  • Reveal New Zealand Ep.13 - Today we're heading to Takaka and the doorstep of Golden Bay, catching our lunch at Anatoki Salmon Farm and seeing Te Waikoropupu Springs, the largest in the Southern Hemisphere...⬇ More Below ⬇
    What a stunning part of New Zealand! This area is known for the incredible beaches of Golden Bay, but we heard about a different kind of water that we couldn't skip in Takaka... Te Waikoropupu Springs is the largest freshwater spring in New Zealand with insanely clear water. In a lake around the road, at Anatoki Salmon farm, a spot of fishing and our lunch is waiting.
    Anatoki Salmon farm is a really cool concept - they provide the fishing gear, you catch the salmon, they cook it for you to your liking and you sit in the sun with a beer. Yup, that's perfectly fine with us! Definitely not something to miss for your New Zealand trip and a mission out to Takaka or Golden Bay - geni.us/anatok...
    The Pupu springs full Maori name is the Te Waikoropupu Springs and they're a real highlight of the area. These bad boys are not only the largest freshwater springs in New Zealand but also the largest cold water springs in the Southern Hemisphere. It's a lovely walk around the springs with incredible sounds and a peaceful setting.
    We stayed at the Abel Tasman Lodge. It's the perfect spot for jumping into the park and exploring the local area.. plus, it's so incredibly homely and welcoming! Check their availability here - geni.us/abelta...
    Special thanks to Nelson Tasman tourism for helping us showcase Takaka and Golden Bay today! See what else you can get up to in Nelson Tasman here - geni.us/nelson...
    Reveal NZ is a 20+ part video series, so make sure you're subscribed to follow along with all episodes here: goo.gl/SWdJQH More than just taking a motorhome around New Zealand, it's about how to travel New Zealand, the top tourist spots, the hidden local gems, incredible day trips, extreme activities, amazing accommodation and a spot of wining and dining... It's about making you feel like you're along for the travels with us, so grab a drink of your poison, sit back and get ready for 5 weeks driving in a campervan hire from Auckland to The Catlins.

    Nicest people on earth, Dane and Stacey and of course everyone in New Zealand. Our visit there was over 20 years ago and the memories are just as fresh today. We will say this, been following Dane and Stacey since nearly the beginning and their production quality, is like a fine wine. It only improves with age ! So smooth, so polished and so comfortable in front of the camera. We love your work ! Loni & Al

      @@DanegerAndStacey ahh so true. NZ seems to be way more strict compared to other places in the world. Thanks for getting back so quick. Also have bookmarked all the places so we can visit on our trip too. Thanks for all the fantastic information. Recommend you to everyone for NZ holiday planning 😀

    That's the freshest best looking fish dinner I have seen. Question: near the end of the video did Dane open a bottle with a bottle? If yes that trick needs to be an Instagram story.-Shawna🍁

    My Finnish self is amused at the idea of "below ten" being cold for winter. Unless you meant "below minus ten" and then I might agree with you 😁

    • @simonmaney3438
      @simonmaney3438 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Freezing temps in NZ can feel surprisingly cold because of the amount of moisture in the air. We have what is known as a 'Maritime Climate' (the moisture) and no land mass between us and Antarctica. It was a Canadian acquaintance used to -25c temps that highlighted this 'anomaly'. (Fortunately our summers can be quite warm when Antarctica tends to mind its own business).

    • @laulutar
      @laulutar 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@simonmaney3438 I get that. I've lived in a maritime climate too, and currently live in a coastal area, so I understand that the damp is a real kicker.
