The House I Live In (1945) [HD] Frank Sinatra film
มุมมอง 15ปีที่แล้ว
Sinatra, apparently playing himself, takes a break from a recording session and steps outside to smoke a cigarette. He sees more than ten boys chasing a dark-haired boy and intervenes, first with dialogue, then with a short speech. His main points are that we are "all" Americans and that one American's blood is as good as another's. Made to oppose anti-Semitism at the end of World War II, it re...

Night of the Living Dead (1968) [4K] [CC] directed by George A. Romero
มุมมอง 17ปีที่แล้ว
A group of unsuspecting people get trapped in an old farmhouse after the dead unexpectedly rise from the grave and seek the living as food. After Night of the Living Dead's initial success, the two creators split in disagreement regarding where the series should head, and since the film was in the public domain, each were able to do what they liked with the continuity of their projects. Star Trek: The Original Series Bloopers [Super 8 film reel]
Yeah, Torvic knows this game very well, doesn't he, doctor? ^^ Since his youth the doctor has always been an expert in this ball (rock) game.
I remember when the Toymaker briefly stopped with the games and got hired as Bruce Wayne's butler.
0:53 That’s a burn and a low blow to the Doctor from the Toymaker. What a way to get under the man’s skin.
Last time the Doctor tried to just remove Donna from the situation was the Vashta Narada. And the he didn't bother asking that time because there was a teleporter so he tried to just send her without permission. This time he is just praying the Toymaker ignores her if she makes a run for it.
1:26 NPH… one of the deadliest actors of space and time!
The fake German accent is kinda throwing me off here. Is there a reason for it?
It's mr CELESTIAL Toymaker to you, thank you very much
The last good episode of Doctor who (until Nucti turns up at the end and the quality massively dips)
Count Olaf in disguise ☝️
The brief flashes of Michael Gough and William Hartnell set up the vibe of this ancient rivalry so perfectly. Even If you had no knowledge of classic Who prior this is all that's needed to feel the tension and dread The Doctor is feeling. I could watch David's Doctor and NPH as the Toymaker constantly. So good. Topped off with the bow and the Giggle score. I adore this scene 👏
These playbook characters are getting out of hand barney
As a TTRPG nerd i do wonder how the Toymaker would respond to someone challenging him.and.going Pathfinder. Or Dungeons and Dragons or some such. Like how would 'winning/losing' be established. Its telling a story of make belief in a collaborative way. Like by the rules of his binding existence how does he create stakes....does he bring the game to life? Like full on celestial toy powers we larping with real stakes now and somehow brings the monsters and stuff to life too? Like how would that go down i wonder
Stone-age man killed another with a rock - like the Doctor almost did so many years ago.
Oh! Great subtitles
This has got to be one of Barney’s weirdest plays in the Playbook
Absolutely awful episode.
Would the Toymaker be surprised if Donna had slapped him in the face because he has returned to give the Doctor more trouble many years after their last meeting, when the Doctor was in his original form as an old man with long, white hair?
“Donna, go back to the Tardis.” Chills. But given the Toymakers power, I wonder if that would even really make a difference. If he was truly determined to get someone, could anything really stop him?
I don't remember the original episode that well, but I believe the Toymaker was unable to get through to affect the inside of the Tardis. Even if the exact reason was not fully elaborated.
DAMN the score is incredible. Scene wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable without it.
0:15 *CREEPY circus music starts* 1:34 *creepy music intensifies* This is a dangerous and dark villain Love these villain introductions And yikes the Doctor’s face, he looked utterly terrified and cautious at the same time. D: “Donna go back to the TARDIS.” “You never tell me to do that.” Me: “Donna if the Doctor’s THAT scared that’s a warning you better listen.” START RUNNING
When the doctor tells you to run. You run.
Great stuff like the scene in Mawdryn Undead when the Doctor triggers the Brig's forgotten memories.
This had so much promise. Such a shame.
as someone who watched classic who, when i heard to Celestial Toy Maker was gonna be in it, i thought it was gonna be epic. Q but playing actual games, messing with the Doctor maybe for a whole season. Instead we got .... this.. Damn shame.
Hey can someone help me I’ve got the captions on and not sure if this is intentional but it says what color is that I’m on a phone not a computer
Bit late, but it appears to by a cyan blue color.
