Even in the game, the Europans find it amusing that the Eurasians prefer the T90. There’s a whole quest to get 3 components from their wrecks so they can study them, because suddenly the old tanks are ripping through their units and they want to know what kind of hardware upgrade the Eurasians gave them in order to get them competitive again.
Eurasia/Euruska uses T-90 or old AK's, Europa uses Vietnam era uniforms and M16. The thing is that both sides use EVERYTHING they got to win the war, even old stuff that they still have stored somewhere in their armories from years ago.
From what I understood, the Mech aren’t per se unkillable, just the scav doesn’t have the fire power to kill them because they have 1B health. That is the HP for Mother courage at least. There are some players saying they killed them, but what i think happened is just they had a fight with another mech, won but got damaged a lot so they were low. (About the information, A dev said that on discord. Saw the screenshot on a video but can’t remember which one apart that the youtuber was trying to kill one)
Yeah, all of the "unkillable" units have just insanely high HP pools making them virtually unkillable though not literally unkillable. I wouldn't be suprised either if they had broken loot pools.
I feel like FunDog is gonna try and gave way for us to eventually be "That guy", but its gonna be locked behind hours and hours of progression to finally get to that point
Worth noting that the Scav does have a melee attack, bound to middle mouse by default. This is incredibly useful as you can stealth kill most normal human units, and while it's not quiet you can absolutely smash any cyborgs that get in your face with it. Don't try and melee a large group, but 1 or 2 cyborgs can easily and quickly be eliminated in melee for light health damage taken in return. You can also return the favor here - your shotguns have the same stagger as the ones the enemy uses, and the stagger is long enough that you can rack another shell and keep firing. This allows you to eliminate threatening single units, but since no shotgun can be silenced, expect company when you need to use several shots to down a unit.
Melee attacks are bound to MMB and V, can stagger Cyborgs/Light units to hitstun2death, and has stealth kill capability on enemies that haven't detected you
The Europa drone does make a noise any time it detects opposition. If it sees you, it will first beep and track your position, then attack(all of this happens within seconds). If you're able to hide, it just takes off unless it is locked on you.
This is very nice, but you forgot to add one enemy. Crooked Geometry 🪨 Threat level: Extreme Health: Unkillable Damage: Emotional Variants: Invisible Tactics: Holds on to the player while escaping, can't be jumped over easily, will completely ruin a run.
Definitely some invisible and one way walls in places they shouldn't be. My favourite is when I loot goods and then get trapped in an invisible box for 5 seconds for my sins.

I have almost shat myself countless times encountering the Grabber.. especially at night in Elephant Mausoleum. He is NOT a good doggo. Awesome video btw!
Praise be someone finally made a vid on what type's are what and how to kill and how to avoid also which factions are which. Good on you man for making this super super helpful guide.
Fun fact: You can't trap the dog. I tried trapping the one that typically spawns in the deep medical trenches of elephant mausoleum, had all doors closed, including in other buildings connected by holes in the wall you can climb though, and it somehow, despite all four doors remaining closed, escaped from the makeshift cage I made for it.
I once lured grabber to europan unit with exo that blocked exit point. Doggo killed infantry very fast but struggled with exo for 15 minutes. Thing just was running around exo while exo tried to kill the unkillable and preventing me from the exit. In the end they suddenly went silent I thought they finally killed each other. But apparently they just collided and body blocked each other. So technically grabber can be trapped.
I’ve been experimenting with using regular guns to knock out vehicles. Results are not conclusive, but it _seems_ to me that you need significantly more bullets than the math would suggest. For example, an RPK can put out 200 damage per shot, which would suggest that a single Eurasian Chopper would require roughly 40-ish rounds of ammo to take out, since it’s about 7 grenades at 1000 damage apiece to knock one out of the sky. However, mag-dumping a chopper multiple times still isn’t enough to take it down. This leads me to believe that there IS some form of rudimentary armor system currently implemented, and that these units are NOT just raw health pools as many have speculated.
I remember seeing a Reddit post about this. Yeah, theres an armor system and you need to deplete the armor pool before you can deplete the health pool. The trick is that Armor damage is done by *caliber* not the listed damage. A .308 that does 100 damage will remove more armor than a 5.56 that does 150. Grenades remove a LOT of armor which is why they're so good at killing tanks.
