Thanks for sharing your emotional firework in a real masterpiece! I especially like main theme parts starting at 1:14 and 2:38. You have created a very nice contrast to that with the parts around it. Like that the main theme parts become a pure pleasure! Heroic uplifting pure epic power! Real music! Thank you for that!!!

This is a masterpiece. I enjoyed it so freaking much!!! Can you tell me how did it? I have to imagine you wrote in paper first and then you put it into instruments either playing it or with the score exported? I don’t know that’s my guess!
I really like the composition as well as the amazing top notch sound quality and realness of it.

    • @reppe

Thanks. What makes it sound good is using a lot of layers - every string-part is mainly from Metropolis Ark, but doubled with samples from other libraries. The Ark-samples have a great large hall sound that really works with style and tempo. Then, by pure luck, having the trumpets play the same part but one beat later worked perfectly, without turning the whole track into mush.
I wrote it by just playing the parts right into cubase, nothing pre-written.

    • @reppe

I bought "con moto" and use them for longer parts now. Metropolis Ark 3 for shorts. All older libraries I still layer in depending on tempo.

  • @paulthiebaut

Very dope composition man ! I'd just say that the mix is a bit muddy at some points which is bit unfortunate. Other than that, the orchestration is on point !

May I ask, what library did you use for the textures and the bass trills at the very beginning/intro? Thought it was Metropolis Ark 2 but I could be wrong?
