I'm Brazilian and I can confirm that invoice was written in Portuguese.
Chega a ser cômico ela estar tão confiante de que é espanhol
Mas não tem como esperar muito de uma americana vtuber
Even as a French i can clearly tell it was portugese lmfao the "ç" letter doesn't exist in spanish, but in portugese and french it does.
Lol, she reading the Portuguese text with her Italian accent was fucking hilarious. Also, the Ding Dong was right.
Alana thought she was slick thinking that receipt was spanish. We must send her to brazil
Reads Portuguese with Italian accent, then says that's Spanish. Smartest Vtuber.
i was like why does she have the mario accent at the start lmao
Damn, y did she have to break the bubble like that bro? Actually a dunce, damn!!!! Even talked shit to the dude who corrected her and doubled down with extra wrongness.😢😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
well she supposedly speaks three languages 😅
Clearly, none of them are Portuguese. I used to work with a dude from Brazil. I admittedly know very, very little, and I still knew enough to know right away.
@@theJuLYheat Eu nem prestei atenção na hora que ela falou
02:50 Portuguese here. That's portuguese, not spanish.
I even live 10 minutes away from Primavera, the company on that document. :D
took 30 sec to google translate it, indeed Portuguese.
Isso e obviously Portuguese, not a big Mystery lol
When that random chater said that the invoice for the polycarbonate was in Portuguese not Italian and everyone turned on him calling him an idiot, when he was 100% right, just goes to show mob mentality is a real thing. It doesn't really mater, just something to point out.
It was actually portuguese
Agradezco el hecho de que supiera de la existencia de los distintos idiomas y que no solo llamara a todos de la misma manera, pero hablar portugués con acento italiano y después decir que es español, duele en el alma
It's a club with all that force focused into that tiny sharp edge
he's reinvented the axe
@@luddite31 but now it's harder to break
Alana.... That IS Portuguese
so glad i was here for portuguesegate, shes summoned the brazilians
I was going to say, in the comments, about the document being in Portuguese, but I didn't expect to see so many Brazilians here.
We Smell Peoples who Says Portuguese is Spanish and then we Hunt
"Pretty sure that was Spanish btw" so you weren't completely sure yourself and yelled at the person in your chat calling them wrong when they were actually correct
that is, in fact, Portuguese....
2:50 it was portuguese

Definitivamente está escrito em português 😂
Yeah, the Ç gives it away
Yup. Good old português.
She is a vtuber, guys, have some patience, let her have that one....kekw
Oh come on it's basically the same thing. Lol
Lmao it was Portuguese
Never change the intro song ever its the best part only change visuals! i know you didnt change it here but its important
For real. Dont get rid of the most adorkable thing ever
Sometimes I click just to hear the intro again and end up staying for the rest.
Doug from Forged in Fire with the Pineapple test after the catastrophic failure: "*Sigh* Mike, your katana will not keel".
He swings the sword down then up, that's why it flexes so much it breaks the first time.
This also shows why edge alignment is important, and that katana's super beginner-friendly in regards to that.
Confidently incorrect is my favourite kind of incorrect. Especially from Americans.
She's not American.
People who live in the US aren't American.
Noted.

It was portuguese. Not even close to spanish.
02:55 Erm... No, thats really Portuguese
But its okay, everyone makes mistakes
yeah, but everyone pilling onto that one person is kinda shitty, regardless
I know that pain, I'm studying to be a jeweler, so ignoring getting marked on how well we sand and polish the piece, the only time we use a machiene for sanding is when we do the inside of ring bands, the rest is by hand in small crevices.
Also harsh angles are liable to cause structural failure, thats why most load bearing structure have radised corners.
That's literally one of the thickest katanas I've ever seen. 😶
It's the reason it's having a hard time cutting into objects.
It's smashing the hard objects and leaving dents in them from the sharp edge and weight and force behind it but it's not able to get a clean cut because of the thickness.
The channel "Screen Tested" just did a video recently going over this, and why it acted the way it did. Good video and worth a watch.
@@ShinKyuubi I'll have to watch that, thanks. I'm in HEMA, till my illness, and I'd like someone to show that lad how to cut a bit better. It would definitely improve the performance EVEN though it's a chonky critter to swing... swinging even metal swords like that with that much deformation in your blade due to your cutting form runs the risk of a break (or bend, in the case of differential steels in real katanas) too.
