📌 In addition to this video I am also launching XR training with my company Learn XR and I am opening early enrollment at: learnxr.io/xr-courses ℹ️ Presale period starts today February 6th through February 25th 2023 and it provides you with 50% off from courses original price.
Let me know also if you like to see more videos like this where I go through architecture and basically presenting different topics as oppose to hands on coding all the time.
hello dilmer, me and my team developed a game using the nextmind technology for a national competition. We have financed the purchase of the nextmind device but then the device has been removed from sale and we can't find it anywhere. We couldn't get a response from nextmind officials. I wonder if you can give us the nextmind device for a short time for presentation in the competition. If necessary, we can pay a fee. If you give an answer, you will make us very happy.
Thank you for reducing the price of your new course also for the 50% discount, I’ll do well to enroll before the presale ends, send greetings from Nigeria 🇳🇬
You are very welcome, I landed at a better price after looking for better options for the community specially for people who follow me from other countries. Thanks for your comment !
Thanks for the excellent video and for supporting the beginners in this journey. Question: Is the XR toolkit also recommended to develop an AR application for Meta Quest Pro?
You are very welcome, and yes you can use the XR Toolkit with Meta Quest Pro (Passthrough features) by adding XRI 2.3.1 and Oculus integration with their OVR Layer features.
Great, thanks. In this case your course of "VR development with XR interaction toolkit" would be more suitable than the "Ar Development with AR Foundation", right?
Dilmer, great content - would be super keen to see something on getting setup for quest pro development with Unity. In fact, the lack of content out there for developing mixed reality apps is scary, definitely an area that needs to be tapped into. There's plenty on AR and VR but mixed reality is incredibly tough to get started with right now
Thank you and I have been hearing this from a couple of people, I like the idea of bringing a video series focusing on mixed reality with a Meta Quest Pro so count on it 😉
Many tools today have emulators, Unity provides XRI which has a built-in emulator, HoloLens 2 I believe has one as well, and Meta recently released one for WebXR. Few links: - XRI emulator docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.xr.interaction.toolkit@2.0/manual/xr-device-simulator.html - HoloLens 2 learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/mixed-reality/develop/advanced-concepts/using-the-hololens-emulator - Meta WebXR github.com/meta-quest/immersive-web-emulator Great question!
You can develop with a Mac, build, and deploy to a Meta Quest 2, but you can’t connect your device to Unity with Link features which is what allows you to run your Unity VR game without having to deploy during play mode.
Hello I have a question i have been seeing some people using C# and others using C++. what are the trade off between these two language for VR/AR and which one is the gold standard professionally ?
Learn C++ and then C#, that will make you unstoppable and it will help you understand why people can benefit from having a more feature rich language like C# around.
Impressive video. Thanks. One question, I'm using meta q2 but i have to work with a Oculus Rift S for 6 months. Is this headset ok for developing in unity?
I am sure there are many haptic gloves that support HoloLens 2, two that I have tried which allows you to do so is WEART and SenseGlove. Hopefully this helps 😃
Hello, I was wondering if you are an AR developer. I have an AR requirement, but unfortunately, my budget is low, which is why I can't hire a company. I'm currently looking for a freelance developer who can assist me.
As a senior ux designer , I am not really been to coding, Can you help on this, Is it possible for a non tech to understand scripting part which is required for unity
I would suggest taking a C# fundamentals course, that alone will help you tremendously in the future, even if development is not your focus. I've one at www.learnxr.io/xr-courses thanks for your comment.
Hey man, I was wondering what you'd guess when/if MR glasses are going to be an actual thing (kind of "like we love to imagine"). I've always been wanting to create applications for those kind of devices so I dedicated the last few months on development with Hololens2 and nreal light but have to admit that this tech still seems many years out in the future, which is why I think I will try find a completely different CS field to work in.
I will continue creating many FREE videos here in TH-cam, also LearnXR would be more in depth videos where my goal is to enable people to use that training to find a job.

We are in 2024. I own a Meta Quest 3 headset. I want to learn XR. I went to the meta site but they have limited resources. and as for the documentation....a joke. Unless youre already an engineer its really difficult to follow. Up to date resources is needed if you want this industry to grow you need people from the broadest sector of the population.
There are so many, here is a good list www.usnews.com/best-colleges and honestly some of these are overpriced, I would recommend also to get training online as it is way more affordable and sometimes much better but you can do your research to find out what’s best for you.

Thank you for your videos. Recently I started doing VR and AR, how to create a project on PICO 4, where AR and VR are implemented?
Look at my latest PICO 4 videos and you will find those exact answers, thanks.
Great content Dilmer!
Thank you I am so glad you like it 🙏🥳
Thank, it's there a way to create XR content without having the headset ? it's there's some sort of emulator?

I saw one of your videos about Pico 4 dev, but I want to learn more. Where do you recommend to learn about XR dev with Pico 4?
Since PICO 4 works with Unity's XR Toolkit then I recommend enrolling to my upcoming VR course from: www.learnxr.io/xr-courses thank you !
Dilmer, can we already develop for quest2 with unity on a mac now through the usb cable ?
You can develop with a Mac, build, and deploy to a Meta Quest 2, but you can’t connect your device to Unity with Link features which is what allows you to run your Unity VR game without having to deploy during play mode.
Thanks for your video, in fact of my lapyop gpu is GTX 1060mq 6GB is it ok for start?
Sounds like is a good machine to start :)

Yes you should be good with that headset, it would be more of a PCVR experience but it works for what I am covering.
@@dilmerv Thanks Sir!
Thank you

I am sure there are many haptic gloves that support HoloLens 2, two that I have tried which allows you to do so is WEART and SenseGlove. Hopefully this helps 😃
Hope you'll make a video or shorts that you try the haptic gloves with Hololens 2 😇😇😇

I respect your decision and I always recommend getting a CS degree and then specializing in XR or something related. Best to you !
Dilmer the GOAT 🔥🔥
Thank you my good friend 🙏
With the learnxr launch, will the relevent youtube videos remain on your channel?

Can I use Rust for this too?
Hey Dilmer, will you take PayPal as a payment option before the pre-sale offer ends?
Yes I didn’t realize it wasn’t enabled until you mentioned it, so as of now PayPal is available, thanks for your feedback and excited to have you !
@Dilmer Valecillos, thank you for providing great resources to learn XR development!
You are very welcome, thanks for joining and welcome to the training 🥳
Which language do we need to learn ar vr development pls answer
I recommend to learn C# and get a lot of exposure to Unity 😉
@@dilmervpreferred to use unreal engine with C++.
Are your courses suitable for beginners who don't have any coding experience ?
Yes they are, I created a C# with Unity course which is free during the presale follow by Unity VR and AR, great question.

How about Ultimate XR?
That’s an amazing tool as well for VR, I haven’t had a chance to test it but yes be sure to review it as I heard great things about it !
First comment here.
Ur awesome man.....i saw ur linkedin profile.....u r always ahead in the XR industry

No 6 figure jobs on LinkedIn for VR
There are a lot of them, some do not disclose how much is the salary but from experience you could expect at least 100k > salaries.
4:38 I only have IPad Air with M2 Chip is it possible?
Absolutely the M2 Chip is a very powerful processor and ARKit should work great on it.
@@dilmerv thank you!
Please provide courses using PPP like India your course is very expensive in terms of money here
