    Great video. Thanks guys.
    I’m an aspiring XR developer. I am planning to look for my first job in the industry by the beginning of 2023 once I have finished my education and portfolio. The video was helpful and inspirational. Thank you. Cheers!

    @Dinesh , Thank you,
    You are putting lots of efforts to educate us.
    I want to see more like this.
    Am a Mechanical Design Engineer with 12years of experience. Am very new to AR/VR.
    I have interest to learn AR/VR. And become a AR/VR Product Visualization expert. That's a long journey, now am use to Unreal Engine.
    For me coding is still a myth. I have started with C language. Hope it helps me to get into AR/VR.
    Blueprint is not helping me much as am struggling with logical thinking.

      Indeed! There are currently a ton of opportunities in the AR/VR industry. Now it's the best time to position yourself strategically

    I'm a Mechanical Designer right now but I have been thinking seriously of moving into XR. I have been trying to get VR into my company for a while now and they just don't get it. I would rather work in the industry than try to get mine to adapt to it. Especially considering that our competitors are already using it. This video gives me more drive to start leaning into XR. It's not a fad, it's here and I want to be a part of it.

    this year will see introduction of consumer accessible haptics in XR and I feel this will bring about a great change and eyeballs onto the industry

    • @DineshPunni
      @DineshPunni  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh yeah, absolutely! I think haptict add a ton to the overall feeling of immersion. Hand tracking was pretty cool already but haptics is a different level

    I recommend if you can, to do your own thing and get a VR app on the store versus working for a corporation.

    • @DineshPunni
      @DineshPunni  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you have the patience and dedication for publishing an app on a store that would be a good alternative. But being able to earn enough to pay your bills is the real challenge here. I think a combination of both works pretty well. Work your 9to5, earn & learn, and then work on your own projects.

    such a informative and amazing conversation between both of u. One question, as a game developer what other languages we should learn?

    • @DineshPunni
      @DineshPunni  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks a ton! Really appreciate it :)
      In the video we talked about C/C++ but in general I think it doesn't matter tooo much. I'd rather focus if it aligns with your personal goals and interest. If for example you want to get into ML and AI I believe Python is a great language for that. On the web development side you'd go with JS, so it mostly depends on what you want to achieve. Hope that helps

    In healthcare sector to learn VR/AR applications what's are your suggestions?

    • @neuromedics3604

      Particularly in rehabilitation of patients like occupational therapy and physiotherapy, to learn VR/AR applications, your online courses are enough??

    • @DineshPunni
      @DineshPunni  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My courses at learn.immersive-insiders.com/ teach you the fundamentals independent of making a game or a healthcare immersive application. You'd either go with Unity or Unreal (most likely) and we cover Unity + C#. Feel free to check it out and if you have any questions let me know.

  • @peterparkar8035
    @peterparkar8035 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I just watch half the video and paused just to ask one question...
    What other languages can we learn? Like yea c, C# C++ is basics but what next what more?
    What types of problem that unity don't solve.?

    • @DineshPunni
      @DineshPunni  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If you’re confident with C, C++, and C# or with just 2 of them you have a good understanding of programming already. The reason we recommended other languages than C# is to also see how the world of programming looks outside of the ‚Unity bubble‘.
      I‘d say each tool such as Unity has its strengths and weaknesses. You wouldn’t for example build a website in Unity but if you’d want to build a game on multiple platforms Unity can be a great choice.
      The important skill is to know WHEN to use WHAT. Hope it helps.

    sir, any question from me. Why if i use ar foundation. and when it became an application, I tested it on Android and it got a black screen. Does not appear to allow the camera. Is there any solution? I'm still stuck here

    • @DineshPunni
      @DineshPunni  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Go to: Edit > Project Settings > XRPlugin-Management and then check the box for 'AR Core'. This should fix the black screen. You might also need to enable permissions on your phone.