I'm really glad he had fun though, I'd love to try to make that first one he made, leave a "hamon" unpolished, frosted, mmm. Would look quite lovely if you're going to have a wall-hanger have one made of "crystal" lol
Take care Kyuubi-san
The tang shoulder was a hard angle, which meant that kinetic stress was likely going to turn it into a breaking point.
You need the ricasso and tang shoulder to have a circular angle as it tapers down. No sharp angles. It's much less likely to crack or fracture when stressed.
It's a pretty beginner mistake and I had a feeling it would snap there when I first saw it.
The fact that Alana was confidentially incorrect when she thought the language in the document was Italian, rather than Portuguese, was hilarious.
Look who's the real ding dong...
it was literally Portuguese om
I knew it was going to break off the handle. When sword makers make the handle (called a tang), they don't make a 90 degree corner cut between the blade and handle area.
Every guy's dream is to wield an Aura/Elemental sword. 😂
Darkdrift from dark souls lol
Is corrected and tells the person who said they were wrong while correcting them after pronouncing the words in it latían accent and ends up being wrong after everyone in her TH-cam comments call her out and tell her that it was in fact Portuguese
I recently found this channel, and I have to sub because I love SmugAlana's laugh
The blade broke at the handle because he 90° cut at the handle blade transition. Specially with brittle materials he should have a smoother transition in circular shape
I used to sharp ALL of my rulers into that shape or just giving it a pointy end to stab, man this is bringing some childhood memories
Lmao, there are so many comments pointing out that it was indeed Portuguese
Semi invisible Katana
50 base dmg
(35 Bludgeoning dmg + 15 slashing dmg)
A mostly invisible Katana
+50% surprise attack
There is a 33% chance on every successfull slash that the invisibility comes
There is 100% chance for the invisibility to come off on each successfull piercing attack
Must wash the blade for the invisibility to come back
That sander would create a killer edm sample
Perfect timing Let’s go another Video by alana
Im portuguese and i can confirm that is portuguese 3:20
Imagine using a polycarbonate katana while wearing a vanta black cloak, MAX STEALTH
I feel bad for that chatter that was actually right about the invoice being in Portuguese, Alana needs to chiiiil 🤣
Less a katana and more a Messer
My first thought was To use air. A blast of air is able to cut threw stuff if it’s pressure is high enough. And so is water for that matter but it’s not as clear as air. Water is used to cut rocks at high pressure and air can also cut threw stuff. Make a high rpsssure air thing and boom it cuts
Dude could have made like 4 out of all the waste he had. Geez.
22:03 my conclusion of this video is that polymers make for a fantastic blunt weapon, something like a hammer. A very big hammer.
You can actually use aluminum oxide to make a tough glass, metal glass, it sounds like an oxymoron but it's real XD
The guy making the sword must think he's Trafalgar Law
ngl love that little derpy alana in the beginning 0:00 anywho keep up the great video alana
It wasn’t Professor Moriarty btw.
Moriarty was the antagonists of the second Sherlock Holmes film.
I like this guy, especially his video about stopping a bullet with an arrow.
The channel Screen Tested put out a response to the vid Alana’s reacting to about an hour ago.
While polycarbonate is a strong material, it won't hold an edge for more than a few cuts. If he had the money, he should use Aluminum Oxynitride.
probably could have cut clean through the watermelon if his edge alignment wasn't horrible xD
I’m gonna add “Invisible Sword” to my list of “Slightly futuristic Metal Gear ass scifi plot” gimmick weapons in case I ever write a scifi book.
his weapon acts more like a club because of he angel of the edge it doesnt have as acute as an edge as when he tried it the first time a more acute edge allows it to glide through the material better but more obtuse edges are better for separating tougher materials like how wood cutting axes tend to have much wider blades than swords the blade itself is also too thick but considering the material he works with and what he is trying to do it is an acceptable decision for the first couple tries
That poly-carbonate flexed like forged steel on a sword, that price isn't so bad given how thick it is. I get 1/8 sheets for 25 each and their tiny. Bandsaws are one of the scarier tools aside from router tables, out saw throws blades alot.
I was so confused, I thought that I watched this video already but realized that I saw it on the Twitch stream instead.
Ah yes, the semi-invisible bonking stick
Now he just needs to make a new one out of transparent aluminium.
This man actually made the Darkdrift.
