In regards to the Ketchup Karen: if they don't give you enough ketchup for your liking, in every American McDonald's, and most other fast food places, they have a little section on the counter behind you when you place your order that ketchup packets, sometimes even a ketchup pump (and a mustard one), so she could have put as much or as little more as she wanted. She just wanted the attention and a free burger by complaining about something completely inconsequential, and for that, she got fired.
While I agree thst getting her fired is a bit much, if she's so immature that she'll throw a hissy fit over ketchup, she was probably on thin ice at work. She strikes me as someone who would get in a coworker's face and berate them because she *thought* she heard them say something she didn't like.
Almost ready to bet the video was just the last straw. If she's behaving like that over too much sauce on her burger, I'd be willing to put some serious money down that she blew up over other things at work and the massive PR disaster was just the excuse they needed to get rid of her.
Especially since she had literally zero remorse and not even enough cunning to PRETEND to be sorry in the response video. According to her making a huge scene at some teens putting burgers together because she had too much ketchup on her cheap fastfood burger is entirely reasonable.
People like that only keep their job is they're extremely efficient or own the business.

@25:44 I saw this same situation happen at my local Wal-Mart and the guy had his friend was recording and both thought it was real funny. Then the man they did this to pulled out a revolver he was wearing on his hip held it to the guys head and then yelled for security because he thought he was being robbed. Amazing how quickly both of them quit laughing. Cops did come and arrested both of the "pranksters" and let the shopper get back to his shopping.
If the guy they were harassing had been less kind, they might be dead. They got lucky.
Nothing more irritating than people coming just before a close to demand you sort them out and it's always the people who want to take their time as slowly as humanly possible too. I worked in a deli and I had a lady throw a tantrum, call for a manager and demand I get fired because I wouldn't slice meat at 10:02pm ....I finished closing at 9:57pm
It's a self-explaining thing too, they take so long being a nuisance to other people at other shops that they get to you at StupidPM and demand you let their late ass in.
WORST PART IS they're also coupon scrapers. They will give you shit for the coupon that expired 6 weeks ago at 10PM and take their time digging through a whole bag of paper scraps.
When I worked at Subway a guy was mad we put to much mustard on his sandwich so someone I worked with had me do dishes and made the customer a new one, when he got to the sauces the customer asked for mustard (obviously) but kept saying “add more”, after the 3rd time of saying add more my co worker got pissed squeezed the bottle till the lid shot into the sandwich and mustard exploded everywhere. To which my co worker acted like he couldn’t speak English and kept his head down trying not to laugh while saying sorry over and over. the customer said “wow” left and everyone else in the restaurant could not stop laughing and one guy even gave us all $20 tip and said we gave the best show with his food ever.

If you're going to expect employees to do more work after the business is closed, then you should either adjust the business hours to close a bit earlier so they can still close out within their shift time, pay them overtime, or adjust their shift times and either have someone else open or you do it yourself. Anything else just means you're trying to get free work out of your employees.
Ya I do agree with her take assuming her scheduled hours ended at 9 like the business hours. When working at Dollarama I was scheduled for 30mins to 1hr past closing. So we would usually let customers shop around up to 5mins before closing, before sending them to the cashier. Sometimes we would let someone in a minute before closing if they just wanted to buy a quick item. After closing, that's when we did all the cleaning and counting. If it was very quiet before closing, there would be someone already cleaning and counting the other tills except for one, to get a head start.
So ya, like I said, it is fair to have her clean up her station and deny service around 10-15mins before closing if she is scheduled to leave at the same time she closes. Otherwise, overtime should be granted.
At least the dancing lady in the last one checked behind her , I saw the kid and immediately thought “oh no, someone is gettin’ hit”

Often with the intention of coaxing a smile out of them apparently. Might be kinda funny in movies from decades ago but holy fuck is it obnoxious in real life. Also their guns are always loaded so this shit going wrong could spiral fast if the guard has had enough.
The most my mother have ever told a McDonalds employee was ask where our food was, after 60minutes of waiting... we got a extra cheeseburger and frites for the trouble, that their machine didn't show our order and that we needed to wait...

i once went to a food truck that serves hot dogs sandwiches and french fries, they closed at 00:00 i got there at 23:40 ish, I politely asked if they could squeeze in a small french fries, they agreed and made the food, I gave them a tip and thanked them profusely. there are ways to get what you want without being an asshole.

I get what you mean, but honestly, religious nutjobs shoving their beliefs down our throats is super annoying sometimes. The thing about the royal guard stuff is they've been showing people fucking with them in movies for decades as like a fun tourist thing to do, like that's the whole reason you see them. I don't know why that's a trope in TV and movies, but I do kind of understand why people don't treat them with the respect they deserve.

Working in grocery store we start to close/clean places 2h before closing and some things are "out of order" for that reason before closing. We would take customers in even if it was 2min before, but we would hassle them to just grab something quick and leave. We are also paid 15 min after closing to count the till and close up.

Remember in america most if not all fast food restirants give ketchup packets free of charge. Most the time you can get it by the drinks stand so you can literally get 40 packets and no one will say shit.

Four times in a row McDonald's has messed up my order. One time they gave me a double quarter pounder with one patty instead of two. The time after that was the same burger, but no bottom bun. Then they forgot an extra order of fries twice. No big problem. You tell them, and they fix your order. Now I go to Burger King instead. Anyone who takes it further than being slightly annoyed needs to take anger management.
These people have no real adversity in their lives so they turn the tiniest problem into a big deal. Also a complete lack of self-awareness.

As someone who has worked in customer service and fast food, most of us have absolutely no problem correcting a mistake on an order if you ask nicely. But the second you throw hissy fit no one wants to help you. Courtesy goes a long way. It doesnt matter if its someones job, just be courteous and we will go out of our way for you -_-

When I worked at McDonald’s it was McRib season got an order for one made it and sent it out. It got sent back because they wanted more sauce. So the McRib we had a bin of hot bbq sauce you would dip the meat in. Ok so no problem dunked it again got it pretty dang saucy….it got sent back again. I took the whole sandwich and dipped it and sent it back 😂

The one with the tourists heckling the royal guard is just disgusting though. These guys are forbidden from tallking and often even moving. I'm always a bit cranky during Christmas as I spent far too long working retail and listening to the same Holiday songs repeated every day three or four times for a month while dealing with the World's worst Karens because, for some reason, the Holidays bring out the worst entitlement in these people. It didn't help that we would start putting out displays of Christmas junk in August so the stress always started early. And I, in spite of my Holiday crankiness, would never even consider going off on a restaurant employee. Especially over something as stupid as "they gave me extra ketchup when I asked for extra ketchup."