My first ever time in Ashen and I got the eclipse. The map was totally empty. It was so scary. Then, as I'm running across the open area I hear a thumping behind me. I turn around and there's a dog heading right towarss me. Didn't play that map again for a while 😅
Yeah, I might need to make an addendum but I've been noticing it slighty more too, not even just with toothy. There seems to be instances where any unit can break the "visual aggro" mold and take a pot shot or two at you. Though it does seem slightly unintentional? Mainly because they seem to quickly go back to engaging NPCs right after those few shots.
@@killpo_1 I've noticed this too just like you say, I can run by some guys that are shooting at their enemy faction and it's like they take a 1 second break to take a couple shots at me then go back to their war lol
It should be noted that some units, mechs in particular, have multiple weapons with different firing arcs. Some mechs have turrets on their backs. These will engage independently of the mech, and since it isn't common then to be surrounded until late in a run, any scavs thinking about hiding behind the mech may find themselves getting shot by these turrets.
Fun fact about the tanks, they may not target the scav but they will fire upon hoards of cyborg zombies that are swarming you…. And I’m sure you can guess what happens.
Dog also has a one-hit kill animation. I don't know what triggers it or if it is random but he will throw you down on the ground in a nice little mini-cutscene and slap your head off, intsta-gibbing you. Seen him too many times trying to get the med bay door to work. 😅
i think its if u have ur back turned to him, everytime i tried running away from him it will give me that animation, but the few times i didnt and tried shooting him he would just attack me normally
I'd like to highlight that tanks WILL engage scavs who get too close and linger too long. They're difficult to aggro and you can really push your luck, but they can aggro without you firing a shot.
Wanting to point this out, by the way: OrgaMech CAN be a Hunter Killer, having had one slowly chase me from across the map (Ashen Mesa). One of the easier one's to avoid despite the danger, it's basically Mr. X on lethal amounts of combat drugs lmao.

Best place to hide from a Grabber/Dog if youre on Elephant Mausoleum at night is hiding in one of the rooms, they cant go through the doors once youve shut them. Issue is waiting for them to eventually move on/wait for their pathing to talk them elsewhere in an attempt to reach you. Huge detection radius, so even while hiding inside with a shut door, they can detect you
FINALLY. Been waiting so long for any unit info video. Edit: i figured snipers would attack for no reason. I always avoided them just in case and im glad you confirmed it. I wonder if you get caught by the spotter, will he ping the sniper though.
I haven't seen the bodygaurd yet, I have seen officers but I haven't seen them do anything different in comparison to regular Ranged Cyborgs (the actual image used in the Ranged Cyborg section is actually an Officer variant). With a lot of units having smoke launchers / grenade launchers they can't use Im expecting maybe an update in the future to add a bit of functionality to units like that (maybe grenades?).
@@killpo_1 The bodyguards are practically glorified EOD units and only armed with USAS-12, and as far as I know, the only way to make them appear regularly is to have the contract to get 3 pieces of armor from these units in Mausoleum of the Elephant, although they have also appeared on other maps with the active contract.
This was most informative! I guess I've been getting lucky with medium Mecs always being engaged in a firefight, I just assumed like the tanks they wouldn't attack me. Will have to be careful going forward!
This was a great video! Thank you so much for the breakdown. I don't know if it would be something you would be wanting to explain but perhaps a video on ranges of vision for enemies, if light does anything to how well they see you, how much crouching actually helps you stay hidden , maybe how well things conceal you. Things that does not seem to be explained from the devs .
solid breakdown, I'll add on that Dog has a one hit kill animation like mom! I got blindsided by one while heading towards evac while guiding my idiot mule, who's too cute not to bring along even though I don't think I've ever seen one extract with me lmao
One thing about the Crawlers: they have "spawn in your face mechanic" (that's not tied to jank ;P). They can dig themselves from the ground. I only saw it once on Ashen Mesa so I'm not sure how prevalent it is. Right on the extract on the end of the long chain. You go down the stairs, and there was a bunch of them. I killed them all and started looting, but suddenly, a second batch started rising from the ground all around me, so I sprinted for the flare mashing E.