6:45 my boi ASMRgasmed!! *"Rise fellow **#GoonArmy** gooners* *_& salute by thrusting your penices in the air!!!_*
Clear=/=invisible. The only way to make it “invisible” is with the help of video editing. In other words, unless you can solidify air, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to
actually make an “invisible sword”
Honestly seeing that plate at the start bend that way is scary af. It could have shot anywhere and with that amount of force I'd break bones.
It was actually Portuguese apology video when Alana? (I'm totally not being biased because I'm pt)
for a bandsaw you really need to adjust the foot as close as you can to whatever you're cutting. Less bend to the bandsaw blade means its less-likely to near-impossible its gonna bind and snap on you.
Regardless, he did a good job.
Saw this video but couldn't make it thru all the way
The fox in the right corner really helps
nah.. its not like a club... he uses it like a club... i didnt see one cutting motion from his body(for reference there is a technique for everything, for example boxers when they hit they never throw straight punches, instead the rotate their fist(the further its from the punch the more power it will hold) and their hip to generate more force into the punch as a constant motion, at least thats what I think is happening there)
Alana cooked with that roast and burned the whole ass dish
I can see a few issues he's having cutting.
He made a straight blade. It's easier to cut with curved blades than with straight ones. Not much of a factor but a little more curvature would've helped.
His blade is too thick. His first sword he made probably would've cut alot better but I understand why he didn't use it. It wasn't invisible, which is the point of the video. I'm just saying blades are shaped the way they are for a reason.
The material he was using would've been alot better for cutting if it was more rigid. That said, it would be decent for thrusting. You want a flexible blade for that. I think the polycarbonate is too flexible though. It's bouncing everywhere. You don't want that if you're trying to cut. A little more curvature would've helped deal with that a little.
His technique isn't great. I don't know if he practices or not so I'm not gonna hold it against him but he was swinging it like a bat. Especially with a straight blade like he had, you want to do a push pull motion to hit it at an angle. It also helps when you hit at the point of balance. Then there is edge alignment, which you don't get the feel for until you've practiced cutting for awhile.
I think it might've been too light too. It's a little easier to cut when you have some weight behind it. I don't know for sure though. Would a piece of polycarbonate that size weigh about 3-4 lbs?
I also would've liked to see how that would've held up against a carbon steel blade for comparison.
There are bigger katanas like that... Like the blade is scarily big. Usually the handle is a loooooot longer than that tho lol
"indestructible" *shows a nokia* yep sounds right fricking bricks haha
6:27 he said a few seconds of silence not a few seconds of yapping
"you should lick it" tf Alma?? He just used toxic chemicals on it
Had he made it out of steel, it would most likely still have snapped. He cut the tang out at 90° angles making 2 weak spots in the most vulnerable part of a blade.
6:44 me when a new Alana video drops
Totally Unrelated:
I just saw an anime and the intro, that kinda made me think of Alana from looks alone.😅
its named: Chillin' in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers
Yeah you would need really good edge alignment to cut with that taper lmao
That sword needs some LED

Its literally Callandor from WoT
You like this stuff, you should look up the Deadliest Warrior show
O Dachi with a smol handle
It snapped because that bevel edge is trash and hella resistant
When it does cut it’s all bludgeoning force
wish he tested the first one ❤
a good lesson
Im a blacksmith i do stuff with metal almost lost a finger or two
I stayed up all night
the band saw is one of the eaiser macines to handle
Armchair swordsmith and amatuer swordsman here. He has two problems with the cutting potential. 1. His form is bad. He has poor edge alignment. 2. That blade geometry is fucking terrible for cutting anything. It's another instance of "forgetting physics" . If he had used the first blade he made it would have had great cutting power, but ironically I don't know if it would have had as durable a blade. I have no idea how well Polycarbonate keeps an edge. A blade with that profile holds an edge very well, but it doesn't cut for shit because the angle of the sides of the blade does an exceptionally bad job of moving the material it is trying to move through apart. A longer bevel on the blade makes it easier for the blade to move into the target.
It might not be a certified sword, but it is certifiably dangerous.
IT WAS PORTUGUESE!!!!!
..Ela realmente achou que era espanhol?
Kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
E eu achando que ela tava brincando
The poor guy in the chat, was right but noone believed him.
If he had some sword lessons or someone who knows how to use one it would probably perform better.
I think his swings are more baseball swings. 😅
next task: stopping a fox vtuber from chopping up too much fruit salad 😆
bro she made the vid much longer😂
I wish he could fix the handle somehow. The way it is now feel incomplete.
