I was *really* hoping he would. After all Toymaker, Maestro, and Sutekh are all Pantheon of Discord.
But with the defeat of Sutekh I doubt any of the Pantheon will return next series. Toymaker might pop up again in the future, because of how well NPH was received in the role, but who knows

1:17 How many teeth does the Toymaker even have? That is not a natural smile. It's like one of those Wild Blue Yonder creatures not getting the body quite right.
That's most likely the point, it is stated that the Toymaker doesn't actually look like this, it's just the form he takes for our benefit. I like to think it also explains Maestro not adhering to a gender, again it's a lack of concept for them as a God, a detail they can easily overlook.

I love how they kept Donna's character intact. With her memories back she already knows what to do, and she's smart enough that she doesn't need to be told when to book it!
The scene with The Maestro is so surreal without the soundtrack. Somehow makes it more intimidating and scary
The entire episode was a missed opportunity to do a full on musical episode where people start singing uncontrollably.

Praying for the Trickster’s return in Doctor Who season 2! My favourite SJA villain. It would just make so much sense to bring him back! Not to mention the character has so much remaining potential! 🔥
He came in series 8 as a teaser in 12 era fought offscreen with 10 and even confronted him in SJA so hopefully 15 can face him

Can we just take a moment to appreciate that our Sarah Jane Smith defeated a “God” a bunch of times ??
This means that for a brief time between "Kinda" and "Snakedance," excepting Tegan's extended time away from the TARDIS at the end of Season 19, that the Mara was ALSO stowing away in the TARDIS for a little while. I wonder if it and Sutekh recognized one another or conversed in any way... [grin]
I can definitely see Sutekh seeing the Mara and going "oi this is my TARDIS get your own Time Lord to stalk" while going on a monolithic about sand afterwards.

@lucas70767 If we're thinking about the same thing, I think it was less of a God, more just worshipped as such. As opposed to Sutekh for instance who had the power of a God but wasn't properly worshipped as one

Fenric is way beyond this pantheon. He is the embodiment of evil, and In terms of scaling - and by the 7th Doctor's own words - if Fenric retains his natural form, no force in existence could stop him, not even this pantheon. As an old 80's Whovian whose favorite story has always been Curse of Fenric, I'm glad they didn't bring him back, especially after what they did to Sutekh -- defeated by smart rope.
@@RopeDrink I dunno. Sutekh is the God of Death and not even guys like the Toymaker dared to go against him. Fenric might be the embodiment of evil, but I don't think even he would go against Death.
And agreed. The way Sutekh was defeated was ridiculous and made him look like a complete chump.
Missed opportunity to inclued the two gods of "Can You Hear Me" and Time too.
They are Eternals.

the pantheon seems to be more of a specific faction of the eternals that have taken to exerting their influence on reality... primarily in targeting people or times that have big influences on space and time... or the doctor.
You forgot the two gods that fed on Dreams that the 13th faced... i believe the bald one was referenced as the boogeyman, and the Goddess with white hair was another celestial of chaos.
Omega could also have been considered as an honorable mention. He only died because the doctor convinced him of his innexistence and he imploded with his antimatter world.
Fitting The Doctor is last.
Because if there is one thing the pantheon fears... it's The Doctor.

Kinda strange how the music got left out of some of the Ncuti clips (especially when Ruby was meant to be playing the piano there! 😂) but it also weirdly makes them more atmospheric in a way? Especially that final clip with Sutekh.
Haven't seen all of SJA so it was nice to see some stuff that was new to me. Sarah Jane saying goodbye to her parents actually brought a tear to my eye, and I recognised her Dad from when he used to be on Basil Brush! 😅❤

That’s two classic god villains return to the whoniverse, who’s the next god villain for doctor who series.
Its a shame that Fenrick isn't part of the Pantheon. Aswel as the Toymaker, Fenrick is such an interesting God-like villian for his mysterious offscreen relationship with the Doctor.

The Doctor has faced many gods
So we know that Sutekh is the God of Death, the Toymaker is the God of Games, the Trickster is the God of Traps, Maestro is the God of Music, the Mara is the God of Beasts; so would that mean that the Beast is Reprobate the God of Spite and The Gods of Ragnarok are the Three Fold Deity (Malice, Mischief and Misery)?
Just a theory, as Harriet Arbinger was naming all the Gods of the Pantheon and that the Gods of Ragnarok and the Beast were featured in this video and not officially confirmed as members of the Pantheon of Discord.
This is definitely the theory going around, love it, I know there will be more mentioned

Not really. It was a failed spin off which never continued to a second season. The highlights of the show in my opinion was seeing the 12th Doctor.