I hate the Grabbers so much. You can shoot Grabbers to make them run away for a bit, but it doesn't help much. Shooting them may buy you just a couple seconds of time before they catch up to you again for another attack. Be sure to hit ctrl + either left or right afterwards so you can make some immediate sprint distance all while keeping your gun trained on it.. Out running a grabber is not really an option unless you have some terrain and map geometry you can abuse, they will catch up and smack you hard.. or just put you in a insta kill animation. Best advice is just don't get caught though.. I hope this helps new scavs out there.
Contradiction in the first 1:30, Europa infantry are not threat level low as per your description, they dont need to be provoked to search and attack. Just need to be a little to close or open a door and they seek and destroy.
Good video. I wonder what else the devs have cooking, apparently the enemies in the game now are a relatively small portion of what they want in the game.
I once encountered a non hunterkiller dog on scorched, it aggro'ed on me but I was able to use the bunker things around the map to avoid it tough it seemed to be alert cyborgs to me, though I was playing as Bag man with a LMG with alot of ammo so I was able to kill a ridiculous amounts of cyborgs, but not knowing the Dog was invincible I shot at it a ton and it seemed as though shooting at it makes it run away for a while before comings back to the area it last saw you, witch allowed me to escape as after all the cyborgs on the map were dead i was able to scare it off and run for it, well the dig was away i ran the other way trying to be sneaky and it didn't end up following me at all instead returning to where it past saw me then going off to patrol the opposite side of the map allowing me to be rather chill on the other side, this was durring the time when the map is filled with bodies, another time on a the same map but durong the normal day fighting, one showed up and kept agroing on me well i was on one side of the map but it could not get up on the wall it seemed an exo came to fight it the exo died to a combo of the dog and mech coming by to shoot it then the dog ran off allowing me to get the exo pilot and get back up on the wall though after jumping down on the other side it seemed to have lost me, so far i have only died to dogs in ashen mesa where they seem to silently spawn or something behind me well Im crossing the open area.
Really good video, straight to the point and no unnecessary "subscribe & like" mention. That is why you got yourself a sub and a like from me! Keep up the good work and I hope to see more quality content for The Forever Winter from you in the future!
Regarding brawlers, in my opinion a valid strategy is often avoiding them because what really makes them a threat is simply how much ammunition is usually required to eliminate them, potentially leaving you vulnerable or looking to extract early. Often the cost/reward to engage them just isn't worthwhile.
EOD Hunter Killer can be cheesed in Elephant Mausoleum if you go deep into the trench network where those doors are and go into medbay that's got the hole you can vault over. The Hunter Killer unit will walk against the vault area but cant get over it. You can just jump up and down the gap and take shots at his head with a shotgun until it dies, just know he can still shoot you and usually a horde of grunts will back him up.
It bears mentioning that in the scenario where the grabber is about to attack you, even though you can't damage it you can still shoot and stun it possibly warding off its attack long enough to get away.
i was thinking of using a grenade launcher or anti tank rifle to try and kill the "Dog" they are one fast and annoying unit- they no longer one shot me do to my prestige level and the armour i got on my rig manages at least a 2 shot, but now... ill just run thanks ALOT for the infu you saved a decent amount of rss that i was going to use on it
@@OneBiasedOpinion I think the damage stats do not reflect the actual damage but the potential, because I have tested the RPK against the Bodyguards of Europa faction and they can tank an entire expanded magazine almost without problems, however with the AA12 and the USAS12 they practically fall from 2 point-blank shots or 4 shots from a few meters away.
Would be nice to have an addendum about the special enemies: Goldbrick, the Tormentor, The Corpse Tank, the Mech Trenches Thief, and so on. Would be fairly short but would be cool to have a more specific idea about what's needed to kill them.
