    Nicely done. It would be great to see these jack knives in use. This series is certainly educational. I’m looking forward to the next one.

    Hahaa 😃 that advertisement logo. A copy of a copy of... This one has a surprisingly good/usable selection of pick tools. From a personal perspective. Quantity over quality. The age old debate. With a little sand work this isn’t all that bad. As for the bad points see my comments on the SouthOrd jackknife pick. Same same. Great video review. Liking this series. Take care.

    Old school name for the half ball/half a snowball is a Feeler Gauge. It Helps prevent oversetting the pins. Well for the price & willing to put in a little sweat equity & add an o-ring to it you'd have a nice set then for your everyday carry.
    Good review Bud, have a good one also.

    Im loving this series. This one has an odd selection of picks. Half ball but no standard/shallow hook?.. Nice chrome though and for the price, you cant go too wrong lol.

    • @LegalLockPicker
      @LegalLockPicker  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do my best to put myself in the position as an avid buyer hobbyist / locksmith just so I can see what exactly the market is they were shooting for and unfortunately some of these selections make no sense or don't work like no research was done more like let's pick random tools and get this to market asap. Thanks again for commenting and watching

    Damn! That’s crazy.. the second one is very knockoff brandish. It is just very sad that they swindle people for their money. Hopefully most will educate themselves after your review before purchasing any of these. Awesome review, very informative. Thank You!!

    Some cheap & cheerful versions of things are grand & can even on occasion surpass what they are attempting to imitate, in part because they often strip away unnecessary elements. Sadly, these don’t seem an example of such. Instead, they bring up images of a rather lacklustre school report card ... “Little Harry is very enthusiastic in class but must try harder to apply themselves.” Feedback must only worsen as those things get looser over time. A grand review if only to rule them out of the running.

  • @DangerfieldChris

    LockPickWorld.com and UKBumpKeys.com give a couple of o-rings away with this tool. Which totally solves the 'loose picks' issue some people encounter.

    "A knock off of a knock off. Wow" ....... "A knock off of a knock off. Wow" ETC. And not a good
    one either. Like a third or forth generation Photocopy. And still no Bogota type pick in the mix.
    P.S.: We need our "O" RINGS!!!

    Another great review, thank you. I was really curious about this one because after looking at the comments for the last video, it seems this is the most popular and most owned model. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for, and I don't mind paying a little extra for quality. I think that so far Southord is winning the competition. Thanks again, can't wait to see the next review.

    • @LegalLockPicker

    • @Ben7seven7
      @Ben7seven7 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      All of the Southord knock offs are cheap and don’t have very good finish or lock down of the picks and they don’t include a rubber stopper on the nut either. You can however make adjustments and improvements on your own to improve the fit finish and functionality. I did a video showing this which I’ll be posting soon when I edit the bits together.

    • @LockpickingsGal
      @LockpickingsGal 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ben7seven7 I would love to see your video!! I subscribed so hopefully I don’t miss it!!

    • @Ben7seven7
      @Ben7seven7 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lock pickings Gal cool, I will have them up soon. First one compares the Southord with the Stainless body to the cheap Asian knock off. The second video shows what you can do with some files a hammer and a little elbow Greece with the knockoff. I also demonstrate picking the same lock using 3 different picks / techniques and explain a bit about that process as well.

    • @Ben7seven7
      @Ben7seven7 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      On and one quickie, best bang for the buck / way to go is probably the new Southord jacknife since there is currently a 25% off sale on everything on the Southord website right now to Dec 23 using discount code Holly19.

    @plug4uk696 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Like I said in the previous video 4 of the 6 have almost identical profiles which is a shame because most would go for the cheaper versions and miss out on a quality tool, I'm glad your bringing this to light in your reviews ;-)

    • @LegalLockPicker
      @LegalLockPicker  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes sir! Thanks again for the comments they really do help.. and this is one of those tools If you don't have or were put off purchasing based on other reviews I would give this one a second thought. It doesn't have the problems most of the other ones have and is %100 full customization including color & texture . Today's video is going to be similar :)

      That is what absolutely shocked me most of all.

  • @Westhelockpicker
    @Westhelockpicker 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The picks having that play in it would have to mess with feedback!

    • @LegalLockPicker
      @LegalLockPicker  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's absolutely frustrating when you just can't get a grip on some of the feedback. I get comments and e-mails asking if it really matters that a pick tip moves in an upward motion when you use downward motion to push pins. The answer is control is the key!

  • @Chirael

    that seems like what happens with a lot of factories for all sorts of things, leave off the branding and then sell as a knockoff. Happens with clothing all the time

    • @LegalLockPicker
      @LegalLockPicker  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tom, that's exactly right. It's unfortunate as well

  • @AalbertTorsius
    @AalbertTorsius 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have one by Haoshi that is exactly like the H&H, except that it reads Haoshi.
    I think there's a factory in China pumping out these clones of the SouthOrd one. If SouthOrd have theirs made in China, it might even be the same factory.

    • @LegalLockPicker

    I got my h&h from ebay mine has no rubber piece, i wish it did and in using it i found the loosing of the pick an issue with the feel.it is also gaudy with the mirror finish.

    • @LegalLockPicker
      @LegalLockPicker  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right out of the gate it gave me problems.. it's unfortunate really... I have noticed if you purchase from Lockpickworld or a reputable establishment they do in fact send you the rubber circle.

    So now we have Chinese knock offs of Chinese knock offs. The H&H isn’t half bad considering the price not a bad value.

    • @LegalLockPicker
      @LegalLockPicker  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's the thing James.. so many things are knock offs of Knock off's things get a little cloud after you go down the line a little but for the person just looking for a jackknife tool that is functional .. You can get it delivered anywhere in the states for less then $10. Thanks for watching and commenting James, hope you come back for the rest of the series

  • @FriedPi-mc5yt
    @FriedPi-mc5yt 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wow! That second one isn’t much of a deal even at $10. For a few bucks more you could get one that was more nicely finished. I’m not a big fan of the polished finish of either one. Seems like it would be slick and be difficult to get a grip on. Not to mention the lack of an o-ring would mean that it would need constant tightening to keep the picks from flopping around.

    The H & H is the one I already have. No rubber stopper on mine though. I paid £7.80 which included the p&p from Wish.com. The picks do work loose, but it's ok for what I paid.

    • @LegalLockPicker
      @LegalLockPicker  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, some companies have stepped up and added rubber stopper to the package, seems to make a large difference.
