When exactly in the video does his expression change in realizing it’s the Toymaker? Cause it’s a little hard to tell if he realized this when the Toymaker was tossing balls at him.

Had the exact same feel as Turn Left when Donna wakes up from the trickster bug and remembers the blonde woman and to tell the Doctor something and they run outside and the TARDIS has translated every text everywhere to BAD WOLF and the cloister bells in the TARDIS are ringing to warn the end of the universe. I mean, to be fair, it wouldn't have worked unless the Toymaker allowed it. If he doesn't want Donna in the Tardis, it doesn't matter how fast she runs, she's not making it there. It's a great line for establishing his threat level, but the Toymaker wanted Donna there and nothing the Doctor or Donna did was going to matter until she had seen and heard what the Toymaker wanted her to see and hear.

Well you have to know that the Doctor deals in science and the physical universe. The Toymaker is an extra-dimensional being that doesn't have to follow the rules of the universe at all. The Doctor has no gadget or technique that can stop him. The Toymaker can literally do and make anything he wants, and he only does things for his own amusement. They literally haven't faced off since 1966, so the epic music and flashbacks to Doctor Who in 1966 were epic.

The brief flashes of Michael Gough and William Hartnell set up the vibe of this ancient rivalry so perfectly. Even If you had no knowledge of classic Who prior this is all that's needed to feel the tension and dread The Doctor is feeling. I could watch David's Doctor and NPH as the Toymaker constantly. The true last humans were the ones who gathered at Utopia at the end of the universe. They were far closer to the original humans than Cassandra, a fact that was handwaved by the Doctor as humanity returning to form, which doesn't make sense. Probably someone found and, and for some reason, replicated an ancient genetic archive of some kind.
Scientists have speculated that life might continue indefinitely despite the "heat death" of the universe, if it just evolves the ability to use energy far more slowly as the amount of energy available gets steadily lower. They've estimated that, with the right slowdown schedule, there's no upper limit to the total number of thoughts that living beings could think, despite the fact that they must continually think at a slower speed to avoid using up too much energy.
Beings adapted for the Heat Death of the universe would look nothing like current day humans.

I'm guessing they just copied it from somewhere which has subtitles colour-coded by character (probably BBC iPlayer), and forgot to remove the formatting for TH-cam. The Toymaker's dialogue would be cyan. I think Donna's would be yellow. The Doctor's dialogue isn't tagged so would default to white.

I remember why I'm not fond of The Doctor female companions, they always ask why rather than just go, read the situation for god sake.

I spotted a continuity error. He is juggling 3 balls but he throws more than 3 at the Doctor. Bet the editor feels like an idiot.

I thought it was like he was conjuring a new ball to replace the old one every time he threw a ball at the Doctor, I mean the guys essentially a god

The point is meant to be that he creates a new ball each time. It’s meant to show the type of character that the Toymaker is