An ammendment ill make is that the Cyborg that's severed at the waist is 100% a Low danger target, as a single melee with dispatch it. The Scrambler is more deserving of a Medium rating
suggestion for your next video: I know you've been testing the amount of shots/hp of stuff. Like you did for the Medium Mech You could add that info, and instead of mentioning "shotgun" or "LMG", you could state which models of LMGs or SGs they carry. It'd be something I'd click instantly to view. Another one would be info about some more peculiar quests. Like having to loot the parts for the meatshredder while inside the map, etc
i just had 2 mother courages try to walk through eachother and it looked like they were having a sorta sweet/chill moment "its gonna be okay- youll find some flesh and bones to pile up" then one of those corpsetanks decided to shoot them .-. guess who did not survive that incident- *the dumbass corpsetank taking on 2 android_mommies* idk how i got outta there tbh- im pretty sure i made the detection glitch out case i pretty much bumped my ass into a euruska grabber (dog) and they turned around and crept away leaving me stunned and confused 12/10 with and without the bugs i love this game
I once over shot a cyborg and got sniped by tank who decided that sniping a scav who shot them from half way across the map is more important then taking on the mech right in front of him
ngl I first heard of this game from a video essay about it but I confused it for the Forever War and thought it was a book lol I was confused asf when I found out it was a game.
Toothy might not be able to die with scav weapons but you can knock off its machine gun with a few grenades. I was also hoping to see which faction owns the super tank carriers because when I was last playing I seen one moving.
I find Europan standard Infantry oddly more dangerous than their 'elite' guys, funnily enough, thanks to their SCAR rifles. Usually not a huge issue individually given they don't fire very fast and have to reload if they do, but, getting hit with multiple 50 cal hits definitely can knock you faster than you'd think. Probably still belong in the 'low' grade, mind you, but having those guys spawn behind me has gotten me killed a few times.
All the unkillable units, particularly the grabber, should be killable eventually. The Devs want to implement a system where you blow parts off of them a la Dead Space to kill those greater threats.

oh yeah, i love this analysis series keep em up!!!
Europa: Mechs, high tech soldiers, your usual futuristic military
Euruska and Eurasia:
The reason i stand with Europa
If they are willing to go so far to win
I can't imagine what they'll do to any surviving settlements fron the war
@@pacificfederationpeacekeep999
I like how Eurasia’s tactic was simply immortalize Junji Ito and ask him for ideas on how to design their troops
Europa is actually behind technologically
🎉Very nice video I was waiting for something like this thanks 😀 👍
Eurasian Scramblers can be deployed as HK. Rare but it happens.
Happens a lot on night maps
Good and concise info, thanks a lot!
Really good video, straight to the point and no unnecessary "subscribe & like" mention. That is why you got yourself a sub and a like from me! Keep up the good work and I hope to see more quality content for The Forever Winter from you in the future!
YEEEESSW THANK YOU BROTHER, GOD BLESS YOU
Regarding brawlers, in my opinion a valid strategy is often avoiding them because what really makes them a threat is simply how much ammunition is usually required to eliminate them, potentially leaving you vulnerable or looking to extract early. Often the cost/reward to engage them just isn't worthwhile.
yeap, pretty accurate and I also learned few things, thanks
need more forever winter content!
It bears mentioning that in the scenario where the grabber is about to attack you, even though you can't damage it you can still shoot and stun it possibly warding off its attack long enough to get away.
i was thinking of using a grenade launcher or anti tank rifle to try and kill the "Dog" they are one fast and annoying unit- they no longer one shot me do to my prestige level and the armour i got on my rig manages at least a 2 shot, but now... ill just run thanks ALOT for the infu you saved a decent amount of rss that i was going to use on it
Look man like I said on your live plays.
THERE IS NO ENEMY THE GODLY AA12 CANNOT EXTERMINATE 🎉🎉🎉
I’ve yet to try the AA-12 for myself, but on paper it doesn’t seem all that great at just 100 damage per shot. What makes it so good?
@@OneBiasedOpinion 100 dammage per bullet, and that is a fully automatic shotgun with 32 rounds per magazine
@@AriwaraDeStar I mean, my RPK gets 204 damage per round, and it carries a 95 round drum mag with a silencer.
@@rgelioredeker3374 ok, that makes sense. Maybe there’s also some hidden armor system already implemented as well.
thanks for the research
No way I've been waiting for this 😂
very helpful video, good job
Awesome video you got yourself a sub!
