    David, wow! The full sound of your orchestration, the organic feel of the chord changes and rhythm, the room mix. This is crazy beautiful!

      Hehe... I definitely wouldn't mind...
      (Actually, I'm currently envisioning a scene, many years in the future, where I'm sitting at some kind of social gathering, with people raising their eyebrows slightly, because I just said something like: "Yeah, that David Kudell guy... I already knew him even way before he scored 'Spider-guy far away from the multiverse'.... Well, not personally, but I used to comment on his TH-cam videos.") 😉

    One thing thats is alway evident in library demos is how the dynamics are always stacked at the loudest through out. Even when quieter passages are playing the dyanmic sample played still sound fff only just with the volume down.
    As a brass player i always like to hear how libraries sound at p, mp and f. As that is where orchestras play at most of the time. Even in bombastic sections we rarely play at the very loud as you always have to leave something in the can in case the conductor needs it. Even in brass ensambles ive played in your not at that overloud pushed playing style for a whole piece.
    I get it that the loudness wars have now got their grips firmly into sample libraries but for realism and great sounding libraries they need to sound great and real at P, MP MF and F. A great library demo will shine when the dynamics are used properly.

    I love this piece. Can you tell me do any of the ark products have any solo violins and cellos. If not could you recommend a library that would fit with the arc? What is the difference between the 2 & 5? For subtle emotional drama 2 or 5?

    Hi David. Great work. I have 2 questions. How long did it take to put this track together from concept to final touches?
    I am about to buy the whole collection and the only question which comes up all the time is how to achieve separation between section in the traditional way of orchestral setup? For example high strings are traditionally sitting on the left however in here they put 6 on the left 6 on the right basses left and right and celli in the middle or there was a patch where the deli was on the left. If I just write for strings would you just pan them or they just blend well together without getting muddy? Of course I am aware of how to create separation via different timbre articulation etc but I thought I ask cause looks like You worked this out already. Your work sounds great.
    Cheers

    • @DavidKudellMusic
      @DavidKudellMusic 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Atilla, on this one it was about 3 full days from blank daw to final mix. The writing time varies based on how fast the ideas come to me. Tracks like this I find are a little harder than writing to picture because there’s a blank slate. That’s why I invented a story as a guide to write to.
      As for your second question, I never really think about the panning, and it somehow works out. All the Orchestral Tools libraries are recorded in the same Teldex stage so the sound is very consistent and I find it’s the perfect size of stage so the room sound is not too big or small, it’s just right. The more you use their libraries you really start to identify the Teldex sound. In my writing for scores I often blend the Ark libraries with my other libraries and they blend just fine.