@@ultraguardiansev465 thank you I had no idea what it was because if you turn on the captions there’s those numbers at the start
I'm guessing they just copied it from somewhere which has subtitles colour-coded by character (probably BBC iPlayer), and forgot to remove the formatting for TH-cam. The Toymaker's dialogue would be cyan. I think Donna's would be yellow. The Doctor's dialogue isn't tagged so would default to white.
Doctor "get back to the kitchen Donna "WHAT!?" Doctor "Tardis, Sorry. Get back to the Tardis"
Throws balls, keeps juggling 3 balls, throws ball, still juggling 3, repeat😂
All I’m thinking about is how many takes this must have been Edit: after rewatching for the 512th time, I think I now know where the cuts are and how they stitched it together. Still impressive for him to juggle and act at the same time
To be honest, juggling is really not that hard to learn. Once you manage to learn it, it's kinda automatic.
The Toymaker couldn't leave the Doctor alone many years after their 1st encounter.
Neil Patrick Harris nailed this role. I really hope we get to see him as the toymaker again.
The show started being woke with chibnals who I didn't like it but it was a sort of harmless woke compared with RTDs gender confusion garbage
The "la la la" in the background reminds me a lot of the one you hear in Five Nights at Freddy's movie 😃
agreed. I was wondering what it reminded me of. When the animatronics look at the picture and she says "they can see you now"
I remember why I'm not fond of The Doctor female companions, they always ask why rather than just go, read the situation for god sake.
One of the things the character the toy maker could do is juggling, but fortunatley neil was already skilled at that task so it was no problem for him...
Doctor "Get back to the TARDIS" Donna "You never tell me to do that" Lady, that just shows HOW MUCH FASTER YOU NEED TO RUN BACK TO THE TARDIS
Yeah I always find it frustrating when characters are this slow on the uptake. It's always refreshing when you find one who moves first and then asks questions later. There was one I saw recently where the character said after the fact: "He told me to shut the portal with a total of 0 swears or jokes. That means it's SERIOUS."
@@Stealth0978which just further reinforces the point. He’s NEVER told you to get back to the safety of the Tardis. Now that he has. Fucking RUN
@@onefastsled I feel like they want to show strong and brave side character... instead, they just show how dumb they are. If I was the doctor, I would have told her to kick rocks after that accident. How can you trust someone who can't even be reliable to run to safety in face of danger
@@leyrua helluva boss
I mean, to be fair, it wouldn't have worked unless the Toymaker allowed it. If he doesn't want Donna in the Tardis, it doesn't matter how fast she runs, she's not making it there. It's a great line for establishing his threat level, but the Toymaker wanted Donna there and nothing the Doctor or Donna did was going to matter until she had seen and heard what the Toymaker wanted her to see and hear.
ToyMaker appearance overwhelmed me! It seems he was super villian ever in Doctor Who!!!
I just realized that laugh is the same laugh that is later used by the Maestro.
Yes.. that's why the doctor was scared of maestros laugh
Best part of this show
ha-ha-ha HA-HA-HA ha
The accent gives me ear chancer but still funny
Would Davros,The Zygons,Silences,Snowmen & Weeping Angels Join Lord Vortech in LEGO Dimension’s
The accent is horrible
The toy maker. Guy who controls reality
1:25 Toymaker: Miss me Heir Doctor.. because only I and my fellows in the pantheon certainly have missed you😏😈
Including The One Who Waited...Sue-Tech.
@@davidchism6081 he was included but I intentionally left his name out to avoid spoiling it
after this guy, a giant dog of a god showed up, someone that the Doctor knew from his past as well, does this mean that more old enemies from his past are gonna resurface in the first time in decades?
The toymaker my fav from the doctor
The first time I heard the line “Donna go back to the Tardis” it sent shivers down my spine, as I knew for the Doctor to say that it must be serious
Had the exact same feel as Turn Left when Donna wakes up from the trickster bug and remembers the blonde woman and to tell the Doctor something and they run outside and the TARDIS has translated every text everywhere to BAD WOLF and the cloister bells in the TARDIS are ringing to warn the end of the universe. SO badass.
I agree
Very rare for the doctor to show genuine fear here. He knows who he is up against and what is at stake. He also knows the ones he care about are in danger as long as the toymaker is free.
@@jamiestewart48 Oh yeah another iconic moment of British television
@@jamiestewart48 You say "badass" I say "lame magical rule-of-cool plotting that makes no sense".
I hate current doctor who (For the most part) but this man is an amazing Toymaker. Gotta give credit where its due.