Would be nice to have an addendum about the special enemies: Goldbrick, the Tormentor, The Corpse Tank, the Mech Trenches Thief, and so on.
Would be fairly short but would be cool to have a more specific idea about what's needed to kill them.
Europan snipers casually reminding me that I'm "not that guy."
Imagine if they could be hunter killer teams...
An ammendment ill make is that the Cyborg that's severed at the waist is 100% a Low danger target, as a single melee with dispatch it. The Scrambler is more deserving of a Medium rating
Great video!
Fire video. More please.
Cool! Can't wait for them to turn off the addiction treadmill so I can enjoy this game
many brave men and women where lost in getting the pictures for this video
o7 nice video dude. See you in your streams
suggestion for your next video: I know you've been testing the amount of shots/hp of stuff. Like you did for the Medium Mech
You could add that info, and instead of mentioning "shotgun" or "LMG", you could state which models of LMGs or SGs they carry. It'd be something I'd click instantly to view.
Another one would be info about some more peculiar quests. Like having to loot the parts for the meatshredder while inside the map, etc
You said the Merkava has no variants, false, there's a whole scav faction mission dedicated to that fact.
I think you mean the corpse tank ?
And if you look into the description of the video, it clearly states non quest enemies only.
@@NightlinerSGS It spawns without a quest all the time, especially on night shifts.
@@spentcasing3990 Yes, the Europan Merkava Body Tank.
@@luck0000 I kinda wonder why the devs went with the Merkava tank instead of something like the Abrams
i just had 2 mother courages try to walk through eachother and it looked like they were having a sorta sweet/chill moment "its gonna be okay- youll find some flesh and bones to pile up"
then one of those corpsetanks decided to shoot them .-. guess who did not survive that incident- *the dumbass corpsetank taking on 2 android_mommies*
idk how i got outta there tbh- im pretty sure i made the detection glitch out case i pretty much bumped my ass into a euruska grabber (dog) and they turned around and crept away leaving me stunned and confused
12/10 with and without the bugs i love this game
thx 4 the vid, that is quite helpful! :)
Very helpful video! This deserves millions of likes 👍
The few times that I've seen Orgamech it's been stuck on terrain. Sometimes I like to find a safe pocket in Enclave and just watch Toothy go.
I once over shot a cyborg and got sniped by tank who decided that sniping a scav who shot them from half way across the map is more important then taking on the mech right in front of him
The Ogramech is killable. One was in my way at Bunker extract on Ashen Mesa lol
It was not by player/scavs, but I do saw toothy being destroyed while battling two Europa medium mechs.
I didn’t even know that the grabber was unofficially called dog, I would just call it that with my team.
THANK YOU
Something you forgot to mention, tanks will attempt to run you over without aggro.
those GRINN soldiers remind me of the Lazrians from Dark Sector
Kinda wish there was some gameplay in the video to show off the units actually moving about here.
Thisd makes me think that the devs need to urgently add some sort of encyclopedia of enemies to the game including for upcoming enemies
this game should highlight the faction when aiming at them
You need a certain item in your inventory for that. I forgot which one.
@@joydjinn8692 Looks like it's the TCAM
@@Kidblurr02 Yeah, gonna keep that in mind. It pretty useful.
You don't. Press z to mark the enemy and it's faction will be listed. Very useful in low vis.
ngl I first heard of this game from a video essay about it but I confused it for the Forever War and thought it was a book lol I was confused asf when I found out it was a game.
The Devs want to implement a system where you blow parts off of them a la Dead Space to kill those greater threats.
i am pretty sure i have died to cyborg swarms the most for sure.
I never even realized eurasia doesn't have mechs, odd considering they have an anime vibe on some the enemies they got
I wonder if they will copy Lethal Company in putting out more and upgrades with new maps and units.
Toothy was know by his Euruskan Brain... Rick James.... He was and is the habitual line stepper...he ruins couches and lives for fun... Hes commander of the 4th faction.. The Hatetocracy
great video. thanks for your hard work.
also i wanna ask. which map dog can be spawn as hk? all map?
