As a youtube commenter who's opinion is probably worth nothing: I prefer people to pause videos to talk about them rather than just talk over them.
It's also kinda disrespectful to the original content, like you're already using someone else's content, the least you could do is watch and listen to the whole thing while barely missing anything by pausing during times when you wanna voice your opinion on what you just watched.
The viewers wont hate constant pauses, may be get a little annoyed with it, but they'll appreciate it nonetheless, since the person reacting isn't missing out on much, if at all.

I delight in seeing the downfall of Hasan for one reason. He is a bully. The first time I saw him, there was some streamer meet up and all he did was walk around and belittle other people. I feel like it’s important to note people leave your stream not because of you but because they got their own lives to live. Whether they are getting off to go to sleep, go to work, go play a game, go to the dinner table, etc their entire lives rarely revolve around you.
And some of those views might be people falling asleep while watching the stream which is still counted as a view. Speaking from personal experience. 😅

I don’t understand the complaints about reactors pausing the video. Like, if you want to watch the video uninterrupted, watch the video yourself. I want to see the reactions and thoughts of the streamer, and I’d rather they pause to talk than miss something funny or important
It mainly just disrupts the flow of the experience. It's like pausing at the the first joke of a old simpsons episode and then continues it. Without letting the entire scene play as it was meant to.

1:45 Normaly I would agree, but not with Hasan. Some time ago I watched some other breadtubers videos before to see what all the fuzz was about. Some were informative, some were less and some gave an interesting viewpoint and/or philosophy on things. At the end I mostly disagreed with their political views, but I never hated them. BUT Hasan is just the worst. I was (and still am) shocked that people take political views from that muppet. It became apparent for me that this guy has no clue what he's talking about then he talked about the politics in my country.

As far as 10k streamers go, I don't see how Hasan can compete against streamers who actually do things and produce content for people to watch.
i.e. Sykkuno twisting and stirring GTA RP scenarios into sadge farms or situations of pure chaos or comedy.

There was a video I saw where Hassan was getting super heated talking with his chat, and a viewer that was subscribed to him for over a year on twitch made a comment (I don't remember the topic of discussion). When Hassan read it, he very angrily said, "You think I disagree with that? Get banned for life idiot." Then proceeded to perma-ban the subscriber and kept insulting them. For a statement that he claimed he agreed with. That manchild gets 0 sympathy.
It does feel like Hassan got so caught up in the “political reaction streamer” genre that he never carved out a niche for himself. He’s always just been the guy that people tune into to hear political opinions, because there are SO MANY PEOPLE who don’t just form their own opinions and it’s infuriating!!!

Only a small portion of his viewers are hate watchers, but also most of his viewers aren't particularly fans of hassan. They agree with him in a tribal manner, but his popularity has always been due to carrying viewers from when he was with TYT.
You can see this in the data, where he spikes suddenly when he first starts streaming independently, but there's never really net growth it just fluctuates.
It's kinda inevitable that he will eventually lose popularity, because no matter how slow or permissive his viewers are, he's really not compelling in himself. He might act as a nexus for people to submit videos and share them with a bit of parasocial reaction mixed in, but if he's clearly disinterested, then after a while people just stop taking stuff to him to show.
I can only imagine that it probably is draining to him to try and act relatable and interested, to his viewers when he's aware that he's clueless about or be affected by these things that his viewers bring to him.
His excuse for those messages was that he was didn't like how his community didn't like to have fun and watch him do non-political things. He's the one who made his community like this, and it shows when he threw Ethan Klein under the bus rather than stand up for him and they're friendship.

The point of him leaving while he plays someone else's video isn't that he leaves for a couple of seconds. He leaves for a very long time and just plays other people's content. Often he would play full videos, come back when it's done because he could see it where he's at in his house and only go back to his chair to pick another video, only to go back and be away for a long time again. THAT is the problem. And even when he is at his chair, it wouldn't even be any different because his interaction with the vid is basically the same as when his chair was empty. This is common for a Hassan stream.

It sure does suck to see your career take a hit like that. What sucks more however, is being that guy who took something for granted and then throwing a tantrum because you feel entitled to peoples loyalty to your content. I only hope they werent real people that they were just view bots.
I never bragged about being good at tests. It's just pattern recognition and a general understanding of the subject matter for me, but guess what? I failed out of college because I never learned how to properly study. So fat lot of good that did me, basically just inflated my sense of intelligence until it was too late to not have debt over it. Meanwhile, my brother who always tried hard graduated with a 4.0+ GPA on the Dean's List from college because he didn't go in blind like me.
