this would be a good idea for usability, it's not likely to prevent your PC from overloading. It's still going to have to load all separate samples for all divisi, still going to run legato scripts for all of them, and splitting voices is even more overhead.

@@pixelcat_yt with Berlin Brass, Berlin Woodwinds, and Glory Days they have Divisi already. In the context that you can use them by opening 3-4 instances of legato of the same instrument. In Kontakt, I did what I just said above via a Kontakt script which doesn't take up any extra space. So I would have to disagree on that. I can show proof of it as well.

@@pixelcat_yt the whole point I'm trying to make. As for those who have strong computers, you can at least also give the option to be able to utilize our strong computer capacity. For those with weaker computers, you can continue doing the exact same thing that you can do right now with ensembles. They do have options for both parties in their instruments. So to be honest I don't see the problem.

@@DesoloZantas Yeah I explicitly said it'd be a good idea for usability. I just disagreed with your initial statement that it'd be lighter on your PC.

oooohhh... boy that was a bummer. Well spotted. How did they let that out or was his modulation wheel falling off?
