Hello,I am from Nova Scotia, Canada and I am planning to move to New Zealand. Your videos are very helpful and well done! I will be working in Auckland and because I am used to living in or near the woods or bush as you call it I think West area would be best for me. I watched your video of your trip to the west that was great, have you gone to Titirangi, that area looks nice. Thanks Dean
Hi Dean thanks for watching our videos 😊👋 west Auckland will suit you perfectly if you like Bush and woods 🪵 especially further out west you go. We are heading out that direction for a vlog this weekend so might stop off in titirangi if we have time, there's a couple of nice beaches and an art museum out there.
Have you gone when the beach hop has been on Tom? We never knew it was such a huge event 😄 We're the same as you at the moment.. But probably gonna wait it out a bit first though and see how things go!
Wow really? Such a kiwi classic! Have you had whitebait fritters/omelet before (like without the bread?) I guess we don't really see it on many menus anymore so whenever we do Peter tends to go for it 🙂👍
@@PeterandYen I've had plenty of whitebait fritters in my day, my mum originated on the West Coast of the South Island where it is its own food group. I've never had it with bread or toast and never heard of it being eaten that way. Even decent recipes for mock whitebait fritters are nice...
Ooo I've heard whitebait fritters are particularly yum in the South Island! I wonder if it's a regional thing to eat it with bread.. no idea haha we'll keep a look out next time we see it on takeaway menus! 😊

hello peter and yen ,once again a fantastic video, just laughed so much at yen opening those fish n chips. now when i was over there i so much wanted to try the whitebait fritter [ love whitebait ] but alas everywhere i went they kept telling me that the whitebait was out of season, so hopefully next time .which i hope wont be too far away god willing haha . once again i wait in anticipation for the next video as they do make me feel like i am there, and yes i agree with you paka hill reminded me of munganui , and you know i might just try that raw fish dish one day too . you guys take care yeah
Thanks Barry 😁✌ I think the actual footage of yen trying to open the fish and chips was about 2 minutes long 😂😂 aaa bummer you missed out on the fritter a lot of places have a frozen supply to get through the other months but depends where you go. The next one will be special for you I think but won't say anymore so as not to spoil it 😉

Good day Peter and Yen. Greeting from KL Malaysia again.
Hiya Beng Chai from us here in NZ 😁👋🇳🇿 Hope you had a nice weekend! Thanks for watching our vlog 🙂
Thanks
Dean
Hi Dean thanks for watching our videos 😊👋 west Auckland will suit you perfectly if you like Bush and woods 🪵 especially further out west you go. We are heading out that direction for a vlog this weekend so might stop off in titirangi if we have time, there's a couple of nice beaches and an art museum out there.
Pls do a fashion/ wardrobe video. I love Yen's style.
Aww thank you that's too kind! 🥰❤️ Not sure if many other people would find that interesting though haha 🤣
I liked Whangamata too :) Just weighing up the pros and cons of heading over the ditch to Oz. Are you guys going?
Have you gone when the beach hop has been on Tom? We never knew it was such a huge event 😄 We're the same as you at the moment.. But probably gonna wait it out a bit first though and see how things go!
Magic. Never heard of whitebait on toast though...
@@PeterandYen definitely West Coast whitebait is famous. And the whitebaiters themselves are very defensive of their spots, year after year, generation after generation...
Oh wow interesting to know! Now we wanna try eat some from there 😄

4:39...They're not stones, they're minerals
No one cares that he opened the video saying he's eating baby fish? Wouldn't be as bad if they were older fish but the baby fish didn't even get a chance to experience life yet. Wow.
